DONA International-Approved Birth Doula Skills Workshop

This rigorous, robust workshop equips you with the skills and knowledge to get you successfully started as a Birth Doula. The workshop is fast-paced and intensive. Please be prepared to complete 4 hours of prep work before each class in addition to reading the fifth edition of The Birth Partner. This workshop fulfills three requirements towards DONA International certification for birth doulas: The Birth Doula Workshop, the Introduction to Childbirth and the Breastfeeding for Doulas course work requirements.

DONA International

2023 DONA International Summit

The 2023 conference will be a multi-day event held in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. We are planning for interactive live sessions where participants will gain important new skills while also connecting with doula colleagues. The in-person aspect of the event will once again bring us together to learn, grow, reflect, and celebrate the work of the doula and the future of our profession. EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION APRIL 1 - MAY 15 The Summit focuses on key areas for professional growth offering continuing education hours for recertification with DONA International. Full attendance meets both the birth doula and postpartum doula recertification requirement. The DONA International Summit is one way we continue to provide the highest standard of evidence-based training and education to our members. The core conference qualifies as formal continuing education for doula recertification and trainer reapproval with DONA International and most other certification organizations.

This is potentially the MOST crucial time of life for new babies and new moms. This workshop will go deeper into the soul level of what new moms and new babies are experiencing and expecting. You will learn how to use your heart and your hands to create a positive postpartum experience for families. Day One: Holistic Care of the Body, Mind and Spirit of the Birthing Person. (Payment Plans available) This event meets the workshop requirement for International Board Certification through MaternityWise for the CLD, CPD and CLSE programs. You will also have eClasses to complete as well as reading and written work along with mentoring assignments and hands-on evaluations with clients. Birth Doula Training

Birth Doula Training (Hybrid in NJ), December 15-17, 2023 This training is IN-PERSON at The Birth Center of NJ for hands-on experience! Should you wish to join us virtually you may do so through ZOOM! We cannot fix maternal disparities by creating disparities in trainings and education modules. Birth justice is a tenet of doula work but so is evidence-based birth advocacy. Understanding more than just the stages of labor, but how to doula within them and recognize when birth needs interventions is crucial for safe and empowered birthing families. Join doula who feel READY to start their doula journey after training since business training is also added. Mentoring is required for certification.
