WBP Trainings are rooted in self-discovery and understanding. WBP invites participants to explore their shadow sides, to understand their privilege and their biases and their social position as we do this we work. We explore the ways in which we are impacted by white supremacy in order to do the least amount of harm in this work. WBP Postpartum Doula training is rooted in ancient traditions as well as modern ones with the goal of honoring the spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional shift of becoming a parent. We learn postpartum anatomy, how to create nourishing meals, and how to care for people in their first year after birth.

This is an immersive, 4-day, in person retreat-style training for folks interested in learning Whole Body Pregnancy Postpartum Care Provider (Doula) Training in a hands-on experience. This training is taught by queer and Black or Brown people and is rooted in reproductive justice and anti-racism. Whole Body Pregnancy is rooted in affirming, whole-istic, person-centered approach to learning about all aspects of people’s reproductive journey. This work is rooted in self-discovery and an intimate understanding of who we are as individuals; who are we? what do we believe? Whole Body Pregnancy believes that before working with people along with this incredible transition of becoming parents, that we as doulas need to do our own work. This training asks the practitioner to do personal work. It asks them to hold a mirror up to themselves, to work with their shadow side, to stand in their beliefs. This is personal work. This is communal work.
