MaternityWise was a great option for me because of their flexible online courses, affordable courses and flexible payment plan. Those features, combined with their high standard of care, are what ultimately led me to choose MaternityWise for my certification.

The community is also very close-knit and supportive, which made the learning experience even better. Even after completing my courses, the MaternityWise community has continued to offer support, encouragement, and guidance, which has been incredibly valuable as I continue my journey as a doula.

Another aspect that really drew me to MaternityWise was that the evaluations required for certification came from my clients rather than medical professionals. As doulas, our clients are the ones who hire us and experience our support firsthand, so I appreciated that their feedback and experiences were prioritized throughout the certification process.

With my busy life, the 18-month completion timeframe — along with the optional six-month extension — was another major selling point and allowed me to complete the program at a pace that worked well for me.

It may sound cliché to most, however attending MaternityWise International has been life changing! Since the first virtual class I took, to where I am today. Anne Wallen and the other amazing team leaders have a passion for teaching as well as the passion for being part of the birthing community. The classes themselves are informative, fun and you know without a shadow of a doubt you are learning from the best! I appreciate MaternityWise for giving me time to take my course as this happened all during the pandemic and my own pregnancy! They continue to support me and the other students as we grow our business and birthing community. I cannot begin to express how grateful I am that I found MaternityWise. In the midst of the pandemic, my dream of becoming a doula was destroyed when no organiztion was doing in-person training. After asking around I was connected with owner Anne Wallen, who talked to me for over an hour and answered every question I had regarding becoming a doula. I knew instantly i wanted to learn from her. And she did not disappoint. She is not only smart and knowledgeable about the birth world, but she is kind and loving and wants to best for every student. She has since mentored me for over 4 years and I am so blessed to have her in my life. I loved training with MaternityWise Institute. The trainers are always lively and are very educated. The organization itself is a sisterhood and the fact that you are assigned a mentor to help you along the way takes them over the top. Whenever someone is looking for a training I alway refer to MWI!
