I love helping with natural births, whether they are on land or water births!
Attends home births? Any Home Birth
Home births are amazing! I can assist in any way needed, whether its support for the mother, helping with other children, or almost anything requested.
BA/BS
I support Illinois midwives through the Illinois Friends of Midwives group. This group is working to pass legislation to make home birth safer in Illinois by pushing for licensing CPMs. I also support IC4IC to help ensure everyone can make the best choices for themselves and their families through informed choice.
My fees range greatly due to the various services I provide. I offer Placenta encapsulation for $250. I teach childbirth courses a la carte based on where you are in pregnancy for $150 per class or $400 if you sign up for all 3 (early pregnancy and choices, labor and delivery, and postpartum/nursing). I offer birth doula services for $900. I offer $100 off for each service added to the original (for example, the total for classes, PE, and doula services would be $1450). That being said, there is wiggle room as I want to be able to accommodate as many women from as many backgrounds as possible. I do offer reduced fees and/or payment plans for clients with tight budgets as I believe every woman who wants a doula should have a doula.

I could not have done two unmedicated births without Allison's unwavering support and knowledge. She is a professional in every sense of the word. Her presence on both of our long births brought my spouse and I strength and peace.
We are humbled and grateful for presence, experience, knowledge, and love that she continuously shares with us.
Allison came over after several days postpartum to check-in, provide support, and make the placenta encapsulation. Again, she has made us feel encouraged and supported as we were in the height of change with a newborn and toddler.
I highly recommend Allison as your doula! You will not regret that decision.

I was referred to Allison by my doula and midwife for placenta encapsulation. Allison did a great job with her service. She was professional, punctual, friendly, and super knowledgable. Her services included the placenta encapsulation, saving the placenta broth, and providing a placenta print, which is a very lovely keepsake. It was comforting speaking to someone like Allison after experiencing birth while navigating all the fun things that come postpartum. I'm positive she'd also make a great birthing doula as she had a very calming energy to her.

Allison is absolutely phenomenal! She was able to help me last minute and even came over to my house on such short notice! She has such a sweet spirit and helped me through every step of the way and also answered every question I had which made me feel so comforted and reassured. I highly recommend her and will definitely be calling in the future! :)

I was privileged to have the support & TLC of Allison at my 5th birth, a home waterbirth. She was absolutely WONDERFUL!! Her vast knowlege of how to support a laboring mama was an incredible blessing for my family as we welcomed our baby earthside.
Allison has a calm demeanor, is gentle, & very down to earth. I felt so comfortable with her as if I had known her forever. She supported me through a very challenging labor w/a posterior baby using affirmations, counter pressure, encouragement, essential oils, massage, & love. Before transition, w/her knowledge & use of EO's, I was able to rest & feel such a calm between ctx that I had never experienced w/my other births.
During transition there were honestly times when I wondered how I would make it through yet another contraction as they were on top of one another & not letting up, which lasted for quite some time. My stomach, back, thighs, & hips were all contracting during every contraction; Allison wasn't fazed one bit but calmly kept to the task at hand. She knew how to help me feel some relief, to focus, kept encouraging me that I was doing well, telling me my body was working as it should, & that I would be meeting my baby soon. She was also very reassuring to my hubby & our children that Mama was doing well working very hard to bring baby into the world, & showed (or quietly whispered to) them ways they could also show me love, help me to feel some relief (like putting cool, damp cloths on my forehead & using counterpressure), etc. so that they were also part of the labor & birth.
I <3 Allison, how normal she made birth, & how special she made our birth. Allison has so much to offer a laboring mama (& family). If you hire her you will be in the best hands AND have the BEST freakin' doula EVER!!
