Medicaid Doula Profiles

Are you a doula who serves families covered by Medicaid?

DoulaMatch respects the important work you are doing and we want to increase your visibility to families covered by Medicaid who are looking for available doulas.

We created a special group profile for the doulas in your state who are approved Medicaid providers. This Medicaid group profile appears at the top of the search results, specifically calling out the doulas who work with clients' Medicaid insurance plans. If you are an approved Medicaid provider, you may join your state's Medicaid group profile at no cost to you.

How does it work?

  • Medicaid group profiles available in Washington, Oregon, and California. More states coming soon.
  • If you are an approved Medicaid provider, you can join your state's Medicaid group profile. In California, Medi-Cal fee-for-service providers as well as rendering providers may join.
  • You can join using an existing DoulaMatch profile, or create a new account and doula profile just for Medicaid at no cost to you.
  • DoulaMatch manages each state's group profile. Each state provides a list of doulas approved to bill Medicaid. DoulaMatch uses these lists to verify that doulas applying to the Medicaid group profile are eligible to bill Medicaid. State lists are also monitored regularly and doulas are removed from the Medicaid group profile when they are no longer eligible to bill Medicaid.
  • Medicaid group profiles are pinned to the top of search results. Families may also search within the Medicaid group profile to find the doulas in their state who bill Medicaid.

How is a Medicaid doula profile different from a standard DoulaMatch doula profile?

  • Medicaid doula profiles only appear on the Medicaid group profile page.
  • Medicaid doula profiles do not display any fee information, as fees are billed through Medicaid.

At any time, you may convert your Medicaid doula profile into a standard DoulaMatch profile and appear in all other search results including your state's Medicaid group profile.

You may choose to maintain a separate account and profile for your Medicaid practice. You can have a paid profile and a free Medicaid profile. This can be useful if your Medicaid practice has different branding or a different service area from your paid profile. In the case of having multiple profiles, only one may be a member of the Medicaid group profile.
