Great Starts™ Professional Childbirth Educator’s Workshop

This workshop is designed for anyone with a solid working knowledge of the birth process who wants to effectively share that knowledge with expectant families: nurses, midwives, labor support doulas, physical therapists, maternal-child health care professionals, and others perinatal professionals. We provide a comprehensive training program for aspiring childbirth educators, covering teaching techniques, curriculum planning, and a review of the content covered in childbirth preparation and early parenting classes. This workshop will increase your knowledge and confidence, so you feel prepared to begin teaching birth preparation and parenting classes. Although the primary focus is on teaching classes to groups, participants will also learn educational skills they can use one-on-one with clients. ICEA-Approved for 24 continuing education contact hours. California Board of Registered Nursing-approved for 25 continuing education contact hours.
