Learn benefits of the peanut ball, safety guidelines, positions for natural & epidural labor, posture cues, keys to recall a variety of positions. Zoom in on position selection, birth biomechanics principles, fetal station & positions, AND SO MUCH MORE! Objectives: •Recall essential factors of safe use •Determine size to use relative to the birthing person’s body proportions •Choose size to use relative to the position •Differentiate positions to use for each level of fetal descent •Discuss ways to add movement to otherwise stationary positions •Identify positions useful for special circumstances such as asynclitism, OP, breech •Discuss strategies for energy conservation •• By attending this workshop and completing an evaluation and quiz, registrants will earn a certificate for 6 nursing contact hours.
