We could not have asked for a better doula to guide and support us in the birth of our first child. Tia brings so much experience and a calming demeanor that made us feel like we were truly in capable and caring hands. Tia spent six sessions with us over the course of the third trimester and provided one postpartum session. She was so generous with her time, making sure that all of our questions were answered. We never once felt rushed. With each session, she guided us step-by-step through critical aspects of pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum. She also provided excellent book recommendations. Despite not being able to be physically present during labor and delivery due to COVID restrictions, Tia was there for us at all hours of the day and night through video chat over the course of 36 hours. She helped guide and ground us as we navigated difficult decisions around induction and labor that were not part of our original birth plan. We cannot recommend Tia highly enough.

My whole entire experience working with Tia from BPNE was wonderful. Working around our schedules to do at home child birthing education classes and exercises made us so confident and ready, especially when my water broke at 37 weeks.
We delivered in the hospital and Tia worked with us through every contraction and hour of my labor and made the birth of our son one of the most amazing experiences of our lives. She guided us and helped stick to our plan for a natural birth. The nursing staff and doctors at Concord Hospital couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful it was working with Tia and how professional she was. They told me they see a lot of Doulas and she was by far the best they have seen, and it was one of the best births they have been apart of. Having someone on my team that is so knowledgeable made me feel so comfortable especially being a first time mom. I definitely recommend BPNE to anyone and can’t wait to use them again!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Tia! I hired Tia as my doula for my first pregnancy because I wanted to experience a delivery with as little intervention as possible. Tia met with me, several times before my delivery, in my home, and went over topics like a birth plan, labor positions, and breastfeeding. Late into my pregnancy we found out my baby was breech and that I would most likely need to have a scheduled c section. Tia gave me suggestions for resources that provided information on this, she was there for my external version and supported me through the entire procedure, and most importantly she helped me to feel okay with the fact that my delivery may not be exactly as I had envisioned it. Once we knew that s scheduled c section was my only option, Tia helped me create a birth plan that would still included many of my desires. She was present on the day of my c section and was a great support for my husband and I. Tia was able to come into the operating room with me and she took several pictures of the delivery. Tia remained with me in the recovery room and helped my baby and I get started breastfeeding. She knew how important this was to me and I am so thankful she was there to help us both experience success. After the birth, Tia also encapsulated my placenta and delivered them to my home during our postpartum visit. I’m so happy I made the decision to hire Tia and I highly recommend her!

When I first met Tia she explained her goal as a Doula, to help my husband look like a rockstar when the big day arrived. That is EXACTLY what happened. From the beginning of my pregnancy I knew I wanted to have his support in the labor and delivery of our son, and he wanted to provide that for me but neither of us have gone through this experience before and were unsure of what to expect. Enter Tia: her pre birth visits to our home were a combination of education on the birthing process and pleasant conversation about us as a couple. She asked smart and thoughtful questions to gain an understanding of how best to support us. When my water broke during a routine appointment at the hospital and active labor began quickly Tia came right away. Tia gave both my partner and I encouragement through the unknown, reminded us both that the pain of labor is safe, partnered wonderfully with the hospital staff, and overall gave us both the confidence as first time parents to push to a place we couldn't have imagined. When medical complications began to arise we were armed to communicate with the hospital staff and make the right decisions for our family. I will treasure my birth story and have never felt closer to my partner.
If you are looking for a Doula to complete your labor team, look no further. Tia knows labor and delivery and your partner knows you. Together they will make the support team of your dreams!

Asking Tia to be a part of our birth was one of the best decisions we made. At 36 weeks pregnant, we decided that a doula would be a valuable addition to our birth experience. Tia went out of her way to meet with us within our timeframe to educate and prepare us for what was to come. She was always available to answer questions and checked in with us often. She helped us prepare a birth plan and once labor began, helped us stick to it while really helping my husband and I work as a team. She suggested many positions and techniques to help our labor progress and did so in a kind and nurturing way. Tia has a confident, calming presence and provided invaluable, unwavering support to my husband and I. We are so thankful that Tia was there to help our little family come together and we will never forget what she did for us. I would happily recommend Tia to anyone.

I had a c-section for my first birth and when I was pregnant with my second I was determined to attempt a VBAC. When we found Tia, we knew she would be the perfect person to help educate us and assist us in making the best decisions when it came to our birth. She was knowledgable, kind, and compassionate from the start of our experience with her. She really helped me process my first birth so that I was prepared for our second. I had a quick labor that ended in a successful VBAC to a healthy girl and I believe we owe a lot of it to Tia.
Tia will be a great addition to your birth experience and I could not recommend her enough!

Tia is the epitome of what a doula is meant to be. She has such a warm and calm spirit, she is patient and understanding, incredibly knowledgeable, perfectly supportive without being overbearing or judgemental, genuine, strong and hard working. It was the best decision we made to hire her for the pregnancy and birth of our 4th child, which was by far the best pregnancy and birth experience of all of my children. I learned SO much from her that I didn't know, even after already having 3 children before! She helped me to understand how my body works during pregnancy and birth and what to do to get my baby in a better position. Because of her, I got to experience the breast crawl with my baby; an amazing experience I will forever treasure!
I can't imagine anyone being better at the role of doula than Tia Parr....she is worth her weight in gold!

Tia is beyond amazing.
i Wasn’t sure a doula was right for me. Actually I didn’t even look into getting one until I was 34 weeks pregnant! But as a first time mom, I was scared. about 4 of my close friends were pregnant with me and all had their babies before I did... and they were ALL c-sections. (C-section mommas you are some strong, fierce women). However I felt if I could be educacted then maybe i could avoid a c-section. And then the good Lord put Tia Parr in my path. She is an amazing educator, encourager and listener. She understood my fears and helped put them to rest. She saw my strengths and continually spoke life into them, and she listened. She became my friend. The night I went into labor she Was my first call and she talked me through everything. She was at my house soon after, and helped me labor through at home through the beginning stages of active labor. Then we left for the hospital. It’s nerve racking going in to have Your first baby. You have no clue what to expect... but in the midst of the chaos and all my fears Tia kept me level, explaining what my body and my baby was doing and why! As we got checked in and settled she showed my husband how he could help... she showed him where and how to rub my back, how to slow dance with me to help with my contractions- what a bonding experience she created for me and my husband, I will always remember and be grateful for! She coached us both every step of the way and the birth of my son was the best experience of my life. I can honestly say I enjoyed EVERY single bit of my labor and delivery and I truly believe the Lord gave me Tia so that I would be calm and educated and empowere. If you are looking for a doula, I promise you will not regret using Tia. She is hands down the best and our family is forever grateful for her and her service! We love you Tia ??
