I can't begin to describe how fortunate we are that Lindsey was our hypnobirthing instructor and birth doula and we can't recommend her enough! Of all the decisions I made, choosing my birth team was by far the most important, and Lindsey was our MVP.

First of all, I want to start by recommending her hypnobirthing course. She gave us tools to help prepare physically and mentally for all stages of pregnancy and birth. Hypnobirthing isn't just a tool for the big day, I also found it so useful during my pregnancy and in postpartum to help me stay present, cope with challenges, and make the best decisions for our family.

We had some challenges leading up to birth, and Lindsey was always there to listen and support. When I was at my most vulnerable I spoke to her on the phone and the second we hung up I felt a huge weight was lifted. Lindsey is empathetic, reassuring, calming, and extremely knowledgeable and resourceful. She will always go the extra mile to make sure you have all the most up to date information you can obtain and will provide the space for you to make your own decisions without judgement.

On my baby's birth day I was able to labor at home for about 15h and progressed rapidly. The hypnobirthing recordings, the breath work, and all the ongoing support Lindsey provided helped me get to 8cm and close to fully effaced before arriving at the hospital. It was a bit of a rollercoaster ride afterwards due to other factors and our baby was born about 25h later. Thanks to my amazing team (who also all believe Lindsey is the best there is), I was able to have an assisted vaginal birth with forceps instead of a cesarean. While it wasn't what we had imagined, whenever we had to make decisions throughout the birth, Lindsey again gave us the space and support we needed which allowed us to feel empowered in our choices. I feel so proud of what we accomplished together. We are so grateful we chose Lindsey to be our doula!

I worked with Lindsey's sister after the birth - I hired Janna Woodson as my Post Partum doula (a la carte option –which was perfect : about 3 to 5 hours 4 times a week when I needed). I cannot thank her enough for assisting me during this very special time of bringing a newborn home and recovering from the birth as a first time mother!

My husband went back to work almost immediately and with no family member around, I was left home alone to care for my first baby and 2 small dogs. Janna was able to teach me tips (and I needed care for a baby 101 as I had never been even close to caring for a newborn or baby before!) With her guidance, I was able to practice under her expert yet non-judgmental eye, I quickly gained confidence, I was able to ask all the questions and share anything and everything that was going on as my body healed.

Having Janna around also gave me time to do things for ME like take a long shower, sitz bath, rest, nap, write/send birth announcements! And while she gave me some free time, almost like a fairy, Janna magically did laundry, put the dishes away, watered the plants, walked the dogs…  She really did all that she could in order to make my life easier! It was such a gift to have her around as she enabled me to confidently enjoy being with my baby without feeling overwhelmed by chores to be done as I was a bit slower than before till I recovered.

Janna genuinely cared about my baby girl as well as my wellbeing and I will miss her ; but little Princess Maia and I will never forget what she did for us!

If you are a mom to be, trust me, you want Janna in your life!

Working with Lindsey was a wonderful experience - I took the hypnobirthing class virtually and really appreciated the safe space Lindsey was able to hold for the 4 couples in the class - We did learn and practice "in class" ; the information and support received in and in between classes certainly enabled me to realize my vision of a peaceful unmedicated birth! I also hired Lindsey to be my Doula and truly grateful she guided me towards selecting a provider who would align with my birth wishes. On the day of however Lindsey was already at another birth*, I was able to remain calm, I used the tools given for laboring at home including the TENS unit which was a life saver! after laboring at home long enough we went to the hospital were we met Lindsey's back-up Doula which was as genuinely caring as Lindsey and made me feel like HER client and led me to a successful water birth in a hospital setting! all my wishes became reality and I cannot thank enough the both of them for that!

Merci Beaucoup!!! - not ready for number 2 quite yet but when the times come I will certainly rehire Lindsey!

*I believe that only happened to Lindsey once before in her career! yet she is always ready for a just in case which I benefited from!

Lindsey is phenomenal. Very professional, caring, and super knowledgable about Hynobirthing. She has changed the way both my husband and I view pregnancy and birthing. Thanks to her we've been able to source different materials (that are very hard to find) to help with my natural homebirth. Thank you Lindsey for your dedication to this work, and having the patience to walk us through all kinds of birth stories.

I highly recommend taking Lindsey's hypnobirthing class! She is attentive to each mama (and support person /partner), very clear and articulate with the material, and adds her own experiences/guest speakers!

My husband and I took the class on zoom (due to the pandemic) this fall. We learned how to advocate in a hospital setting for a drug and intervention free birth and were able to successfully do just that! I definitely attribute my positive birth experience in part to Lindsey!

We read the hypnobirthing book prior to taking the course and felt like the course had so much more added value from Lindsey. She shared (with permission) her experiences as a doula, brought in guest speakers, and lead pracice breathing and calming techniques (which I still use in my postpartum life to relax).

We're so glad Linsey was recommended to us and will defintiely be recommending her to friends!

I hired Lindsey to be my doula having worked alongside her in the past and seeing how beautifully she supports people in labor and works seamlessly with the whole team.  Through prenatal meetings and taking her hypnobirthing class, she really got to know us prior to our son's actual birth.  During prenatals (and also during labor) she asked the right mix of open and specific questions, and pointed things out to help us clarify our thoughts and feelings.  It was a full house at my son's birth, and Lindsey was the most familiar with our hopes, fears, and the coping techniques I'd been using to prepare.  It was her hand I wanted to hold at some pretty crucial times.  Her presence was so grounding to me and I remember feeling SO much calmer when I heard she had arrived downstairs.  Lindsey was impressively attentive, sensitive to my needs and to the environment in the room. As mentioned, we took her hypnobirthing class, too, and I relied heavily on those techniques during labor as well as the TENS unit Lindsey lent me and helped set up.  Can't say enough positive.  We love Lindsey!

My husband and I took Lindsay’s 5 week hypnobirthing class in preparation for the birth of our first child. We wanted to have a natural unmedicated birth. We learned so much in Lindsay’s class! She provides so much supplemental materials in addition to the classes that you will be well prepared for birth and informed so you can make the best decisions for you and your baby.

Lindsay has such a warm, calming presence and we just loved her as our teacher that we also had her as our doula! Without her we wouldn’t have had the confidence to leave our obgyn/midwife practice.

We didn’t end up having the natural homebirth we envisioned due to complications with our pregnancy but Lindsay was still by our side coaching and supporting us all the way. We honestly could not have done it without her.

We highly recommend her hypnobirthing class and her Doula services.

I cannot imagine our birthing experience without Lindsey Vick. We were lucky enough to have Lindsey recommended to us by a friend who use to be a doula in the area. I am a yogini and have been working for several years on leading a mindful life. I wanted a natural, intervention-free (if possible!) birth. It was important to us to have a doula who supported and worked well with us and these ideas. We interviewed Lindsey and one other doula but knew, almost immediately, that we wanted Lindsey. She was (and is!) warm, knolwedgeable, and has a great capacity to hold space for others.

In addition to being a doula, Lindsey is a Hypnobirthing teacher and we were able to join her class. From these classes we gained valuable information on the birthing process, how to prepare our minds, bodies, and spirits for the birth of our baby AND felt empowered to ask questions of our medical providers and say "no" or "not right now" when needed. I have friends who share birthing stories in which it sounds like they were bullied by their providers. That was never our case, in large part thanks to Lindsey, and I have only the best memories of my birthing experience.

One anecdote to hopefully convey the giving and healing spirit of Lindsey - The second night home from the hospital my husband collapsed and was taken to the emergency room in an ambulance. I was told to stay home with the baby by the EMTs. It was 3 in the morning and I called Lindsey. Her phone was on the fritz and she wasn't able to answer my call but she called me back immediately. Upon hearing what happened she came over and stayed with me and the baby (calming both of us) until my husband was home. I don't know what I would've done without her.

If you're looking for a doula who is compassionate and passionate about mindful, beautiful births at least interview Lindsey. Even if you decided to go with someone else your time won't be wasted getting to know this wonderful person.

Lindsey Vick was great. She is very knowledgeable about Hypnobirthing. She spoke about each subject very well and very passionately. She believes in the practice and encourages pregnant families to believe in themselves so that they can have a safe and comfortable birth. She was lengthy and informative and provided so many examples. She uses her past clients for anecdotals and reassured pregnant families when you are consistent with the breathing techniques, it will work!

She was always reassuring and my husband and I appreciated her truthfulness and her passion about hypnobirthing. I would recommend her to anyone!

My husband and I could not speak more highly of Lindsey. We attended her HypnoBirth classes and used her as our doula. She was absolutely phenomenal in both capacities. She has an incredible amount of knowledge on the birth process and shares it in a way that never seems pushy. Whatever birth you wish to have- medicated, unmedicated, at home or in the hospital, Lindsey always makes it about you. As first time parents, we would have been lost without her. She was an instrumental part of welcoming our son into the world and we are so thankful to have had her.

I found Lindsey through a google search and took her hypnobirthing class. We got to know her well so we hired her as our doula. For our doula I wanted someone that felt like a friend that I could be honest and direct with. Someone gentle and kind but without sugarcoating anything. That's exactly how Lindsey was! She was great about keeping in touch during my pregnancy. I liked that I could text her with questions. I even texted her photos of what I thought was my bloody show or leaking fluid. She would respond right away and give me advice. When I was laboring at home, she was great about suggesting comfortable positions, getting things for me, and also leaving me alone if I was in too much pain to talk. I liked that she talked to my husband a lot and gave him the support that he needed. Also, she straightened up my bedroom! It was nice coming home to a clean room. She was great at the hospital. Sometimes a nurse would ask me a confusing question and I'd look over at Lindsey and she would put into layman's terms what they were asking so that I could make a more informed decision. She'd give me her opinion, but wouldn't try to sway me one way or the other. I liked having her there to tell me how she has seen things done at other births/hospitals. I had a pretty straightforward vaginal birth: no epidural, no Pitocin, no interventions. I did a LOT of pushing, which Lindsey was a big help with. There were times when I didn't think I could go on, but my husband and Lindsey helped me through. As we got closer to the baby crowning, my husband held my left leg and Lindsey had my right leg. After birth, she explained what was happening, tests, etc. She literally fed me a protein bar while I relaxed. I honestly don't think I could have had an unmedicated birth without the help of Lindsey and hypnobirthing. At first my husband objected to spending money for a doula, but in the end he was glad we did. She helped me have a really positive birth experience.
