Erin was such a major help to our family. Our twins came 5 weeks early and Erin was on standby to be there for an overnight shift the day we brought them home from the hospital. We felt so comfortable going off the sleep that night and leaving the boys in her hands. She did everything for us, fed and changed the twins all night, tidied our house, organized bottles and baby gear, did laundry, provided me with emotional support and ultimately did a lot of really helpful education as well. She even provided referrals to other reputable resources like a dentist to assess for oral ties and a chiropractor for me and the babies. Was so sad when Erin had to move on to other commitments when our contract was up but she recommended another postpartum doula who had been with our family ever since and is an absolute perfect fit. We would not have gotten through the first 6 weeks with newborn twins without Erin.

As our Doula, Erin Moyen was an invaluable wellspring of knowledge and support throughout my birth and postpartum journey. She provided resources and guidance about several questions I had during my pregnancy and prompted me to compile my birth and postpartum wishes. During my labor and birth, Erin was a steadfast presence, encouraging me and my partner throughout the experience. She helped advocate for our birth wishes during birth, often acting as the “invisible hand”, making sure things were happening according to our wishes without us having to worry about it.

Lucky for us, we booked Erin’s support for birth and postpartum. During postpartum, Erin came to our home and helped with light household chores, held baby so we could rest, and answered questions about baby- and self-care. She even taught us how to swaddle and wrap the baby carrier! I loved our visits because Erin is so knowledgeable, compassionate and reassuring. Erin also made herself available for support via text message which was like a lifeline in those early postpartum weeks, answering questions and offering words of encouragement. Every step of the way, Erin helped instill confidence in us as new parents. I’m so grateful we chose Erin to support us becoming parents for the first time and highly recommend her services.

Having Erin's support over the first 6 weeks postpartum was truly wonderful and I am SO thankful for her! Erin brought a calm presence to our home whenever she was around (which really says a lot because with 3 children & 2 pets, things tend to get chaotic quickly!). She offered support and advice, took care of my older children so I could have bonding time with my baby or so I could sleep and shower. We had such an amazing experience with her and having her support made such a difference in adjusting to life with three kids. We are forever grateful for everything she did for us!

Erin was our birth and postpartum doula for the birth our twins. Having newborn twins can be exhausting and overwhelming, but with Erin's postpartum support we had a very positive transition into twin parenthood. She was a wonderful resource on a wide range of topics -- always providing thoughtful, evidence-based suggestions. And we were instantly in awe of her ability to calm, comfort and care for our boys with ease. We learned so much from her. I would not hesitate to recommend Erin!

Erin was our birth and postpartum doula for my daughters birth in January. We were lucky enough to have her attend the hospital birth despite Covid restrictions, and we are so thankful we had her. Her knowledge and coaching before and during labour and delivery helped empower my husband and I throughout the process. Having her as a resource postpartum was invaluable. We had difficulties feeding in the early days and she was available on short notice to calm me down and provide expertise and reassurance. She helped identify a tongue tie which we were then able to rectify. I really appreciated her evidence based approach - she always volunteered data or sources to back up her recommendations and suggestions. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Erin for doula services.

Erin was instrumental in our labour and birth story being one we continue to reflect upon with a grateful and happy heart. Having decided to get a Doula once we learned of an induced and potentially more complex L&D, as soon as we met Erin with her positive energy, grounded attitude and confidence we knew we wanted her to be apart of our birth experience as first-time parents.

Her professional, well-informed, confident yet comforting approach for both our prenatal care as well as during labour and delivery helped ensure my husband and I felt as confident and comfortable as possible. Erin always had open, clear and effective communication. She listened to our wishes and concerns, provided guidance and was readily available to answer questions and provide resources. .

Erin was aware of our birth plan and was not only encouraging throughout the whole labour but also helped be an advocate for me by helping navigate what was happening, asking me questions regarding my care which became even more critical as we had a less experineced nurse. This allowed for me to then ensure I was aware and having the level of control I wanted to have while in labour. She was amazing in reminding me/ being a touchstone and support for our birthplan and goals and helping guide my husband so he could be the best and most effective support partner for me.

We called Erin our quarterback and truly feel that our L&D experience would not have gone as well as it did had she not been there to provide her expertise and experience. Erin's approach and subtle confidence with prenatal, L&D and postnatal care was reassuring. Her extremely approachable attitude and positive and grounded energy helped to ensure we all felt empowered through the whole expereince of bringing our baby into this world!

We couldn't recommend Erin enough and even months later, continue to feel so grateful for the experience she gave us as our Doula.

My husband and I first met Erin as attendants in a Chavah childbirth class she led. We were immediately drawn to her warm and welcoming personality. She answered our questions with evidence-based clarity and as first-time parents-to-be we felt honoured on our journey. As our postpartum doula, Erin went the extra mile to check in leading up to labour and delivery by visiting in person and keeping in touch over the phone. Once our son was born, she worked with us to schedule visits when it would be most helpful around the holidays. Her genuine care in those early days brought me tremendous encouragement as a new mama. She listened carefully, responded thoughtfully, and supported us as a family wholeheartedly. Her knowledgeable expertise and natural giftings are evident in her services as an educator, doula, and specialist. We have been blessed by her presence in our home and in our growing family's story. We highly recommend her services to other mamas and families.

Erin provided postpartum support to our family for several months after the birth of our second child. She is incredibly knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. Her lovely calm presence which was very much appreciated within our busy household during that time. Erin is reliable and organized in the services that she provides. She was also very flexible when things came up for our family. Erin has a special ability to identify the type of support needed, depending upon the day. She was an enormouse help in providing care to our infant as well as to our older daughter. She built a special connection with our daughter which really helped ease some of the challenges with the transition. Erin also frequently helped with other household tasks such as walking the dogs, helping with laundry and dishes which took a lot off of our plates. Erin also provided overnight support for us on several occasions. This was an enormous help as it allowed for my husband and I to both have longer and better quality sleep.

Erin is also a wealth of information in terms of breastfeeding, infant feeding, sleep and growth patterns, etc. She is very skilled at gently sharing her knowlege when asked and is incredibly respectful and objective in her approach. Erin's support allowed myself and my husband to both increase our level of wellness, to enjoy time with one another as well as time with our daugther. It allowed me to have some much needed time for self-care or to attend appointments. Our family benefited greatly from Erin's support and we would highly recommend her to anyone.

We had Erin for our birth and postpartum doula. We felt so supported and loved throughout the entire process. Erin has a calm, gentle, mothering spirit that helps you through what ever it might be that you need to go through by reminding you of the power you hold within yourself. She is very knowledgeable and teaches through evidence based education in her prenatal class. She also very much honours and works within the structure of the doula role and guides you back to your health care provider should your questions be outside the doula realm, which I loved. My husband felt as supported as I and knew he could reach out and trust Erin should he need to lean on her for anything. I knew I was in good hands during my birth process and could wholly lean into my labour knowing she had my back and things were taken care of. She knew my birth preferences and helped me stand in my power to uphold them as far as was practical and safe and she works so well with the midwives we had. She gently nudged me back to my mothers intuition and affirmed me in it when I would begin to question myself. She was there from the second I needed her until I no longer did. I cannot wait to have her support again in the future.

We had an amazing experience with Erin.  We met with her for several visits prior to the birth of our son and she attended our 22 hour natural labor and birth.  We absolutely couldn't have had a more successful and memorable experience without her.  She was knowledgeable, professional, kind, caring and exactly the support we needed.  I don't think we could have had the same positive labor and birthing experience without the expertise she provided.  She also gave us excellent post-partum breastfeeding support.  She was easy to talk to, compassionate and I can't imagine having gone through the experience without her by our side.  I would recommend her to anyone looking for a positive birth experience.

My husband and I met with Erin over 6 years ago when looking to hire a doula for our first child and knew right away that we wanted her at the birth of our first born. Unfortunatly my first birth experience ended in a c-section. 6 years later and pregnant with our second child, we contacted Erin right away to see if she was available and lucky for us, she was!

Erin was the caring, nurturing and strong support person that we needed during the second time around, especially when trying for a VBAC. She is very informed and knew all the answers to my questions and supported all of my decisions. Erin is very comforting and just what I needed during my labour and delivery. When I felt like giving up, Erin's strength and encouragement helped me stay focus during the second stage of my labour. Without her, my VBAC would be non-existent or just not as beautiful as it was. This birth experience was what I had hoped and planned for and in the end we made it happen with the help of our Doula, Erin. Thank you Erin for everything!

What a blessing it was to have Erin there for us during our pregnancy, labour and delivery. Erin was able to answer all of our questions and give us the tools we needed to make informed decisions regarding the birth of our daughter. Erin spoke words of encouragement during my labour process and with her help I was able to have the birth that I wished to have. She helped us have a great start to parenthood and for that we are truly thankful.

I honestly don't have enough words to convey how amazing it was to have Erin apart of the pregnancy and birth of our baby.

Erin's calm and supportive presence was exactly what myself and husband needed during our last birth. She's a great listener and provides you with great information when needed. She doesn't only focus on the pregnant mama and husband but also the siblings, and that was awesome. As it made my two older boys feel that much more involved.

Thank you for being there for Stef and I.

We were so blessed to have Erin attending us with our first child. My pregnancy seemed to be going well but there were many concerns that lead to 5 rounds of induction, 4 resulted in labor, none resulted in a baby. This was such a hard time for our family; but for every hurdle we had Erin's comfort and support. Her experience, and knowledge were a huge asset but it was her strength and kindness that were the greatest gift. We did ultimately decide to stop induction and try a more natural approach to initiating labour. Erin helped us weigh our pros and cons and supported our decision without question. It took a week for labor to begin, and progress over 3 days until delivery. Once again not quite the way we expected things to go, we did make it through with out pain medication, our little one was is an extremely odd position which required assistance to get him moving. Once again we deviated from our birth plan. In the end I had a broken tailbone, a beautiful baby boy and even though it didn't go as "planned", Erin had always been there to rsmi d us of what was important, "Happy, Healthy Baby and Mommy". Now when I tell my story and see people cringe and say I would be crazy to think of doing this again, I can smile and say that it wasn't that bad because I had my happy ending! I have Erin to thank for this; she always kept us positive and focused!

After having a terrible experience with labor and delivery with my first child in 2006, I decided to get a doula for my second labor and delivery experience in 2008. I found Erin Moyen on the Calgary Doulas webpage and hired her for my labor and delivery and a few days of my postpardum experience. What I really liked about Erin is that she told me what my rights were with each routine procedure that I encountered in the hospital during the end of my labor experience and this empowered me to speak up for myself so that I did not feel at the mercy and control of hospital staff hooking me up to monitors and IVs. This was VERY important to me. She was also a calm presence in the room for my husband, who was very nervous. I was able to deliver my second child with the use of just laughing gas, thanks to her excellent knowledge of pressure points on the lower back. That was amazing! I would do that again!!! The experience of labor and delivery with my first child verses my second child were like night and day, because of the presence of an educated and calm birth coach. I wish I had had Erin with me with the experience of labor and delivering my first child and I would NEVER birth another child without someone like her with me again. After the birth of my second child, Erin became my friend and I'm very BLESSED that I get to have her in the delivery room again!

My husband and I hired Erin as our birth doula for the birth of our second child. After our first meeting with her, we knew she was the perfect fit for our family. Her warm and open personality inspires confidence; my planned birth was a VBAC and she was 100% supportive of this goal. She provided valuable information that helped me decide on an OB, she lent me books on natural childbirth and she emailed various links to me, all tailored to my specific situation.

When I was admitted to the hospital for a placental abruption, I didn't know who to call as my husband was working out of town at the time. Erin dropped everything (even though she wasn't on call!) and she stayed with me until my husband could get there. She helped to keep me calm and informed when my mind was all over the place.

I was put on bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy and Erin was so helpful finding information regarding VBACs after an abruption. Because of her support and encouragement, I had the confidence to go into labour naturally and in my own time. All went well and she was by my side as we welcomed our little son earthside! She helped with the initial breastfeeding after the birth, she took pictures and she made sure we were settled before she left us.

Erin has a wealth of knowledge and would definitely be an asset at any birth. We feel like she's more than a doula, she's a part of our family's story. My husband was a little unconvinced about doulas in general, but now he tells all his friends who are expecting children to get a doula! We have nothing but good things to say about our time with Erin.

My husband and I attended prenatal classes with Erin in 2013 and it was a wonderful experience. We felt prepared and empowered for the birth of our child. Her approach was to present all of the information in a well organized, complete and unbiased manner. We felt she encouraged us to be informed about our choices and be confident in our abilities to really enjoy our birth experience, which we did very much.

Erin also provided post-partum doula support in our home. I looked forward to her visits and she provided great support in those early weeks. She provided us with meals, baby care tips and general support. I felt she had an instant bond with our baby that added to my joy at a very happy time.

Over the past 16 months since our child's birth, Erin has been an ongoing support to me through our community's Breastfeeding Circle and we have developed a friendship that I really value. She has told me that her professional goal is to provide 'continuity of care' and she has achieved that fully for our family. Her caring and supportive nature make her perfectly suited to her profession of choice. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for quality prenatal and postpartum support.

Erin Peters was hired as our doula for the birth of our first child. From the first meeting, Erin was a delight to be with. She was and is such a knowledgable person and very resourceful. She made both myself and my partner feel very comfortable with the whole birthing process and was able to answer any and all questions we had. My birth played out just as we had hoped and without Erin, it wouldnt have been possible. Erin gives you the ability to make the best possible decisions for you and your birth and is 100% on board with your decisions and well being. Just over a year later, I will soon go into labor with my second child and Erin is also my doula for this special birth as well. I am so glad that she has been apart of such a wonderful part of our familys story. I highly reccommend Erin as a doula, lactation consulatant and educator.

I had met Erin many years ago when she was my doula for the birth of my child. We reviewed my birthing plan, and she gave me valuable advice prior to the birth and afterwards. In the delivery room, she was knowledgable and soothing, she knows when to encourage ("Listen to your body,") and when to wait. Erin guided me during the delivery, explaining things when the nurse couldn't, and spoke up for me when I didn’t know what was happening.  Her calming presence and experience spoke of her character, and reflected her top priority: her clients.

I also had the opportunity to enjoy the spa services Erin provides and had the best facial ever!  Previously, I hadn't experienced a facial, and was pleasantly surprised during and after the process.  One friend stated that I had glowed afterwards.

Erin is organized, efficient, extremely competent, and has an excellent rapport with her clients. Her communication skills, both written and verbal, are excellent.  I would highly recommend Erin to anyone looking for any of the services she provides.

I hired Erin to be my doula for the birth of my son in the summer of 2014. She was an amazing addition to my small birth team. I was planning a VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarian) and many medical professionals were making me doubt this decision. However, Erin believed in my body’s ability to have a vaginal birth. She shared current research studies with me and let me talk through my fears. Our meetings throughout my pregnancy gave me confidence about having a wonderful birth experience this time, and on August 8th 2014, with Erin present, I did. I had an amazing, fast, natural birth and I was so thankful to have someone present who made me feel so sure of my body’s natural ability. I will always be grateful to Erin for being such an important part of such an important day in my life.
