Post a testimonial for Maggie Sharar

I am so glad that we chose Maggie Sharar to be the Doula for the homebirth of our first child (February, 2013)! She was a great support during my labor and birth, providing so much compassion, encouragement, and positivity. She made sure I was well hydrated throughout my labor and that I wasn’t hungry. She and my Husband worked as an amazing team tending to my needs and making sure I was as comfortable as possible. She also helped with position changes and gave us space when needed. Maggie’s reassurance at transition gave me the confidence to tap into my deepest strength. We had Maggie encapsulate my placenta and she also dehydrated the umbilical cord for us to keep, which was very special. I’m so grateful for everything Maggie did to help make my homebirth a success and for the care she provided at our postpartum visits! We planned to have Maggie as the Doula for our second homebirth; however, she was unable due to just having her second child about two months prior to my due date. I would highly recommend her to any pregnant woman! Sincerely,
Jessica Castro

Maggie was amazing in her support not only for me but my husband as well. We had zero family around and a pretty much nonexistent support system around us. She helped guide us on our quest for knowledge of our pregnancy and birth, and still remains a close friend two and a half years later. She made so many house visits and helped with massages and labor position ideas well before our birth. When I was showing no signs of labor a 41w5d, she helped put me in a birthing space and set good intentions with me. I went into labor that night! She was my rock through my birth at the birth center, and stayed all 36 hours of it. She took amazing pictures simultaneously and I'm still not sure how she did that! ?? she also encapsulated my placenta. She's awesome! Hire her for her amazing energy, holistic approach, gentle nurturing, and strength. I love Maggie!

Maggie was an amazing doula for my family. She was warm and friendly, made an extra effort to get to know us and our birth plans and personalities. She did a wonderful maternity photo shoot for us. In labor she was supportive, knowledgeable, patient, excited and helpful. She was a pleasure to have at our birth and pre and post partum care. I am so grateful that she shared our birth experience and that we became friends in the process. I would not hesitate to recommend her!
