Laurie was amazing.  We cant say enough good things about her and the care she provided to us when we welcomed our third child.  Laurie was extremely punctual and always arrived in a peaceful way.  She was always so willing to listen and offer support and advice.  Laurie always made us feel comfortable, confident and supported in the decisions we were making with our kid.  We would give her the rundown of how the baby was doing and then she would ask what we wanted for the night and there were NEVER any hiccups in how the nights went.  Laurie started with us when our baby was a week old.  She would care for him at night and would come wake me to breastfeed and then take the baby to burp and swaddle and hold or rock back to sleep.  I would go back to my room to sleep peacefully!  I cant recommend Laurie enough.  Her attention to the needs of your child will blow you away and her peaceful and calm demeanor will be a welcome energy in your home.  We adore her and wish we still got to see her.  Laurie nights were my favorite...I got to sleep better but I also got to see her and speak to her and have the camaraderie of someone with me at night.  If youre on the fence about a doula, DO IT!!!  It’s life changing.

As first time parents, we had no idea what to expect or what we were doing when we brought home our baby. Laurie's calming presence and extensive knowledge about newborns was exactly what we needed. Besides the help with our baby, she helped me (the mother) so much. I had a c section and was in a ton of pain when we got home from the hospital. Laurie would bring me the baby for feeds, helped me stand up and sit down, and brought me snacks or other things that were too painful to reach. I'm pretty sure Laurie witnessed me cry more than once in the first few weeks, that's how comfortable we felt with her! We can't recommend her highly enough.

Laurie was a wonderful resource to our family during this special, important, and exhausting time. She brought a calming and positive spirit which our baby really responded to, and she offered me the affirmation and validation I needed as a first time mom. She also provided some fantastic advice, resources and tips. I'm so grateful! I can't say enough good things about Laurie. Highly recommended and greatly appreciated!

We hired Laurie as a postpartum doula to help after our second baby, and oh how we wish we knew about her when we had our first! Laurie set us up for success with excellent pumping tips, feeding tips, sleeping tips, AND self-care strategies for mom and dad. We were so much better rested and happier the second time around with Laurie. She was clearly knowledgeable and experienced but also one of those people who are always learning more about their field. Our baby was premature and needed a little longer to grow before she could breastfeed on her own. She helped us as our baby transitioned from formula to breastmilk and her suckle became stronger.

I think Laurie's personality was made for this work. She was upbeat, caring, and calm. When Laurie walked into the room it felt like we all got a warm hug and a sigh of relief at the same time.

Laurie was a life saver for us. She is caring and sweet. She was able to provide restful nights and we were able to sleep deeply knowing our baby was in the best hands! She is extremely knowledgeable, she had an answer and helpful, non judgmental advice for every mom/baby question I had going from breastfeeding, sleep, bottles, pumping.. she even had some great ideas to help with my toddler!
The whole family loves her and we only wish we would've known her when we had our first! Our baby is awesome at sleeping and we know it was all her!

Laurie was an absolute Godsend for our family. Our little guy was struggling with silent reflux, and couldn't really sleep unless he was being held... all through the night. Within a week of Laurie working with him he was stringing together some independent sleep, and has been getting better each week. Laurie would always arrive early and chat with us about how our son was doing, and she always had a new helpful suggestion or tool that we could try, and many of those tips and tricks are the reason he is sleeping better and happier overall. She was so caring, nurturing, and supportive during a difficult period for us, and we would highly recommend her to any family looking for some nighttime help and guidance. I always felt so relieved on the nights she was coming because I knew I would get some sleep, and more importantly my son would be well cared for.

Laurie was amazing!  She was so in tune with our son and his newborn needs, along with mine as a new momma.  I can't imagine the first few months without her support.

Working with Laurie Ufer was the single best decision we made for postpartum care for our baby - and ourselves. Laurie provided us with comfort and confidence in our parenting abilities. She gave us terrific advice and support but never made us feel self-conscious about being new parents. Equally important, we knew from the moment we got home from the hospital - with Laurie there to meet us at our house! - that our baby felt safe and happy in Laurie's arms.

Laurie provided invaluable help and support for me and my baby in the first two months of my baby's life. She arrived the first night I came home from the hospital and then came for every week for a few nights. She helped show me the correct way to breastfeed and how to get the right latch. She also answered all of my countless questions about everything from sleep training to pumping and storage to swaddling - both when she was at our house and also by text during the day. I really appreciated that she made herself available during her off hours because, like many new moms, I was anxious and always had questions throughout the day.  She even gave me an awesome velcro swaddle that worked wonders! She also goes out of her way to be unobtrusive in your household and would sit in the dark with my baby as she thought that was best for the baby.

Laurie has such a gentle, warm demeanor and it's clear that she loves babies and loves her job. We miss having her help and support and I strongly recommend her to anyone!

Laurie has a wealth of knowledge and experience, for every problem we faced with our son or every question we bombarded her with (and there were many many questions) she listened carefully and had multiple suggestions not a one size fits all 'solution'. Whether it was the first or the tenth thing we tried that worked for him, she was always there for us, if not in person then on the phone or email.
She has a magic touch, every time she was holding our little one he would calm down and soon after he'd either be happily playing or falling asleep if he was tired.
Months later she still continues to check in and offers her help for any issues we're currently facing.

She was amazing for us and our son and would wholeheartedly recommend her.

Laurie was a blessing to our family. Calm, knowledgable and providing judgment-free assistance, I felt much safer as a mother, especially for the main challenges of motherhood such as breastfeeding, sleeping, bathing, etc. Our daughter was very lucky to have had help from such a sweet doula!

We trust her 100% as a post-partum doula!

Laurie helped me a great deal after my C-Section.  She was very helpful with my son in showing me how to have him nap every 2 hours, how to breastfeed, and countless other questions, etc.  While my son was napping, she took care of me and many things around the house that needed attention.

Having your first baby is joyful but very frightening because you have no idea what you are doing so having an experienced doula along your side is incredibly helpful and necessary.  Laurie also kept in touch and stopped by to see my son and me every few months.

Words cannot express how amazing Laurie was for our family. As a first time Mom who had little experience with infants, Laurie was a calming force who gave me confidence in my abilities as a mother. Her vast amount of experience, knowledge and her willingness to share were extremely valuable resources to our family. Laurie started our family off in the right direction, and provided us with guidance that we use on a daily basis. I would recommend Laurie to anyone who is interested in doula care, as she is the best!

Laurie is a fantastic doula. I have had the pleasure of having her as my doula for both of my two children, and each experience was an absolute joy. Laurie is incredibly warm and encouraging. She always helped me to feel calm and confident with both of my babies. She is also extremely knowledgeable, and is excellent at offering advice while still enabling you to feel you like you are the parent. I can not recommend her more strongly.

It is impossible for me not to smile, when I think of Laurie! She is an outstanding doula. When I look back on the months after our daughter was born, it was Laurie that really helped me find my way through difficulty with breastfeeding, sleep deprivation and finding my feet as a new mother.  She is one of those people who is able to teach without being condescending, in spite of being extremely knowledgable. I have so many happy memories that have their source in her support and caring.   She had my complete and total confidence in taking care of our baby, and it gave me such peace of mind to know that I could really rely on her.  Laurie is an extremely skillful, kind and helpful doula, and she will always have my respect and gratitude.  Book her way in advance, because I know she is in demand!
