Joanna’s kindness, intentionality, care and ability to connect with me, my partner and our child was instrumental in the weeks following the birth of Loretta Jo.  Her calming demeanor and active listening skills made it easy to talk through both the excited happy feelings, as well as the complicated frustrated feelings I was experiencing as a new mother.  The transition into motherhood can bring a range of emotions and feelings, and I am forever grateful for Joanna’s ability to listen, validate, share knowlege, and give me the confidence to continue mothering intuitively. Whether she was holding Loretta so I had use of both my arms and opportunities to rest or shower, preparing nutritious meals for our family, singing to the baby to calm her, listening and chatting with me or my partner about our new life, making sure there were no dirty dishes in the sink, or  a slew of other thoughtful actions, Joanna provided the support our family needed at such a vulnerable time.  A real earth angel.

Joanna was a godsend during a particularly challenging postpartum period! I was struggling with breastfeeding issues, overwhelm and sleep deprivation, and Joanna was consistently available to provide support in all the ways I needed.

I can't imagine how hard it would have been without Joanna’s assistance, and I so appreciated her warmth, attentiveness, humor and grace. She was incredibly kind and a great listener, an intuitive caretaker for our newborn, and a support to the whole family. I would recommend her 1000% for anyone seeking postpartum care.
