As a first-time dad, I didn’t really know what to expect from having a doula. I was a little unsure at first—would she be in the way? Would I still feel like I had a role in the birth? But after going through it, I can say without a doubt: having Savannah there was the best decision we made.

She had this incredible ability to be fully present and helpful without ever taking over. She was never in the way—not once. In fact, she supported both my wife and I in such a seamless, natural way that it felt like she was apart of our team from the start. She gave us the space to experience the birth together, while quietly guiding us, offering comfort, and stepping in exactly when we needed her.

She made sure my wife was as comfortable and calm as possible, and she helped me feel confident and capable in supporting her. She had this calming energy that grounded the whole experience. Honestly, everything flowed so smoothly—it couldn’t have gone any better.

After the birth, she stayed to make sure we were comfortable and continued to serve us. She even went to two separate places to get my wife and I our own dinner of choice! Looking back, I can’t imagine going through it without her. I 100% recommend Savannah to any expecting couple. As a man who stubbornly doesn't seek help for anything, I will be the first to request her when we are expecting our next child. She made a beautiful, life-changing experience even more meaningful.

If you need a doula, look no further. Savannah is amazing and so talented at what she does. My husband and I still talk about how we could not have gotten through my unmediated birth without her. She was there for anything I needed from words of encouragement, physical support, and even silent support. She was adaptable and respectful of my husband and I, but extremely responsive to when she was needed. She blessed me with her services throughout my pregnancy and afterward as well, taking care of my personal wellbeing. I cannot imagine giving birth without her!
