I called Wendy when I was expecting my second child. I had a traumatic birth with my first and was quite nervous about labor with my second. Wendy was the best. We first met during the start of my third trimester, and after our first meeting I thought, for the first time in my pregnancy, "I think I can do this." We met many more times and Wendy educated me and my partner on all sorts of things, giving us confidence for when labor did come. 

Due to a variety of factors, I needed to be induced. Wendy was in touch the whole time and came to the hospital when I was ready for her. It was a long process and my goal from the start had been to get through it with as few interventions as possible. Wendy supported me and my partner, and I made it through some really difficult stretches thanks to her gentle, consistent encouragement. Even after the birth, when I was feeling overwhelmed, Wendy picked up the phone and helped me feel seen. 

Giving birth is such a vulnerable thing, and I have found my second experience of it to be so much more humanizing and hopeful, in large part thanks to Wendy. I can't recommend her enough to be on your team, to walk with you before, during, and after the birth of your child.
