When I was about 4 months post partum I was in need of some real support as I was battling depression in addition to being in the newborn trenches. I was put in touch with Kim through Mother's Helpers and even after the first visit I felt a relief and support that I hadn't received from family and friends since my baby was born. My husband, who was originally skeptical of hiring a Doula, was so impressed with Kim that he threw his full support into having Kim come back several times a week to help us.

My baby had been born prematurely and had been in the NICU for 6 weeks so we all had a good deal of anxiety and trauma we were managing. On top of that, he had reflux and feeding issues. When Kim showed up she made space for me to talk about those challenges and my feelings, but she also used her expertise to make suggestions around feeding and activities that would help my son, suggesting extra floor time, different ways to engage him with books, pillows and how to practice sitting up. And she always encouraged me to contact my pediatrician and rely on sound medical advice when I was worried about more serious issues.

Kim worked with us during the day while we were both at home. My husband was back to work and I found I had almost no time for showers, self care or even eating. Kim was great about encouraging me to not only care for myself but also enjoy myself with my baby. I remember feeling so anxious about taking my baby for a walk for the first time in the winter and so she joined me for the walk. She researched post partum groups for me to join and suggested library visits, even offering to attend.

Overall Kim helped me become a more confident mother who also learned the value of self care to better care for my child. I still talk to Kim to this day and when we find we need extra support, Kim is the first person my husband and I would consider to help find relief and support. What a lovely thing for new parents!

We had Kim work with us as a postpartum doula for overnights during the first month and a half with our first child. Kim was with us our first night home from the hospital which made the transition SO much less scary for us... especially after recieving such conflicting information from lactation consultants at the hospital! Within the first hour of her time with us, Kim instantly made me feel reassured in the parenting decisions me and my husband were making... specifically that I was not failing at breastfeeding because we were supplementing with formula. She also reassured me that my milk supply would still come in despite the formula supplementation (something one of the hospital lactation consultants had me worried about).

The best advice Kim gave us, which is a testament to her true character, was that a mentally well mother is ultimately what is best for our baby's health. She was absolutely right, especially through my breastfeeding journey, and it was her work that allowed this to happen for us!

As a neurodivergent mother with autism, adhd and ocd I was very nervous about both having a newborn at home and having someone new come into our house during a vulnerable time. Kim was kind hearted, non-judemental, and even helped us find a breastpump, pump parts, cleaning supplies, etc... all her suggestions made me so much less overwhelmed by all the information on baby products. She helped us stay on top of our sterilizing ans cleaning of pump and bottle parts, and she cared for our daughter as if she was her own.

We cannot recommend Kim enough for anyone who is looking for support in the postpartum period!

We hired Kim as our doula for our second child for the first 3 months. We kept in touch leading up to our babies arrival and felt very comfortable leaving her in Kim's care since day 1.
Kim was always available to answer any of my questions, even when she was not working!
she is extremely attentive, noted everything throughout the night and would give her advise on anything she noticed that may benefit my baby.
She was ALWAYS on time and never had to reschedule. It's hard to find someone who you can completely rely on.
I highly recommend her!!

5 stars or 10/10 doesn't seem to be a high enough rating for our experience with Kim. We hired Kim to help with my transition back to work and she took care of our baby from 3-5months and during every stage of his every evolving infant schedule Kim was there to help. As first time parents, her advice was timely, always delivered with care and our baby loved her from the start. We were so sad our time ended with Kim but highly reccomend her for anyone who needs post partum care for their child!

As first-time parents, we were overwhelmed with the arrival of our newborn. Having Kim as our overnight doula was a game-changer. She was incredibly caring and knowledgeable, always prioritizing our son's safety. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in her capable hands. Kim patiently answered all our questions and provided invaluable guidance during those early days. We highly recommend her to anyone seeking compassionate and expert newborn care.

Kimmy provided childcare support for both of our boys from the time of birth until they started daycare full time at 12mos. She was extremely invested in not only their safety, but happiness, and well being. Kimmy is a phenomenal communicator and consistently provided detailed updates, helpful suggestions, and ideas for fun experiences. She is an expert at child safety and our children bonded with her instantly. We continue to hire Kimmy whenever we can for weekend overnights away, babysitting and daytime nannying when the kids are out of school.

Kim is a great doula who offered much needed respite for my husband and I with our 2.5 month old who wasn't sleeping well. She was very respectful of our requests and always kept safety at the forefront. She made poignant recommendations for optimizing sleep that really made a difference. She is extremely caring and professional and we would recommend her to any friends looking for postpartum care.

I highly recommend Kimmy for your babysitting/nannying/newborn care needs. I worked with Kimmy over the course of one year and was impressed and happy with Kimmy’s care for my children.

She was a newborn whisperer for my daughter starting at age 6 weeks who had difficult colic. She then cared for her and at times her 2 year old brother.

Some specific things I would highlight

Kimmy is skilled with newborns. She has deep expertise and comfort and provides reliable loving care.
Kimmy can handle multiple children at once. Mine are both quite high energy and Kimmy was able to have  y together for hours.
Kimmy is knowledgeable about early. Childhood development. She is up to date on a range of parenting styles and offers tips and advice. She disciplines effectively
Kimmy is safe. She is car seat certified, focused on safe eating, manages a safe environment and identifies childproofing gaps etc
Kimmy is caring. She will get to know your children deeply and love them and their quirks in a way that feels more like an auntie than a temporary babysitter
Kimmy is proactive and creative, thinking about new activities and locations she can bring the children too. Sensory bins, arts and crafts, indoor at home bowling… the list goes on

I hope you consider Kimmy for your childcare needs!

We both feel very fortunate to have had Kim take care of our daughter. She was our first child and we were both having a hard transition into parenthood. Kim was a grounding and kind presence and helped us to develop a lot of great habits with our daughter that have paid off in the long run. She is excellent at fostering good sleep habits and has a way with newborns and infants that we felt was beyond her peers. We would both recommend her to anyone that is dealing with the newborn transition and needs some extra help. As an added bonus, she is a treasure trove of advice on baby equipment and safety tips. Thank you, Kim!
