Tialyr has attended 2 of our births now and was such an essential part of our birth team. When our most recent home birth had to become a hospital birth early in labor, she even stayed with our kids until someone could arrive to care for them. Tialyr is so knowledgeable and passionate about birth and has such a calming and comforting presence in the birth space. She is excellent at what she does and would absolutely be an asset to your birth team!

If you want a calm, caring doula, it's Tialyr! She trusts the mom's intuition, has so much birth experience in the student midwife AND in the doula world, and will make sure your laboring needs are fully met. I'm a midwife, and have seen Tialyr at several births, always calm, and a huge comfort to her clients. Hire her!

Tialyr was such a blessing throughout my pregnancy and birth. She was so helpful in my pregnancy answering any questions/concerns I had. The prenatal appointments were also incredibly informative and helped to outline our birth plan & goals. In my labor she was so comforting and grounding for me. She made me feel confident and encouraged me more than I could have thought. She prayed for me & we listened to worship music throughout. It was a spiritual experience and she helped foster that environment like we had asked. I would HIGHLY recommend hiring Tialyr as your doula.

I am so beyond thankful I had Tialyr with me before, during and after my birth. I couldn't imagine doing it without her. First, she visited with me a couple of times to come up with a birth plan and talk through expectations, nerves, etc. She really helped my husband feel more prepared and confident for when labor started. She also threw me a nesting party which was so fun and helpful. I highly recommend adding on that service! 

My birth experience didn't go as I hoped but Tialyr made it so much better. We ended up transferring to the hospital as I was not progressing and had some other issues. She went with us and stayed the whole time (32 hours total)! She was great at giving counter pressure and made sure I was hydrated and nourished. She kept me at peace and was very encouraging. Throughout many difficult contractions I kept repeating in my head some of the affirmations she was telling me. After the birth she braided my hair for me and made sure we were all good before she left.

Tialyr also visited us a couple times in the first few weeks postpartum. She helped me process through my thoughts and emotions. She also made sure I was getting the support I needed. 

Tialyr is an amazing doula. She has so much love and passion for helping mommas!

Birth Testimonial: October 13, 2023

In less than one month, it will be a whole year since I’ve given birth to the most precious person in my life. In the months leading up to birth, I was adamant that I only wanted myself, my partner and the midwives present. No family, no friends. My sister is a doula and I didn’t even want her there, just any tips she could give me beforehand. Somebody pressured me to have her there, not only as my sister but especially as a doula and student midwife and I’m so happy I gave in!

Having her there not only comforted me beyond measure but also amazed me in the ways that she could take some of my physical pain away! She knew pressure points that eased some of my pain, did my hair and backed off when I didn’t want to be touched. My favorite part was her extremely calming, confident and gentle energy. She made me feel safe, strong, empowered and she never made me second guess my ability. I gave her my birth plan and when I was unable to explain for myself what I wanted, she was there to do it for me.

If I’m lucky enough to give birth again, I would immediately hire Tialyr as a doula, no questions asked! She was truly the most important part of my birth story; looking back, I don’t know how I could have ever done it without her! The amount of devotion and passion she puts into helping women bring life into this world is indescribable.
