I am writing this testimonial for Danusa Rosa, who has provided exceptional care
for our baby. I have had the pleasure of working alongside Danusa since August 2022 and have
consistently been impressed by her dedication, compassion, and professionalism.
Danusa has a true gift for creating a calm and supportive environment for families during one of
the most important times in their lives. Her ability to connect with both the parents and the baby
is truly remarkable, and she has a talent for anticipating the needs of all involved.
In addition to her interpersonal skills, Danusa has a wealth of knowledge about infant care and
development. She is up-to-date on the latest information and practices, and she is able to
provide families with evidence-based guidance on everything from feeding to sleep patterns. In
addition to her on-the-job experience, she also continues to take classes to improve her
knowledge base.
Danusa is an excellent communicator, and always ensures that families are fully informed and
involved in every aspect of the care she provides. She is flexible and responsive, and has
worked seamlessly with other caregivers (her backup or daytime caregivers) to ensure
that there is good communication and continuity of care. Above all, Danusa is a joy to have
around the house, especially in those early days when hormones and self-doubt run rampant.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend Danusa highly enough. She is an exceptional doula, and I
have no doubt that she will continue to make a positive impact on the families she serves.

Danusa has been the doula for both my 2 & 4 yo. This review was after being a first time mom:

Danusa was waiting outside my home after I came home from the hospital. She sent my husband and me off to get settled and refreshed. This feeling that someone who knew exactly what to do was a huge weight off our shoulders. There was no training or adjustment period, and she acclimated to us like she had been part of our family for years.

Baby & Parent Knowledge
Talking to Danusa is like instantly reading and distilling every Google result for any of our questions.  Between her learned information, years of training, and families of experience, she has seen everything.  She provides examples of how other families have approached our challenges and what the effects would be. She offers her opinion but is respectful and supportive of what our family wants.

Her experience has also given her a magical skill of identifying issues early on.  For example, she quickly saw that I was not producing enough milk and armed us with short- and long-term options. She prepared us for what to expect physically and emotionally. She also helped me work through issues like milk supply, mastitis, and general health.  She helped make continuous improvements in feeding both nursing and bottle as the baby aged.

Sleep & Schedule Training
Danusa's guidance on how to optimize day time feeds, naps and schedules helped our daughter sleep through the night by Month 3.

Above & Beyond
As the baby grew, she continued educating us on how to engage baby and reach new milestones. And as baby’s schedule became more predictable, she always filled her time by proactively anticipating our needs, serving as a de facto family assistant. Her natural instinct to provide above and beyond made her a valuable member of our family.

Danusa was our night doula years ago and she was excellent at taking care of our newborn (and therefore us, as new parents too).  She provided her expertise, love, support and encouragement which were all valuable to us, especially since our baby was a premie. She taught us so much about holding, caring, feeding, burping, swaddling, loving, changing diapers, etc. She put our minds at ease and our bodies at rest overnight so we could have energy to take care of our little one during the day.  We would not hesitate to recommend her to any new family.  We felt that our baby was in the best hands.

I simply cannot say enough good things about Danusa Rosa and the positive impact she has had on my family. Danusa helped us two years ago with our first son, helping us transition from a collicky infant to an incredible sleeper who, to this day, sleeps 12 hours a night.

We started working with Danusa when our youngest son was three weeks old. Danusa immediately addressed some critical issues upon entering our home that put us on a strong path. She clearly identified his lactose intolerance after two nights and encouraged us to transition to a lactose-free formula. That important change immediately cleared up intense gas and constipation issues he was having and made for easier feeding and better sleeping almost immediately. She also noticed small but critical issues - the room our son was in was the coldest in the house - too cold for him - so we turned up the heat; the angle of his bed needed to be raise slightly to help with some acid reflux issues; his feeding schedule needed to be altered slightly to allow him to stretch more at night while getting the critical calories he needed; and so much more.

Our son is now 14 weeks old and sleeping through the night, going down around 7:30 pm and sleeping until 7 am with one dream feed around 10:30 pm. Danusa brings an incredible attention to detail, warmth and confidence that is unmatched. Every baby is different and Danusa takes the time to understand each child in her care - their quirks, issues they’re having, how to create a better sleep environment for them at home and so on. With both of our boys we felt safe to ask obvious (and sometimes dumb) questions, and texted her when things seemed off and we needed a quick gut check.

Danusa is a true ally to parents - a coach, confidant and friend - who can make a lifetime, positive impact on a family in a matter of nights. She helped make us better, more confident parents and we couldn’t be more grateful for her.
