Laura was truly a beautiful presence to have with us throughout the pregnancy and birth of our daughter! She felt like a trusted, experienced friend I could count on for advice and support, and always made me feel heard and understood. We had our daughter at a birth center with our 2.5-year-old son in attendance, and Laura floated gracefully between him, my husband, and I to give our family just what we needed at just the right time. Whether it was gentle reminders to have a sip of water or try a new position, taking over with physical support so my husband could get a break, or quietly reading a book to our son and helping him with a snack, Laura intuitively stepped in and created the most peaceful birthing environment. She played such an integral role in the most magical birth I could’ve dreamed of, which we are forever grateful for! I feel she has definitely found her calling and would recommend her in a heartbeat. Thank you again, Laura! -Alex

I am so grateful to have met Laura from Sokana Collective and I cannot thank her enough for the emotional support and just being there for me during my birth experience. Laura always checked up on me, her personality is so uplifting which made my experience wonderful with her. She was so encouraging during my labor experience and very communicative. I cannot express how much she has helped me through my journey, giving me the strength I needed during that time. I would highly recommend Sokana collective and most definitely Laura as your doula ! She’s honestly the best :)

“Laura really cares! Her calm and empathetic presence were a true source of comfort and peace during delivery. She is competent, but also loves what she is doing, that’s why her support touches the heart. Laura was not only present during  the time of delivery (which lasted 15 hours!) but also during my pregnancy. She was always ready to educate, guide, support, and visit, if need be, to make sure that my husband and I are confident of the process and encouraged. She is cheerful, friendly, and so genuine. Being from another culture, I experienced Laura’s cultural sensitivity in that she was able to connect with me and advocate for me in ways that transcended our cultural difference! If you are looking for a trustworthy, competent, and empathetic doula, Laura is surely who you are looking for!!”
