Teka was kind enough to take care of our newborn baby boy for 6 weeks, starting shortly after he was born. She was incredibly caring, professional and knowledgeable. Right from the start, she was thoughtful in how she interacted in our home and with our baby - immediately washing her hands before holding him, asking key questions about his routine, etc. She was always on time, flexible with scheduling when needed, and truly a warm and kind presence in our home and with our sweet boy. You can tell that she's passionate about her job, and cares deeply for the babies she takes care of. With her support overnight, I was able to get some much needed sleep, which made the postpartum period so much easier than it was with my first. I also firmly believe that she helped established some healthy sleep patterns with our young baby. I highly recommend her to take care of your baby - she has been the best and I wish we could have worked with her longer!

Teka helped our family as an overnight doula for our second baby, and, after spending 6 weeks together, I can recommend her services wholeheartedly as she is an exceptional doula and a wonderful person.

I'm the type of mom who wouldn't even let nurses take my kids out of sight, so I was a bit hesitant at first about the idea of leaving my newborn baby with a stranger while I'm asleep. Because of my own anxieties, I wasn't able to sleep much in the first few nights, so Teka and I spent a lot of time together chatting, and I got to know her better. She's very warm, open, and candid, which allowed us to build trust quickly.

It became immediately obvious how much she loves her work and how genuine is her affection for the babies in her care. A couple of weeks in, I was already comfortable enough to leave our baby with her all night and pump instead of getting up to nurse. She felt like part of the family and took the best care of our baby, providing much rest and relief for my husband and me.

She is a rare type of person who takes on each day with earnest dedication, looking for ways to help support the family as a whole, and constantly working on self improvement and professional development. For the parents out there who care about following research based best practices, rest assured. She's always studying to make sure her methods are aligned with the most up to date guidelines.

I wish the best of luck to all the new parents reading this, and encourage you to enjoy the wonderful rest that Teka will give you in the first few weeks. I was amazed at how quickly I recovered and how easy the whole postpartum period felt. Once we were on our own, the sleepless nights hit hard!

The support from Maristela was amazing every step of the way. From the prenatal classes, she provided us with a solid foundation of knowledge, addressing all our questions and preparing us for labor with confidence and calm. Although I faced breastfeeding challenges, Maristela was instrumental in recognizing the signs and guiding us to the pediatric dentist, where we discovered my baby had a lip tie. She not only helped us understand what was happening but also offered the emotional support we needed, showing patience and empathy during tough moments. With her help, we were able to overcome the challenge and establish a much smoother breastfeeding routine. Her dedication, empathy, and expertise were key in making my birth and postpartum experience so much more positive.

We were privileged to have Maristela support us during the postpartum nights, and her care made a significant difference for us first-time parents. She cared for our baby with great care, dedication and expertise, ensuring that we felt confident and at ease.

Maristela was excellent in all aspects of nighttime care, from feeding our baby to monitoring his sleep and maintaining a safe environment. She was great at teaching us about the importance of keeping the crib where he slept safe, she taught my husband how to swaddle and much more about babies. Her professional and calm approach allowed us to get the rest we needed to manage our days in a balanced way. Maristela worked with our son for 6 weeks and was never a minute late to our home. She is super professional and caring.

Having Maristela as our doula during our daughter’s transition to motherhood was a true gift. As first-time grandparents, we wanted to support our daughter and our new grandson, but we also felt a bit overwhelmed. From the moment Maristela arrived, she created a peaceful and comforting atmosphere that put us all at ease.
Not only did she provide invaluable support to our daughter, but she also took the time to involve us in the process. I am so grateful to have stumbled upon Teka through the NCS Postpartum Doulas overnight group. Her professionalism is interspersed with funny jokes, encouragement, and humanity. She definitely brought lightness to such a difficult time. We have depended on Teka to provide us with a wealth of breastfeeding knowledge and random first-time parent questions, such as how to burp, how to set up the pump, measuring my nipple, etc. It has been so good to rely on her during this process. She has been wonderful in trying to match us with backup doulas to meet our needs, and again, she has helped us every step of the way, not only as a postpartum doula but also with breastfeeding!

Teka worked for us for over a year as a full time nanny for our daughter (1-2 years old) and occasionally for our son (3-4 years old). She is an amazing nanny and person: warm, friendly, very competent and responsible, has a positive attitude, and works very hard. She has no difficulty handling children in any situation. Above all she is a professional who takes her work very seriously. In short, if you are in need of help with child care, you could not find a better person to help!

Maristela took care of Jamie my son and I for four months. Because of the complications of birthing the child we needed extra care and attentiveness. Maristela did an outstanding job adapting to all the changes and taking care of our family. We always felt safe resting at night when Maristela was in charge, she is the absolute best of the best and we are so grateful for her and the positive impact she's had on our family.
