If I won the lottery today, I would immediately send Bahia an additional $10,000 to thank her for her priceless gift of being our Doula. Not only is she informed and experienced, she is gracefully passionate, patiently lovingly, empathetic, generous, attentive, devoted, and so so wise. Her presence was FULL of presents at my daughter's birth, and I am depthlessly grateful. Thanks to Bahia, my daughter's father was able to be by side in the most sweet and loving ways- he was nourished and supported, making it possible for him to be fully present for me and our daughter. What a priceless gift. 

I have to whole-heartedly acknowledge that each birth is so personal. It seems to me that births are their own entity of sorts- as in, they go their own way. This being said, I still accredit Bahia and her loving wisdom for my quick and beautiful birth. Her gentle yet strong encouragement helped me rise into my Power and walk courageously into the face of the wild (and painful!) unknown of birthing. If it weren't for her, I have no doubt that I would've spent a lot of time avoiding the pain instead of facing it. I have no doubt that birthing my daughter would've taken far longer than the active 4 or so hours I was in labor. Again, each birth is perfect in it's own unfolding, AND, Bahia was a vital part of the perfectly imperfect beauty, safety and goodness of ours. So much so that even though she wasn't physically present when I birthed my second child (I wish I could've afforded to fly her to where we live!), her EVERYTHING carried over and Blessed even my second birthing.  

Her ability to hold space for whatever IS is truly remarkable and precious. Before, during and after birth. She is one of the most genuine, beautiful, kind, loving and wise humans I've ever met, and you and your family would be PROFOUNDLY Blessed to be in her care.
