Post a testimonial for Amy Furnish

Amy came into our home when Willow was 4 days old and brought with her a peaceful, calming presence that really made us feel confident as second time parents. Postpartum is messy, and it's unavoidable how messy it can feel as you recover, care for a new little one and an older child, not knowing exactly what that life looks like with such an abrupt transition. Amy took the time to check in with how I'm doing every time she came to help us care for Willow and really heard and validated my concerns and struggles. She always gave extremely helpful recommendations on what could help Willow be more comfortable as well as ways for me to take care of myself and for my husband to care for me and our family. She is a kind and gentle person and I felt instantly at home in her presence and assured that our baby girl was in excellent hands. I would choose Amy again in a heartbeat if we plan to expand our family down the road. We didn't have a postpartum doula for our firstborn, but wished we had because our experience with Amy made postpartum recovery and life with a new baby girl so much easier to transition into and ground ourselves faster as a family. Thank you so much Amy for being an integral part of our family's success during a big life transition, we are forever grateful for your help over the past few months!!

Amy was heaven-sent during our postpartum period as a new family of four. Her warm and grounded energy made us feel comfortable from the very first phone call and throughout our time with her that grew into a sweet friendship. She was incredible with both our baby and our toddler (toddler is basically obsessed) and took no time at all getting familiar with our home. She needs no direction and intuitively just knows what needs to be done and how to be most supportive. She made us the most nourishing meals and even brought homemade elderberry syrup when a cold made its way through our home.
Beyond the practical help, Amy helped us feel calmer, more capable, and genuinely cared for during a tender season. She’s a true gem and we feel incredibly grateful to know her. Couldn’t recommend her more.

We feel so grateful to have found Amy as our postpartum doula. From the very beginning, she has been kind, caring, and nurturing, not only with our five-month-old baby, who absolutely adores her, but with our whole family.
Amy truly understands postpartum life can be sometimes lonely and overwhelming. She has been such a wonderful presence, someone I can talk to openly, who listens and reassures without judgment. She makes me feel seen and supported, and she reminds me that it really does take a village to raise a little human.
She consistently goes above and beyond in her care, and we’ve come to deeply trust her. She is always punctual, communicative, and dependable, which makes it easy to relax knowing our baby is in the best hands. Having Amy as part of our support system has made this season of life lighter and more joyful. We couldn’t recommend her more highly.

We had the immense good fortune of finding Amy through Doula Love, and I truly can’t imagine those early days with our newborn without her gentle presence. As first-time parents, my husband and I were navigating a whirlwind of emotions, exhaustion, and adjustment — and then came Amy, like a calm breeze in the storm.
She came during the nights to care for our son, giving us the precious gift of rest. But what she brought was so much more than just help — she brought peace into our home. Her thoughtful nature and calm, grounding energy made all the difference during a time that felt overwhelming. Amy has this quiet strength about her that instantly makes you feel safe and supported.
She didn't just care for our baby — she cared for us, too. She brought nourishing homemade meals, soothing herbal teas to aid in my healing, and a wealth of knowledge and compassion that reassured me I was doing okay, even on the hard days.
Amy is a true nurturer. She doesn’t just show up — she shows up with her whole heart. I will forever be grateful for the care she gave our family, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly to anyone seeking support during this precious and tender time.

I'm so glad Amy was a part of our first few days at home with our newborn. She did a beautiful job caring for our baby over night so we could get some much needed rest. Not only did Amy care for our newborn, she took care of me with nourishing snacks, lactation support, and loving kindness during a very vulnerable period. She's made a lasting impression on all of us. I would recommend Amy to any family.

Amy provided postpartum night support during our baby’s first week. Our son is our first child and arrived almost a month early, so we felt quite unprepared and anxious about the demands of caring for a (borderline) preemie baby. Those first seven days at home were challenging, but the positive energy, warmth and support that Amy brought to our home made the transition so much easier and helped us embrace the beauty of that first week.
Amy is mature and conscientious, and her gentleness and nurturing instincts make her such a wonderful caregiver to a newborn. We felt confident going to bed each night knowing that our baby was in such capable hands and in the hours we were up with her, she provided practical advice to us as new parents based on what she was seeing at night and patterns we were experiencing during the day.
The most special thing about Amy was her genuine care for our son. It was touching how she approached the opportunity to be with our newborn as a privilege and not a “job”. She became an extended part of our family and will make our memory of that first week even more special.
We highly recommend Amy to any family looking for a doula who is professional, thoughtful, and is committed to fostering a warm and loving environment for your family.
