Post a testimonial for Amy Furnish

We had the immense good fortune of finding Amy through Doula Love, and I truly can’t imagine those early days with our newborn without her gentle presence. As first-time parents, my husband and I were navigating a whirlwind of emotions, exhaustion, and adjustment — and then came Amy, like a calm breeze in the storm.
She came during the nights to care for our son, giving us the precious gift of rest. But what she brought was so much more than just help — she brought peace into our home. Her thoughtful nature and calm, grounding energy made all the difference during a time that felt overwhelming. Amy has this quiet strength about her that instantly makes you feel safe and supported.
She didn't just care for our baby — she cared for us, too. She brought nourishing homemade meals, soothing herbal teas to aid in my healing, and a wealth of knowledge and compassion that reassured me I was doing okay, even on the hard days.
Amy is a true nurturer. She doesn’t just show up — she shows up with her whole heart. I will forever be grateful for the care she gave our family, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly to anyone seeking support during this precious and tender time.

I'm so glad Amy was a part of our first few days at home with our newborn. She did a beautiful job caring for our baby over night so we could get some much needed rest. Not only did Amy care for our newborn, she took care of me with nourishing snacks, lactation support, and loving kindness during a very vulnerable period. She's made a lasting impression on all of us. I would recommend Amy to any family.

Amy provided postpartum night support during our baby’s first week. Our son is our first child and arrived almost a month early, so we felt quite unprepared and anxious about the demands of caring for a (borderline) preemie baby. Those first seven days at home were challenging, but the positive energy, warmth and support that Amy brought to our home made the transition so much easier and helped us embrace the beauty of that first week.
Amy is mature and conscientious, and her gentleness and nurturing instincts make her such a wonderful caregiver to a newborn. We felt confident going to bed each night knowing that our baby was in such capable hands and in the hours we were up with her, she provided practical advice to us as new parents based on what she was seeing at night and patterns we were experiencing during the day.
The most special thing about Amy was her genuine care for our son. It was touching how she approached the opportunity to be with our newborn as a privilege and not a “job”. She became an extended part of our family and will make our memory of that first week even more special.
We highly recommend Amy to any family looking for a doula who is professional, thoughtful, and is committed to fostering a warm and loving environment for your family.
