We hired Angie as our postpartum night doula about 3 weeks after our son was born when my husband went back to work and she has been an integral part of mine and my husbands postpartum experience. We have an older child at home so wanted to make sure we got good sleep for at least a few nights a week to make sure we could be the best parents possible for both of our children. Angie came into our home to care for our newborn overnight 3 nights a week and we couldn't have asked for a better night doula. We're formula feeding our child and she was in full support and handled all overnight feedings and soothing for the nights she was here. Her calm, friendly, and caring presence allowed me to feel fully comfortable with her caring for our child overnight - I knew she would provide all the love and snuggles they needed. She is always open and willing to doing additional tasks overnight (folding laundry, washing bottles, etc.) which is much appreciated. We have absolutely loved Angie and would highly recommend her services.

Angie is one of the sweetest humans I’ve had the pleasure of knowing—there is a reason I so quickly went back to her the instant we knew we were expecting our second child! She not only brings a calm energy to the room, making you feel safe and secure even in the midst of emergency, but makes you feel like family. One of my absolute favorite things, too, is watching her talk to baby (even when he/she is still in the womb <3), like they truly are the cutest and most loved little human they are. During my second birth, an unplanned/surprise home birth, I remember the whole room’s energy changing when we realized baby’s heartrate had dropped and baby was in some distress and needed to come out ASAP. Angie knew of how rough my first delivery and recovery went, and how traumatic pushing was for me, and in that last moment (those final two pushes), I remember her calm/gentle voice reassuring me that I could trust her, her giving grace and allowing me time for one extra push to hopefully prevent a repeat birth injury (while also still watching baby), and her overall reassuring presence as I let go of fear and trusted her to do what she could to help me and baby best. In the days after birth both times, she checked in on me and baby, always making sure we were cozy first and then adapting herself, even if that meant doing our checks from bed, and no matter the type of day/night she has had with births, that same friendly smile meets you every time. Lord willing, when we have our third, I plan to go straight to Angie again where I know I will yet again be in good hands.

I delivered my baby girl back in 2022 and Angie was my faithful midwife who saw me through prenatal appointments, a smooth labor and postpartum recovery. The care she provided was personal and professional as she is very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my many questions regarding pregnancy and childbirth. She welcomed my call when I started labor late in the evening and she supported me through the final hours of labor early that morning. I can still vividly remember her by my side when I began pushing. She continued to not only cheer me on but also provide physical assistance through helping my body relax and change positions. I sustained a second-degree tear as my baby was born but it was barely a thought in my mind as Angie had me all stitched up in no time. She is a big part of why my whole birth experience was so wonderful and I am extremely thankful to have had her as my midwife.

You will praise the day you hired Angie to be a part of your birth team! She is always upbeat and positive and genuinely has a heart of gold. You can tell that she loves what she does every day. She is extremely knowledgeable in all things within the birth arena, and most imporantly she imparts that knowledge in a clear manor that is easy to digest. She is always open to questions, and truly makes you feel empowered in all of your decision making around your pregnancy and birth. Angie was a godsend during my labor and delivery. She had a positive, calming presence, gently guiding me through the process as a first time mama. Although Angie is sweet as pie, she is a wonderful balance of strength and confidence as well. Even though she had an extremely busy work week when I gave birth to my daughter, you would have never known it. She was full of energy and completely gave me what I needed during labor and delivery. I loved my home birth with Angie, and can't wait to do it again! She was also wonderful post delivery, checking in on us and making sure we had all that we needed. Cannot recommend her enough.

I’ve had the honor to have had not one, but two, amazingly perfect birth experiences with Angie! For the first birth Angie was my midwife, for the second birth she had the role of birth assistant. Both times she really went above and beyond!
During the first birth I transitioned rapidly, I was petrified at one point at how intense the contractions were. I told Angie I was afraid. She reassured me with confidence and coached me right through. She looked me in the eyes and said something along the lines of "You are strong, you are brave, you are ready." I repeated those words to myself and my whole mindset shifted from feeling like I might pass out to feeling truly capable. She was able to observe my intense fear without reflecting it back. Not long after, the baby was born! It wasn't just her words, but her level-headed demeanor that made me feel very safe and able to let go of the fear that was holding me back.
For the second birth, I had another relatively fast labor which was beautiful. However, after the baby was born I had some complications. Just as I was getting ready to go home, I almost became unconscious. I needed extra care in order to be stablized enough to go home. Angie worked in harmony with the midwife diligently, doing her best to make me as comfortable as possible- getting a heating pad for my cramping abdomen, carefully helping me into comfortable positions, making sure I had water and so much more! I felt so well cared for and supported during those difficult post-birth moments.
Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Angie as a doula for your birth! My family and I feel so fortunate for everything she has done. Bringing a baby into the world in a secure and loving atmosphere is such a priceless experience… and that is exactly what Angie helped us do!

The characteristic that stands out to me most about Angie is her warmth. She ALWAYS greeted me with a smile and often a hug. Even if she was tired you would never know, because she was always in a good mood. Her energy was so positive and welcoming. She is FUN to be around! I love the quote from Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” I highly recommend Angie as a doula to anyone because of the way she made me feel. She made me feel like I was super woman. She took care of my every need and anticipated my needs that I couldn't even articulate in the moment. Thankfully during my pregnancy and delivery no complications arose. Angie answered every question I had. I tested positive for group B strep and she didn't just give me her opinion, she gave me all the information I needed to make the best informed decision for my baby regarding antibiotics. I gave birth in the tub for the first time and I had no idea how to sit. I had a lot of back labor pain, so Angie suggested a position that helped me a ton and it was the most comfortable position to give birth for me. After baby was born, Catherine needed extra time getting fluid out. Angie's demeanor helped me get through what could have been a scary moment. I just watched as she knew exactly what to do. My baby was absolutely fine. Angie talked me through what she was doing and because she was calm, I could be calm. When I went to take a shower after birth. I didn't even realize that Angie was paying attention to me until I said outloud to myself "I did it!!" She came running over to me. I was confused. She didn't hear what I had said, but knew she heard something and was making sure I was okay and not as risk of collapsing (something I wasn't even thinking about). I got a laugh out of it and assured her I was fine, just congratulating myself.

I first met Angie 6 years ago when she worked at Eastside BC as a midwife. It was my first pregnancy and we immediately clicked. She is one of those people with extremely positive energy and I’ve never seen that positivity falter for the 6 years I’ve worked with her. Going through pregnancy comes with a lot of really important decisions to make. I didn’t know what questions to even ask but after each appointment with her I felt like I had received all the information I would need to make a decision I was happy with. By my third pregnancy I could fully trust her to help guide me through all these decisions as we had gotten to know each other so well that we were on the same page. I could even ask her “what would you do?” Her answers were always honest and in line with my thinking. She really listened to my concerns/goals and would always take that into account when offering her opinions, which gave me the confidence needed to go through my pregnancy with confidence. A few weeks from my due date, my other midwife informed me that Angie was taking some time off due to the loss of a family member. When my labor started, I expected to not see Angie but despite everything she was going through, she showed up to assist the other midwife with my birth. Seeing her there and having her support was exactly what I needed and I am so grateful to have found someone so caring and truly selfless to be there for me during the most transformative and challenging experience in my life. I cannot imagine someone better to support me during this incredible journey into motherhood. I would highly recommend her as a doula to advocate for you as well as be a bright light to turn to when you need that extra push to bring you through your birth.
She is a true gift and will forever leave an impact on you. Thank you Angie for all that you have done and continue to do

She is kind, she is thoughtful, she is genuine, and provides a great deal of care catered to clients needs and wants. She holds a wealth of knowledge and presents it in a way that allows clients to make the best informed decisions for themselves and does so without any judgment. She allows clients to be their own best advocates and lead with the outcomes that they want, as long as clients remain healthy and happy with the decisions that they make. She gives grace for when clients want to change their minds and is adaptable when pivoting is needed/wanted. She is very personable and welcomes all in any questions, no matter how silly they feel, and answers them with knowledge and provides solutions that have been helpful for me as a client of hers. With any issues I had during my pregnancy and postpartum she has helped provide me with solutions that I had felt most comfortable welcoming. I cannot recommend Angie enough, you have stumbled upon the best person out there to be cared for during pregnancy, birth, and post partum care.

Angie was a fantastic midwife and she was a midwife for two of my four babies. Sometimes I wonder if I had the fourth baby just so I could have the privilege of working with her again most importantly she is extremely respectful of the mother and the mother's decisions, she never judges Mom or forces her into anything she doesn't want to do. She's a very clear communicator whose demeanor helps to keep emotions steady, even if problems are arising. For example, When I was in labor at home there was a little bit of meconium in the amniotic fluid and the babies heart rate indicated a little bit of stress. She didn't freak out or say it was a huge deal. She just told me I needed to get the baby out now. And I did! In addition when my daughter was at 36 weeks and after she kept flipping around, she would not stay heads down and Angie helped me to get acupuncture to get multiple scans and even referred me for an inversion so that way I could get the homebirth I wanted I really believe Angie wants everyone to get the birth that they're looking for a safe Way. Finally, she is so respectful of personal space. She always asks for permission to touch you before doing any kind of procedure. As a mom who has given birth in hospital and home settings with multiple different midwives, I can confidently say Angie is the best.

I can't thank Angie enough for the incredible care and support she provided during the birth of my first baby at the birth center. Initially, I was quite anxious, especially since most of my friends had delivered in hospitals, but Angie was absolutely amazing. She was not only incredibly skilled but also so kind and thoughtful. I tend to get easily anxious, but her encouragement made a world of difference for me. She helped me see childbirth as a beautiful experience.
Beyond the emotional support, her expertise during the delivery was truly astonishing. My baby was nearly 8 pounds, but thanks to her guidance, I didn’t experience any tearing or injury. Both my baby and I are so grateful for her, and if I ever decide to have another baby, I will definitely go back to Angie!

I'm so thankful I found Angie. Her kind, conpassionate, and intuitive spirit encouraged me through all 8 months of pregnancy that I saw her for. She was quick to reply to emails & texts throughout pregnancy, and always willing to chat on the phone if needed. I always felt safe & prioritized during my time with her, and when it came to babes birthday, she started driving to me the second I called her. She listened to my request to be fairly hands off during the birth, but was still there to give me support & reassurance when needed. I mentioned that I was feeling lightheaded while taking a shower after giving birth, and Angie overheard me from the next room and came running to support me - which was a good thing since I passed out just a second later. Angie gave me the experience that I didn't get to have with my first baby, and I'll always be eternally grateful for that!
