I'm a Certified Professional Midwife licensed in New Jersey, an experienced labor doula, and an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor offering safe, inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive care. I am passionate about client autonomy, true informed choice, and evidence-based practice. I'm the proud mom of a transgender son and an autistic daughter, and I have years of experience advocating for them within the medical and social systems. I offer a range of inclusive services for families of all types. I'm also a former NJ public school teacher and volunteer teacher of English as a foreign language to adult learners in Essex County, NJ.

Fee Details

My fee varies based on services offered. Options include doula package or monitrice package. Please see my website for complete descriptions as well as testimonials. What's a monitrice? A monitrice blends doula support with midwifery expertise. I provide the emotional, physical,& informational support of a labor doula, plus, as a Licensed Midwife, labor assessment at home: taking vital signs, listening to baby's heartbeat, and, if requested, cervical checks to evaluate labor progress. Monitrice support is beneficial for anyone planning a hospital birth who’d like to labor at home for as long as possible without worrying about getting to the hospital too early or too late! First time parents, VBAC, and those healing from birth-related trauma will benefit from the extra reassurance and skill a monitrice provides. At the hospital I continue to provide doula support while clinical assessments shift to your primary providers.
