Danya was the best postpartum doula we could have asked for. She has a quiet confidence which helps create a peaceful and supportive atmosphere-- so important in those wild first weeks! She offered both practical and emotional support, from helping us figure out the logistics of late-night diaper changes and baby soothing tips to cheerleading our feeding efforts and sympathysizing with challenges. She kept us sane and encouraged us to grow as parents, offering her expert knowledge while allowing us to take the lead on decisions. She is both gentle and highly professional and reliable. And our daughter loved her- it was a gift to take a nap while knowing our baby was in such competent and loving hands. I highly recommend Danya- she was an invaluable part of my postpartum experience and ended up feeling like a member of our family.

We are so grateful to have found Danya to support our family with the birth of our first baby. We had no idea what to expect as first time parents but Danya's presence was critical to my recovery as a mother in postpartum. She is a great communicator and helps identify needs and priorities that support both the parents and the baby's well-being so everyone can be healthy and thrive. Danya is very knowlegable about birth, postpartum and newborns. She took care of our daughter effortlessly and had great ideas about how to soothe her. I felt relieved when our daughter was with Danya, knowing she'd be happy and safe. Danya also researched some specific questions we had and provided us with great information about nutrition and breastfeeding issues. Although Danya brings a wealth of experience with babies and parenthood, she is respectful of parents' choices and makes it her goal to understand and support those choices. One of my favorite things about Danya is that she is proactive in identifying ways to help. She knows what is needed without us asking or micromanaging. Also, Danya is attentive to details. She listens and she notices our preferences related to household chores and the baby's care and implements accordingly. We kept asking Danya to return well beyond the newborn phase because our daughter loves her and so do we. If you are considering a doula I can't recommend Danya enough. She is incredibly valuable. If we have any more children we hope to book as much time as we can with her.

As a first-time parent, I am incredibly grateful for Danya's help. She is calm, patient, and wonderfully kind to my baby. Whenever my baby was fussy, Danya would try everything to soothe her, and their playtime was always full of smiles and laughter. Danya also made sure I got the rest I needed, while taking care of things around the house—cleaning bottles and pump parts, doing laundry, washing dishes, and more. I’m confident she will provide exceptional care for you and your baby as well.

Danya was an amazing source of support for us as our postpartum Doula! We can't recommend her highly enough for postpartum doula support. Our first child, a baby girl, was born in late May 2024, and Danya supported us with day and overnight visits for the first ~12 weeks. We had found Danya through DoulaMatch.net, interviewed her over zoom, followed by an in-person visit to our home, and we chose to work with her based on her experience and *vibes*! It was the best decision we made going into the wild unknown of new parenthood. Danya was as generous with us in her care as though we were her own family. She is an excellent communicator, her love for our baby girl was palpable and moving, and her deep commitment to supporting postpartum care givers, especially birthing parents, was truly transformative for us (espcially me as the new mom). She helped us (especially mom) get precious sleep with her overnights, knowing our baby was in amazing hands. She reduced maternal anxiety with her knowledge and offers to do internet research to avoid my google spiraling, made delicious healthy food to support postpartum recovery, gave invaluable advice on breasfeeding, infant care, and postpartum care (padsicles!!), and generally held our hands metaphorically and literally for those precious first weeks of new parenthood. We have come to regard Danya as a friend and a cherished member of our Seattle area family (both of our birth families live far away), and she'll be receiving invites to all babygirl-related celebrations for years to come! Danya was also always on time and pro-active in her communication; generally she was incredibly easy to work with. If we end up having another child, we would be lucky to work with Danya again. We had to say "see you later" to Danya last month, and it was so emotional and sad that she would no longer be a part of our weekly lives for the time being. We love Danya!

Danya provided me with post partum support and I am forever grateful for her insights as well as emotional and physical support. My post partum would not have been the same without the care she provided. While I sat holding my baby she very quietly moved around the space creating calm from chaos (which is what every new mother needs). She had amazing insights to share during healing and was an amazing listener as I processed my birth and feelings. I'm forever in debted to her support during such a fragile time, what a gift to have had her a part of it!

We were so lucky to have Danya's help a week after our daughter was born! She cooked for us, cared for baby, cared for me (mom), and kept our house in such a state of peace during what could have been one of the most stressful times of our lives. Danya is incredibly knowledgeable (both from studying and giving birth/experiencing postpartum herself) and was able to give me helpful and nonjudgmental guidance about the day to day with baby as well as what I was experiencing postpartum. She came prepared with books for nighttime feedings for both my husband and I (which we loved) and ready to snuggle during contact naps (which our daughter loved). Danya has such a calming presence and we are eternally grateful to the week she spent away from her own family to be with ours!
