My goal as a doula is to help you clarify what it is that you envision your birth and postpartum time to be and help you achieve that through planning, education, and connection. Finding a team that cares for and respects you through the incredible journey to parenthood is the golden ticket to a good birth and postpartum period. I have had a wide variety of doula and personal birth experiences ranging from homebirth, birth center, hospital, induction, pain management, and c-sections. I also have experience with twin doula support and gave birth to my own set of twins. I have been trained in the Spinning Babies method which helps ensure baby is in the optimal position for birth. I will be on-call 24/7 beginning at 37 weeks for birth work. I have scholarships available for financial need and can also take HSA and FSA payment. I work with Carrot clients and private insurance clients for both postpartum and birth doula services.

We couldn’t have asked for a more incredible birth experience, and it’s all thanks to Jordan. From the very beginning, she was there for us every step of the way, offering unwavering support, compassion, and wisdom. She took the time to truly understand our preferences, fears, and hopes, and her calming presence during labor made all the difference.

Throughout the journey, Jordan provided us with practical guidance and emotional reassurance that helped us feel prepared and empowered. During labor, she anticipated our needs even before we did, offering comfort measures, encouraging words, and a steady calm that kept us grounded. We truly couldn’t have done it without her!

If you're looking for someone who is knowledgeable, compassionate, and entirely dedicated to your experience, then Jordan is the perfect doula for you. She made our birth experience positive, memorable, and even joyful, and we feel so grateful to have had her by our side. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a birth doula who will go above and beyond.

I highly recommend having Jordan as your doula. Our experience with Jordan was 11/10; she was magic.

Jordan makes everything easy. She listened to what my husband and I were each hoping for in our birth experience and helped us get there! We learned so much from her to truly understand all our options, to really make welcoming our little one what we wanted.  We had a lot of questions and Jordan answered every question we had without fail, with both honesty and reassurance.  If she didn’t already know the answer from her wealth of experience, she would find the answer and always follow up.  No question was ever too big, small or silly; we always felt comfortable asking her.

Jordan goes above and beyond. From arranging to stay nearby so that she wouldn’t miss a thing when our due date came to sending exercises to prep for labor to helping us post partum, Jordan has become someone we trust wholeheartedly. We count ourselves very lucky to have her in our corner and will definitely call her if we are expecting again!

I'm very thankful to have had Jordan with me during labor and delivery. She was calm, encouraging and helpful throughout the process, and fun to talk to. She helped me breathe through the contractions and made sure I had all the water I needed. I especially appreciated her praying for me before she left, and checking up on me in the weeks after I gave birth. We loved having her visit us and were blessed by her generosity to our whole family.

The morning of April 21st, 2024, after spending 2 weeks on bed rest at St. Joseph's & being induced, I woke up & told my nurse, "I'm tired of being in bed. I don't want to lay down all day, can we do some stretching or exercises to speed this up." Luckily for me, Jordan was volunteering that day, so my nurse grabbed her & we got to work. We went from laying on my back, to side ways, & doing step ups . I did everything she asked, because I truly believe in Jordan from the second I met her. We started at about 10am & took a break for lunch & hopped back into it. I can admit that the doctor did discourage me when he told me last nights Dr measured my cervix wrong & I wasn't actually at a 6, I was at a 4. They also continued to threaten me with getting a c-section at the end of the day. With that being said, Jordan stuck by my side & adviced me through it all.

Despite being discouraged, we continued to work on speeding up the delivery. (Did I mention my goal was to try to make it through without an epidural? I told Jordan this from the beginning & she coached me through the pain & process.) By 3:30pm I started feeling the stronger contraction & by 4:45pm I pushed out my baby.

My baby was taken down to the NICU & Jordan stuck by my side as my husband went with our baby. Through it all, Jordan was everything I needed: empowering, experienced, nurturing & reassuring. She waited with me until we got moved to recovery, helped me with using the pump, & gave me a couple of resources.

We were in the NICU for about 23 days & Jordan went out of her way to go see my son a couple times & continues to check in to see how we are doing ! Jordan has a special place in our hearts & I 1000x recommend her to anyone & everyone !

To whom it may concern
I want to talk about my experience having my baby at ST Joseph hospital, with help and support from Jordan Cota. It was very nice thing to see her when came to my room and offered her help and support, she is a person who lives the moment with you and fills with courage to move forward when you can no longer, apart from the fact that she has many suggestions and is a woman full of experience, she definitely knows what she is doing. I am very grateful to her for all her help!! Without her I don't know what I would have done. Thank God and her for being there that day at that moment.

I definitely want her to be with me in the future when I have my next baby. oh even help and support my sister and every woman that I know, totally recommended, she is the best. Thank you very much.
Jordan Cota.
