I usually say I accidentally fell into the field of birth work, but I guess that's not totally true. After spending a decade abroad running a foster home/cardiac surgery program for babies with complex congenital heart defects and maternal/fetal health programs for at-risk indigenous families, I unexpectedly found myself stuck in New York City in early 2020, waiting out this little bug called "Covid-19" that was shutting borders all around the world... I certified as a birth & postpartum doula in the USA in 2020, to be with my best friend for the birth of her first child in the midst of Covid protocols. I never could have imagined how much I would fall in love with birthwork here in the United States and it is the greatest honor to walk alongside families as they grow and change (in whatever capacity!), providing unbiased & judgment-free support, advocacy, guidance, and care during such intimate and pivotal moments.
I love working with families and am very flexible to curate the most impactful and economical package for your specific needs to ensure that every family has access to the support that is so vital during the birth and postpartum recovery period. Please reach out to me directly for any specific questions!

When I was pregnant with my first child in the height of the Covid pandemic, I was overwhelmed with decisions about navigating a birth without the support of extra family/friends that I always thought would be able to attend. When our hospital told us that we were allowed to have a doula for support, I reached out to Meredith. It was the best decision my husband and I could have ever made. She was overwhelmingly kind, listened to every concern and assuaged every fear, and supported us every step of the way. Even throughout a 36 hour labor and delivery, she never let up her constant encouragement and support. I can't imagine not having her as such an important piece of our birth story. After delivery, she supported us during the postpartum period, helping with breastfeeding and newborn care tactics. She stayed up countless nights caring for our sweet baby boy so that we could get a good night sleep, washing my pump parts, bottles, and answering every question I had about my changing hormones and body. Thank you will never be enough!

Meredith was a best friend, confidante, and educator throughout the entire pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. I wasn't sure if I needed a doula initially, and now I truly cannot imagine going through such a monumental life experience without her. I was so grateful for her wisdom and expertise, how she explained my options (both during delivery and afterwards, like with breastfeeding) with zero judgment, and was a constant source of calm and confidence. And she kept things light and funny too! I cannot recommend her enough and look forward to using her during my next pregnancy.
