Two prenatal appointments -Discuss your ideal birth experience - Get to know the family - Review past birthing history - Teach and practice comfort techniques - Discuss the stages and phases of labor - Discuss postpartum and how to prepare for it - Connect you with helpful resources - Continuous support during labor and delivery - Emotional, mental and physical support - Physical touch - Advocating for your birth preferences - Birth photos/videos on your device - Encouragement and support for birth partner - 1-2 hours of immediate postpartum care One postpartum visit (1-2 hours). To be arranged 2-10 days after birth. - Baby feeding questions or concerns - Nursing support and referrals to lactation specialists if needed - Talk about your birth story - Assist with some light housework, tidying, food prep - Care for baby while you shower or sleep - Assist with anything you feel will help you settle in and feel supported better in the postpartum period
