After a difficult postpartum journey with our first child, my wife and I decided that prioritizing postpartum care with our second was a nonnegotiable. We were fortunate enough to have Marissa H recommend Zoë for us based on our past experience and present needs. This truly was a perfect pairing. Zoë has incredible energy—she is warm and reassuring and has a sense of humor that was greatly appreciated on our most sleep-deprived days. Our days spent with Zoë always left us feeling immensely grateful as we were able to let go of some of the mental load of balancing the needs of two children and instead focus on our own needs for a few hours. The ability to have time for a nap or a shower or running out to the store or a phone call without worrying about the well-being of our newborn and toddler was a gift that significantly helped both my and my wife’s mental health postpartum. To top it off, both our newborn and our toddler fell head-over-heels in love with Zoë and, as a parent, seeing our child(ren) cared for and delighted in was a special sort of reassurance. While we weren’t sure how it would feel to have someone new in our home postpartum, each of Zoë’s visits felt like that of a good friend. We are so grateful to Zoë and the Lemon Grove for the exceptional care our family received!

We are so thankful for Zoe’s support throughout my pregnancy , labor , and postpartum. Going into my second pregnancy I was feeling anxious about labor and transitioning to a mom of 2. Zoe had a very grounding presence from the start and brought me the peace and calmness I was looking for. She helped educate me and my husband during my pregnancy with information on GD, yoga positions, breathing techniques, amazing podcasts and meditation to listen to and so much more. During labor she guided us and helped us slow down and connect with each other. Our environment was kept calm and Peaceful and we will always look back at this birth as such a beautiful moment .

We appreciated all the check ins PP and our 2.5 son was always so excited to see Zoe!

Zoe was such an empathetic and reassuring presence for us throughout the preparation, birth, and first weeks of our son's life. Without family nearby, we were seeking support for our first birth experience - Zoe was truly the perfect guide. She listened to my worries, asked thoughtful questions, and helped us develop our birth plan. Her evidence based approach combined with her holistic perspective made for a trusting partnership. 

When I learned I needed to be induced, Zoe helped me mentally prepare and even recommended an evidence based practice to request from our OB that I truly believe sped up our labor. She helped keep us calm, assisted with comfort measures, and was so supportive that I was able to stay walking and active much longer than I expected. 

My husband and I both couldn't recommend Zoe highly enough and can't imagine doing it without her!

From the moment we met Zoe, our family knew she was someone really special! Her genuine compassion and thoughtfulness make her a remarkable human being. We feel extremely lucky to have had Zoe as our postpartum doula.

Zoe's visits to our home were highly anticipated by everyone in our family. My toddler could not wait to come home from school to spend time with her on “Zoe Days.” He still talks about making banana bread, creating beaded necklaces, and mixing/prepping dinner with Zoe. As a parent, seeing your kid’s transition to a sibling is exciting but stressful. Zoe made the experience much easier.

Our baby girl loved snuggling with Zoe. Zoe helped us notice and celebrate all the small ways our daughter was growing and changing. She even helped us manage our baby's tummy troubles and get her to poop after 5 days of constipation!

Zoe helped our family with the physical and task oriented parts of the postpartum time, but also the emotional and tender moments. Zoe always made me feel heard, supported, and encouraged. I really looked forward to our chats together. Zoe connected me to awesome resources including podcasts and a postpartum planning book. Whatever topic we discussed, Zoe followed up with really thoughtful resources and ideas. 

Zoe was so considerate and dependable as we mapped out a schedule for our visits together. She is incredibly conscientious and always made us feel that our family was a priority.

Zoe helped our family celebrate this time of big transions with compassion and tenderness. Any family who has her as a doula is extraordinarily lucky! We can't say enough wonderful things about Zoe…I hope this little review catches a glimpse of what an amazing person she is!
