Shaina was a lifeline when I was struggling with being a first time mom and very early on in my breastfeeding journey. After seeing 3-4 different lactation consultants I was still struggling to get my baby to latch 6 weeks postpartum, Shaina helped me make a few changes to my breastfeeding position to get him to latch and feed for over 15 mins! I can't stress how much of a relief it was to have someone to help me while I'm in my space, instead of in a clinic or hospital room. She was so calm and positive about the whole thing and my little one (Rihaan) was so relaxed the whole time.

Over the next three months Shaina helped support and teach us how to work with a newborn as we got to know Rihaan. She taught us how to trim his nails, how to massage his tummy for gas, how to hold him when he's fussy or has gas. She's the reason he now loves his baths and will even tolerate us washing his face with water (he pretty much cried the whole time when I used to bathe him before Shaina helped me!). 

I went into my postpartum journey with a great support system (my husband was amazing and my partents stayed with us for the first 4 months to help us) but I was still struggling with postpartum anxiety, in and out of urgent care for weeks and feeling overwhelmed when I found Shaina. She was like a breath of fresh air and had this calmness and compentancy about her that both me and my mom adored. I can't put into words how greatful I am to have had her to help me create these positive core memories with my baby. I will always be greatful to her and I cannot recommend her enough to new parents!

Shaina is an amazing doula! She is knowledgeable and a wonderful human being. My birth experience was chaotic. Shania not only kept me and my husband calm, but brought so much positive energy. She was an advocate when we needed support too. I don’t think I could have made it through my birthing experience without her. I highly recommend Shania to anyone looking for a doula.

We were incredibly lucky to have Shaina with us during the first four weeks after our baby was born. She was not only experienced and knowledgeable but also warm and caring, which made all the difference during those sleepless nights. Shaina always carried a calming presence when we felt overwhelmed.  Even helped us with understanding all the kitchen gadgets we had purchase but didn’t have the time to read instructions, she helped and taught us how to use them. I was also so afraid of trimming my baby’s nails and Shaina handled it very well. She truly went above and beyond, and thanks to her, we were able to get the rest we needed while feeling confident that our baby was in the best hands.

Oh also, Shaina helped me during pregnancy with AMAZING yoga classes and one session of spinning babies. 

We can’t recommend her enough!

We are so grateful we found Shaina for postpartum doula support--she became part of our family! From our first consultation ahead of the birth of my second son, Shaina was warm and knowledgeable, always empathetic in listening to and offering her guidance for my concerns about the fourth trimester. Once he was born, Shaina swooped in like a real-life Mary Poppins! She continuously offered strategies for caring for our newborn as we got to know him--everything from how to trim his nails to the best ways to soothe him--and nonjudgemental support for me whenever I doubted how things were going. I was so grateful for the way she always asked me, "What do you need today?" And then she would help me get it, whatever it was!

It was clear from the beginning how comfortable my son was with her, and she was great with my toddler whenever he was in the house as well. I just can't recommend Shaina's support enough. We survived fourth trimester because of her: with her support I could attend to and feel more like myself, making me a better mom day in and day out, and for that I will forever be grateful.

I knew little about the doula experience before working with Shaina. Now I don't know how we would have gotten through birth without her. Shaina not only provided peace of mind during a very stressful time, but also lots of knowledge pre, during and post labor. I strongly support all families working with a doula like Shaina!

Shaina was a knowledgable and supportinve doula through my birth journey from prenatal to post! She remained flexible through all the bumps and was a godsend when the going got tough.  I couldn't imagine my birth experreince without her help!

Shaina was AMAZING. She was very engaging, patient and kind from the start. She was a great listener and offered constructive advice during all our prenatal meetings, attending to our needs. She's responsive and has always sent us follow-ups on what she promised to provide during our sessions. We never felt rushed when we asked questions. She helped so much during labor - breathing and pushing techniques, affirmation, emotional comfort, communicating with the care team, and simply being present and engaging were beneficial. I highly recommend her service to any first-time mom and am glad we brought her along on this special journey.

Love working with Shaina, I am so glad I got a Doula and more specifically Shaina. The process is not easy and even though my birth plan was not exactly how I envisioned it was the support I am glad to have received. Over 30 hrs of labor and 5 hrs of pushing Shaina was there during the whole process whether a phone call or present. I highly recommend her as your Doula

We could not recommend Shaina enough. As first time parents, it was so comforting and helpful to have Shaina by our side - we asked countless questions through pregnancy, relied on her for constant support during labor (physical and emotional), and even got some breastfeeding advice once we were settled at home postpartum. She was very accessible and responsive throughout our journey, and she welcomed open communication going forwards. Highly recommend!

I miss her already! As someone who is prone to PPD, finding the right postpartum support team was my top priority. During the first month after the birth of my second child, Shaina was a perfect addition to the family. She was incredibly intuitive, always knew exactly what I needed before I even knew I needed it. She had invaluable advice and strategiest for how to calm a newborn baby and even myself. Her demeanor was friendly and nonjudgemental which I appreciated. She was even great with my 4 year old daughter. She came as a doula and left as a friend. I would definitely recommend her to all my local friends or family that are expecting. Shaina was an absolute rockstar. Feel like Dad's are a little more reserved when it comes to Doulas and had my doubts at first. However those were quickly removed after 10 minutes with my son.

She has a magic touch about her and gives off such an amazing presence. The house felt calmer when she was here. 

I highly recommend Shaina and is a great addition to your post partem recovery.

Shaina is an incredible doula, and I am so happy we hired her! I was in labor for two and a half days, which was challenging physically and mentally. She spent many hours with us, at home and in the hospital. At home, she taught me to better cope with contractions and provided reassurance, and she helped my partner to more effectively support me and also get much needed rest. She helped me have an unmedicated birth and feel safe, supported, and empowered. I would absolutely hire her again and recommend her to friends! Also for anyone who has carrot fertility benefits, it was easy to get her services reimbursed. Thank you Shaina for every reassuring word, hour spent supporting us, late night phone call, loving touch, and encouraging guidance!

Shaina was our postpartum doula starting around 4 months and helped us so much with her support! She is knowledgeable about sleep, feeding, play, and generally supported our transition to life with a baby. She always went the extra mile for us, including bringing us a white noise machine and lullaby recordings to help with our baby's sleep. We were lucky to be connected with her and so grateful she was there supporting us during this early phase of our parenting journey.

Shaina was my doula for my first baby, and her presence gave me the MOST MAGICAL experience I could have hoped for. She took the time to really get to know me and my wants and needs in our prep work, which allowed her to show up in all of the right ways. I was in labour for 28 hours, and she was with me every step of the way, responding instantly to communications and staying with me in the hospital throughout the entire process. Her strength and wisdom kept me centered and allowed me to make decisions that I know I couldn't have done on my own, and she advocated for me every step of the way. I will be forever grateful for her work to make my birth a profoundly wonderful experience, and I cannot recommend her enough.
