After more than 20 years in healthcare administration, I understand how healthcare works. I am at my best working with clients who want a self directed experience. This can be more challenging in the hospital setting. I can help ensure your voice is heard.

Attends birth center births? Some Birth Centers
There are currently no freestanding birth centers in Duluth. Please contact me if you are planning a birth in Ashland, WI or Minneapolis, MN. My third baby was born at a freestanding birth center and I am a huge fan of this option.

Attends home births? Any Home Birth
I love working alongside our region's traditional and certified professional midwives in supporting empowering home birth experiences. I fiercely support your choices in electing for an instinctual, physiologic birth.

Relevant volunteer or advocacy work

I am an advocate for mental healthcare, especially in the most rural areas and for folks with the most limited access. I participate with the North Shore Mental Health Group, a collective of passionate community members out of Silver Bay, MN working to increase awareness and access.

Fee Details

I offer a package of 2-3 prenatal visits, unlimited texting and calling in business hours before 37 weeks, and 24/7 on call coverage (including texts) from 37 weeks until birth. I attend your birth and provide 2-3 postpartum visits. I work to ensure the most comfortable pregnancy possible, through education and referrals to supportive care. I provide continuous physical and emotional support during labor and stay with you for a few hours after the birth until you are settled. I check in after birth with visits to ensure you are fed & resting and to work on infant feeding. Your mental health -- and your partner's -- are important to me. I provide a space to talk about stress, trauma, or other issues, and I connect you to resources. Do you identify as neurodivergent, a highly sensitive person, or as a creative?
