Karin was our postpartum doula and I highly recommend her. She made sure we slept and had moments of relaxation during our steep learning curve as new parents, helped me overcome breastfeeding challenges, and taught us so much about caring for a newborn. Her straightforward, candid approach is exactly what we needed. She answered and anticipated so many of our questions with such a depth of knowledge and experience that we were able to skip many of the uncertainties and anxieties we were anticipating as first time parents. Karin is communicative, reliable, helpful, supportive, caring, and trustworthy, we’re so thankful for all she did for us!

Karin was so helpful for our family as we were navigating life with a 2 y/o and newborn twins. Her confidence and take-charge attitude was balanced by her quick understanding and respect for our parenting style. It was a relief to find someone we trusted so quickly to help unload the mental and physical burden. She has such a wealth of knowledge and experience and always had answers and suggestions for our multitude of questions. I'm not sure we could have survived the first few months without her!

I can't say enough good things about Karin! Karin is a wealth of knowledge about newborns, breastfeeding, and all things postpartum. I learned a lot from her. She went above and beyond to make herself available for any questions and needs, and became an integral part of my postpartum support. As a new mom, it can be hard to hand off your newborn to someone else but I felt immediately comfortable and confident knowing my baby was in Karin's hands. She's the best! Thank you Karin!

Karin is the most wonderful person to have in your life - but especially when you have a baby! Her breadth of knowledge and experience is unmatched, and her generous heart is always ready to give guidance and support. I wish all families should be so lucky as to have Karin during their postpartum phase, I have been so grateful for her presence.

I highly recommend Karin Sidhu as a post partum doula. After an unexpected c-section, her help several afternoons each week, March-June 2023, was invaluable in ensuring I was able to care for my own body with rest, as she met the needs of my new baby and kept the household running. Karin expertly offered reassurance, guidance, and encouragement to me as I navigated being a new mom -- she's a great person to have on your team! Her knowledge and experience with newborns put my mind at ease so often, and she brought a lot of cheer and consistency to our home during a time of many unknowns. One of the things I appreciated most about Karin (besides her amazing sense of organization and unfailing reliability) is that she seemed to really enjoy the time she spent with my new baby (holding him, taking him outside/for walks, playing music & engaging with him in many ways). Karin shared in my excitement about all that he was doing - even minor changes - which made me feel so good. Karin will be special to our family for a long time to come!!

Karin provided a wealth of experience, knowledge, support, and comfort when she joined our family 3 days after our first child. From the moment she walked into our home we knew we chose the right doula for us as her direct but supportive demeanor was evident. She was extremely helpful guiding me through the process of breast feeding and sleep schedules. Her knowledge about our baby’s continued development was extremely helpful as she was able to answer and guide me through all my “new mother” questions. But most importantly Karin would walk into our home and just know what was needed for both my child and me. She was so critical to our family that she continued to help us through the birth of our second child. Karin was like an extended member of our family, caring for our children as if they were her own.

Hello - Although it has been almost 18 years since the lovely Karin-Israel Sidhu was our family's doula for first, twins, and then, another little boy, it seems like yesterday. We are still in touch with Karin; she comes to our kids high-school graduation parties, as she was there when they were born. Karin is warm, friendly, cultural, funny, and strong. She is a no-nonsense German woman who has connections to the East Indian culture. She understands her place when there is an Indian grandma in the room! Karin took care of our boy/girl twins every other night for the first 10 weeks of their life. Eighteen months later and she did the same for their little brother. She was very caring and loving towards their biggest sister; our house had 4 kids under the age of 4 at one point. Karin is hands-on, and gets things done. When not taking care of a baby or two, she is folding laundry, and tidying the kitchen. She arrives on time and leaves on time. She makes herself at home. Karin can be strict; I was not always excited when she woke me up many times in the middle of the night to nurse those hungry twins, but at least, she managed the burping and diaper changes and I went back to sleep! Everyone needs a Karin in their life if it is possible. If you are lucky, you will know her until the kids get married so don't forget to send her an invitation!
