Hi, my name is Emily! I am a new Birth Doula passionate about women's reproductive and sexual health. Education-wise, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Wayne State College in 2016, located in Wayne, Nebraska, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado Anschutz College of Nursing in 2023. I moved to Denver three to four years ago, following college. I have a partner of six years and a four-year-old Golden Retriever/Labrador mix. Previous work includes being a medical scribe for two and a half years at an obstetrics and gynecology outpatient clinic (The Women's Health Group and Season's Midwifery and Birth Center). As a medical scribe, I observed many gynecological procedures and hospital births (both vaginal and c-section deliveries) out of North Suburban Medical Center. I have watched and provided support during hospital births as a student nurse, including vaginal births, assisted births, and cesarean sections. I am a labor and delivery RN. I completed the DONA International Approved Birth Doula Workshop and Lactation class in October 2023. You may view my certifications on my profile. I plan to take the Post-Partum Doula course in 2024. As of now, I am only a Birth Doula. I am a solo practice but will use a backup Birth Doula if needed. There is a great group of Doulas who are part of the Birth Doula Trainers and Volunteers Program that I may refer you to for backup if necessary. I am in the process of becoming certified nationally with DONA. I am not working with clients who have Medicaid, but I hope to sooner rather than later. My business, Delivering Dreams Doula Collective, will be certified by the Colorado Department of State and be an LLC by mid-2024. Please understand that my role as an RN and Doula are separate. I am here to provide emotional and physical support, not medical assistance or advice.

Fee Details

Starting as a new Doula, my prices will be lower than usual until I gain more experience and credentials. A deposit of $100 is expected within confirmation and is non-refundable. I will charge a flat fee of $500. The $100 deposit goes towards the $500 payment. It anticipated that I am paid in full before the birth.
