On 7/21/17 Kurita helped me push through a difficult birthing experience I came in to be induced due to decreased fetal movement and abnormal fetal heartbeat . This was my second pregnancy and I thought this was going to be the same experience as with my first .

During my admittance into the hospital I was assigned to a nurse . This nurse was very dismissive to my birth needs and request and she just would not listen to me. Kurita advocated for me throughout my stay in the hospital , she was by my side checking in on my every step of the way. She advocated for me when the nurse dismissed me after I told her my contractions were coming in to strong due to the Pitocin they had given me to induce my labor. It was Kurita who had the nurse slow down the Pitocin so I could catch my breath because I was in severe pain at this time. The nurse dismissed me when I told her I was in pain. It was Kurita who got the nurse to finally listen to me and get me pain medicine . at this time I was requesting an epidural. At this point I felt like I had to push my nurse again told me that’s it’s just labor and to stop whining and said that it's no way that I I can be in that much pain .Kurita advocates for me and had the nurse check me and when she checked me I was fully dilated and was ready to push .Kurita stayed by my side keeping me calm and helping me to push and focus on delivering my baby . She also kept my me and my spouse calm when our baby was born in respiratory distress due to the medication crossing the placenta .I could not have managed without her being there with me .

My experience with Kurita was so amazing. Soon as she received the phone call that I was in labor she headed over no hesitation getting to the hospital. That meant so much to me due to my daughter dad passing. I needed all the support I can get from having a baby & grieving at the same time . Kurita never left my side. She prayed, rubbed my back,and placed cold towels on my forehead & neck due to me being hot & uncomfortable. I was so irritated, hot & very emotional, but Kurita stuck through it with me. Kurita gave me all the support I needed, having my beautiful baby girl.
