Post a testimonial for Brandi Evans

My husband and I sought a postpartum doula for help with our son. As first time parents, we wanted someone to teach us newborn care, help with chores, and provide a supportive presence during such a delicate time. Brandi exceeded our expectations. She exudes a calming energy, and we immediately felt at ease with her. We were completely comfortable leaving our baby in her care, and she encouraged us to take much-needed time for ourselves while she looked after him. Whenever I speak of my postpartum experience, I always mention Brandi and how she made that time so special, precious, and surprisingly stress-free. My husband and I would recommend Brandi in a heartbeat to anyone seeking a postpartum doula.

In the fall of 2024, my wife and I welcomed our son into the world, and our 2-year-old daughter got a brother. Coming a bit ahead of schedule, the little guy required a lot of attention. We decided to look into getting a night nurse to help us with the transition. But we were ambivalent. It’s such a vulnerable situation: someone staying with you and your family at night, while you all sleep, taking care of your baby. We wondered how we were going to find someone that would make us comfortable enough to put us at ease. The answer: Brandi.
Brandi is one of those rare people who has the ability to make you feel that you are in good hands within moments of meeting her. She is calm, knowledgeable, confident, and loves babies and little kids. And she takes the time and care to get to get to know your baby before coming up with any suggestions for the issues you’re dealing with: “give me a night or two with the little guy,” she told me when I asked her what she thought about his extended crying after feeds, “then I can tell you what I learn.”
Some professionals will jump to give you an answer, to prove that they are smart or because they are overconfident, but never take the time to actually make observations before giving advice. Brandi, on the other hand, has the mark of a consummate professional: she doesn’t just give quick answers, or rely on favorite theories, but actually builds a relationship with you and your baby, so things are customized for your situation, while also being informed by her many years of experience (in the case of our son, he was, unlike his sister, a lot more gassy, and so ample gas drops along with more burping sessions helped).
My wife and I marveled at how much we came to like Brandi and trust her. We still text and send her photos all the time. She is the real deal, and worth every penny. If you are looking for a night nurse, look no further.

Brandi was the best decision we could've ever made as new parents! Not only did she guide us through my pregnancy (essentials to get, preparing for our little girls arrival) she was there every step of the way as we navigated our first month as new parents. She would always check in, offer advice, and share links and resources whenever I had questions. I told Brandi that she truly helped make us feel like new parents. She is such a calming presence, and I'll admit, I cried when she left us for another client.

Brandi was an absolute blessing during my postpartum journey. The postpartum period comes with so many challenges—exhaustion, recovery, and the overwhelming responsibility of caring for a newborn—but Brandi helped us navigate it all with so much love and support. She cared for our baby as if she were her own, showing so much love, patience, and attentiveness. We slept well knowing Laila was in great hands, and that peace of mind was truly priceless during such a demanding time. From day one, she made our home feel safe and comforting, giving us the reassurance we needed during such a vulnerable time. Her knowledge of newborn care is incredible—she guided us through everything from feeding and sleep routines to soothing techniques, making sure we felt confident every step of the way. I’ve already referred her to two of my friends because I know firsthand how much of a difference she makes for new families. I am beyond grateful to have had Brandi as part of my journey into motherhood, and I truly can’t recommend her enough.

Brandi was an absolute gift to our family. From the moment we met Brandi, we knew we were in the best hands. Her calm, reassuring presence and deep knowledge made all the difference during our postpartum journey. She not only cared for baby Ellie with incredible warmth and attentiveness but also provided invaluable support to us as new parents, helping us navigate everything from sleep routines to feeding challenges.
Brandi has a special way of making you feel truly supported—she anticipates needs before you even realize them, and her guidance is always thoughtful and judgment-free. Even the small things she taught us—like which diapers to buy, the best Snoo settings for boys vs. girls, and key lactation support tips —made a huge impact. As first-time parents, this kind of knowledge was invaluable. Knowing she was there gave us the peace of mind to rest and recharge, which was priceless in those early months.
We’ve already recommended Brandi to friends, and we will continue to do so without hesitation. She is not just an amazing doula but a truly wonderful person who brings so much care, expertise, and kindness into everything she does. Any family would be incredibly lucky to have her by their side!

Hi All!
A few words about our Doula Brandi Evans. We are very thankful to have been matched with her. She was a calming presence through a difficult time with our daughter being a 129day NICU grad after being a preemie at 27w4d.
We originally thought we would have her for the first month, but with the way our schedules worked out, we were able to spread our shifts across 3 months. We were thankful to have access to Brandi's advice and help during that time.
She was exactly what we needed for the transition home. She helped us setup various supply stations, give us guidance where needed like recommendations on how to soothe our baby or recommendations on products that would work better for us, establish a daily flow for what needs to get done and was flexible when things needed to be changed.
Also, I really appreciated that she always remembered to also look out not just for my baby, but for me as well with checking in on my mental health, and if I completed basic human functions with eating, sleeping, showering...I was grateful for having someone remember to put a hot meal in front of me along with a big beverage.
We miss her already!

We are SO grateful for Brandi! Brandi was a knowledgable and calming presence that helped us immensely in our first month as parents. I truly cannot imagine those weeks without her help. She helped us feel more confident and to get some much-needed sleep, which allowed us to be present with our newborn and enjoy those early days.
Brandi provided us with overnight doula services. I initially thought it might be uncomfortable to have someone we didn't previously know come into our apartment - but I immedidately felt calm and relaxed with Brandi. Each night, we would pepper her with all our new questions, and she provided so much knowledge. She showed us how to settle our little one's stomach, helped me with lactation / latching, and so much more. The most helpful thing was just being able to ask "Is this normal?" We absolutely trusted her with our newborn when we went to bed. She was gentle and loving with our baby.
We absolutely would recomend Brandi to family/friends. 10 out of 10 experience!!

My husband and I worked with Brandi after having our first child and we couldn't recommend her more. Her calm and soothing presence was the perfect balm for the bleary and intense moments of early parenthood. She is knowledgeable (without being dogmatic) and kind. With her help we managed to get our baby on a sleep schedule and found a rythm that made it possible for us to get the rest we needed to be able to wake up and go about our days. If we were to have a second child, I would reach out to Brandi to help us once again as she is such a lovely person and a wonderful night doula!

I absolutely recommend hiring Brandi. My husband and I worked with Brandi as our postpartum doula after the birth of our son. We knew we were in good hands from the first meeting. Brandi asked us what was important to us for our birth and postpartum period - it was key for us to have space for our new little family to build our own rhythm and routines, especially with family far away, and we were looking for help during the day (so we'd be awake to talk and learn) and a couple of overnights (for some sleep and relief.) Brandi fully understood and had great advice from the start. Even before I gave birth, Brandi was available via text to check in on how I was feeling (physically and emotionally) and to help consult on house setup and baby item prep / baby registry.
Two days after my son was born, we were back home and in the emotional throes of learning how to breastfeed and console a very hungry and frustrated little guy. From the minute Brandi walked in, she brought a calming presence, quick solutions, and a focus for caring for my son and for our (shot) nerves and exhausted bodies. Within minutes, the baby was quiet, eating some expressed colostrum and formula, and then fast asleep; and we were so relieved. Over the next few weeks, Brandi became a part of the team, allowing us to take naps and recover, maintaining the apartment, helping us do the scary stuff like nail trimming and first bath, consulting on house setup, and - perhaps most importantly - lending a calm, kind ear. The couple overnights were helpful so we could reset, while knowing the little guy was in loving hands. We still trade texts and photos as he's growing and Brandi will probably always be part of our team in a special way moving forward!

If you're reading this: book Brandi. If you need more details: I worked with Brandi in the fall of 2023 as both a night nurse and postpartum doula. We were so grateful for her expertise in both areas; thanks to her my husband and I actually got some sleep! My son arrived three weeks early and Brandi was a bright spot in a very chaotic and stressful time. She has the absolute best energy: she's warm, loving, and cared for the whole family (not just baby!). She also helped us with loads of tasks around the house, which was absolutely crucial as we got used to life with our new baby. She was not hesitant to do anything we needed help with, from helping to set up the nursery to dropping off laundry. Not only is Brandi a kind and loving presence but she is tremendously prompt and professional in all of her communications- something my husband and I really appreciated. I can't recommend working with her enough!

We hired Brandi as our Doula and she was wonderful. Professional, supportive, trustworthy and so warm to have in our home. She was so helpful at answering questions and coming up with ideas. I knew my baby was always safe and I would highly reccomend Brandi as a Doula.

I cannot recommend Brandi enough! She was an absolute godsend throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. From the first time we met, she made me feel incredibly comfortable and heard. She truly listened to my hopes and fears and helped me craft a birth plan that was tailored to my specific needs.
During labor, she was a calm and reassuring presence. She helped my husband and I navigate through each contraction and made sure that we were both as comfortable as possible. Her expertise and suggestions for pain management were invaluable.
After the birth of my baby, she continued to provide support and guidance through the postpartum period. She checked in on me regularly and helped me navigate some of the challenges that came with breastfeeding and adjusting to life with a newborn.
I cannot imagine going through my pregnancy and birth journey without the support of my amazing doula. She is truly a gift to any family lucky enough to work with her.

Brandi, was such a great doula for our family. After birth is such an adjustment for first time parents. She was the first person I let stay with my daughter for a much needed night out. After that experience I recommend her as a birth doula a post parting doula because of the little things.

I have had the pleasure of working with Brandi Evans my doula for my youngest child. She offers personalized support for any of your needs before, during and after your birth. She made my family and I feel extremely comfortable and offered non judgmental, open communication with all of our concerns. I would highly recommend Brandi to help make your birth and postpartum care as smooth and supportive as it can be.

Brandi served as my doula for all three of my children, providing unwavering support during both the birthing process and postpartum period. Her encouragement and assistance were invaluable, and her empathetic and non-judgmental approach was deeply appreciated. Despite being a seasoned mother of three, I could not have navigated these experiences without Brandi's guidance. Additionally, her expertise in newborn care is exceptional, as she possesses a unique ability to soothe and care for infants. In my opinion, her services are worth every penny, and I am immensely grateful for her unwavering support.
