Chanel was a main contributor to how well my birth went. She made me wish I had one for my previous 2 births. She was there for me the entire pregnancy and helped me talk through a lot of major choices that had to be made during it. As well as some of the anxiety as well that came up. She has so many good tips and resources that she is happy to give. When it was time for the baby to come she was able to meet my mother and I at the hospital and help communicate my wishes when myself or my mother was unable. She also gives amazing hip squeezes and counterpressure. I would have given birth with or without of course, but she made it more enjoyable and how I envisioned it to be.

Chanel was a wonderful, kind, energetic, fresh addition to my birth team! This was my third home-birth and I hadn't had a Doula prior, but Chanel definitely added something that was missing from my previous experiences.

Chanel listened to my unique story and needs and quickly and positively adapted her services. She was always available (in-person/day/night or by text), kept up with my ever-changing plan, and, maintained professionalism the entire time. She added some lovely personalized touches that made me feel truly cared for and supported.

When I gave birth it was back during Covid restrictions and sadly Chanel couldn’t attend my hospital birth in person.

Oh but that didn’t stop her from helping me become as prepared and informed as possible. She was receptive to my individual needs and questions, and spent so much time discussing birth with me and spitting stats (that she knew would bring me comfort)
Though Chanel wasn’t there in person I could hear her comments in my head and cheering me on.
She even came to the hospital to bring us food and congratulate us! (Dropped food off to my husband at the door as visitors weren’t allowed)

I would strongly recommend a doula for any birthing woman and Chanel is an incredible woman for the job! I will definitely be trying to get in with Chanel again for any future pregnancies!

I would recommend Chanel to anyone looking for a Doula; she embodies care, compassion, support, and knowledge in a way that firmly set me, my partner, and my baby up for a successful birth. From the moment my partner and I first sat down with her, we knew she would be a great match for us as she  shared in our excitement and joy, and fully respected our stances and viewpoints. 

I greatly desired a natural, physiological birth and she supported me in this decision. Even when my labor failed to progress the way I had hoped it would, Chanel encouraged me to stay at peace and provided space for my partner and I to continue making calm and intentional decisions. After birth, I hemorrhaged and lost a lot of blood; even then, we were all able to remain peaceful and I had a plan already in place to tackle this complication thanks to Chanel's thorough help in creating a birth plan that explored all possibilities. When my baby had to go to the nicu shortly after birth, Chanel made sure to stay in the loop and focused on supporting both me and my baby through that difficult time. At the end of the day I was still able to have the physiological, unmedicated birth I had hoped for with minimal interventions while also maintaining safety and space for quick adaptations. 

With Chanel you will feel empowered to have the pregnancy and birth you desire and deserve, whatever that looks like for you. She will make sure you have the tools and confidence in place to face anything expected and unexpected that crosses your path along your birth journey. Both my partner and I are grateful for her guidance and feel that she encouraged a loving and peaceful birth experience for all of us.

I strongly recommend Chanel if you are looking for a Doula. During our time working with her she was extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and she helped me a lot with navigating all the emotions that comes with the end of pregnancy.

We ended up having a planned c section due to this being my second breech baby and she was so helpful every step of the way from trying to flip baby to ultimately being another support person in the OR alongside my husband. Chanel helped us feel calm and well taken care of throughout my birth & I feel very grateful for her!
