Currently approved to receive payments from the following programs:
2 years and 30 births attended
1 years and 5 families served
Type of practice: Solo practice
Clients per month: 2 to 4 births and 2 to 3 postpartum families
Postpartum limits/restrictions: While tailoring postpartum care to the individual needs of each family, it is my heart and joy to meet each family where they are at, offering support emotionally and physically. This sometimes is a listening ear, breakfast in bed and gentle foot rub for mom, while other times it is caring for baby overnight as mom and dad sleep a little deeper knowing little one is watched and safe while they rest. Whether providing care day or night I am always glad and available to assist in every way that I can with light housekeeping, dishes, laundry, extra love and time for older siblings or even prepping a meal into the crock pot for later.

Janelle was such a blessing to our family! She has such wonderful calm energy- she took wonderful care of our baby so that I could get some rest during the postpartum period! She also helped fold our mountain of laundry several times, and was so sweet to our toddler. She truly is a person that makes you feel so comfortable, and has such a soothing presence.

Janelle was the perfect addition to our birth team! My midwife urged me to get a doula as I was having an unmedicated Home birth and this was my first one. I was hesitant for the longest time as we financially were stretched already. At 36 weeks we interviewed and welcomed Janelle to the team, I’m so glad we did cause I truly don’t think I could’ve done it without her! I truly had the most incredible experience because Janelle was constantly giving me suggestions to help speed up the progression of my labor. I was very communicative with her throughout the whole process and she listened to my cues. I mentioned I was throwing up with my contractions and she decided it was time for her to come at that point. I’m so glad she did cause by the time she got there I needed her support and shortly after so did my husband. He got queasy for a moment and had to take a seat in the other room, meanwhile Janelle stepped in to comfort me while he gathered himself together again and was able to participate the remainder of the labor and delivery with confidence and excitement! Janelle also captured the most beautiful moments during the birth of our son. I’ll forever be grateful for her and the comfort she brought us through the whole process. This was her first home birth she attended and you would’ve never known! Thank you Janelle for being the woman you are.

Janelle was such a blessing to have through my pregnancy and birth. She was not only very supportive of my birth plan, but helped me navigate through things when they turned out differently then expected. She consistently provided educational resources so I could make informed choices, and empowered me to advocate for the birth I wanted. She was very responsive, and all of her efforts were very apparent. She is amazing and I absolutely recommend her services, no matter the type of birth you are having!

Janelle played such a pivotal role in bringing our first child into the world. Her patience, kindness, knowledge and humble spirit made us feel at ease. Because of her support via text and in person, I felt comfortable laboring mostly at home which brought us so much peace! I can’t overstate how big it was for us to be able to text questions the week of my labor and get a sense of what was normal, etc. During labor, I was so grateful for how she held space for my husband to be my partner throughout, offering guidance and suggestions without ever overstepping. Somehow Janelle knew exactly what would be helpful in each moment and created so much safety for us. She has a huge heart that you will feel the second you meet her!! She will bring encouragement and hold belief in your vision for your birthing experience. Highly recommend having her in your corner!!

I loved every part of having Janelle as my doula! She was very attentive to my needs from early morning hours to staying after birth to make sure I was settled and comfortable. She coached my breathing, helped with positions and definitely relieved stress. A five-star rating for sure!"
