My husband and I were so glad to have had Janelle's support and guidance through the birth of our daughter. Janelle is very knowledgeable and kind and helped provide us with the information we needed to be able to feel confident in the birth plan we created. Additionally, she has such a kind voice that I knew would be a comfort through labor. My labor started in the evening and we had Janelle meet us at the hospital where she stayed with us all night through my un-medicated birth. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a doula, and we hope to use her services again in the future!

Janelle is a phenomenal doula who I would highly recommend to anyone looking to feel supported and encouraged throughout their pregnancy and birthing experience. We had a high-risk pregnancy with quite a few challenges and scary moments along the way. In addition to just outstanding knowledge, research and resources Janelle provides, she is also always in your corner to help navigate decisions, teach you how to advocate and make well-informed decisions, and advocate for you when needed. We had three pre-birth meetings where she led discussion through birth plans, preferences and unexpected situation preparations. She leads with encouragement and support, without judgement or shame. She truly helped us prepare for the moments we hoped wouldn’t happen, but did and thankfully were prepared for. I could go on and on, but in the end Janelle went above and beyond in being our partner through the entire experience, caring for us and walking through it all day by day alongside us. She worked so well with our medical team and hospitals, where she is authorized to participate at!

Janelle was great. She helped me see that I was in control of my birthing experience. I had been uncomfortable with my current providers. After listening to her advice, I ended up switching hospitals and providers to somewhere that would be much more supportive of my birth plan. This ended up being such a great experience! I had a beautiful birth and I am so glad I followed her advice.

My husband and I hired Janelle as our birth Doulla to help us though the birth of our first child. We are so thankful! Janelle met with us 3 times in our home prior to her birth and made sure we were thoroughly prepared and educated to go though the labor process. We had a lot of questions and she was able to provide not only strong, evidence based recommendations but also professional experience when providing answers. We was always available to us during my pregnancy and helped me advocate for myself during doctors appointments. She joined us at the hospital our induction and was a great asset when helping coach through contractions, giving advice to my husband as well. She was able to help with various positions to help the baby get into optimal position even after an epidural. I am so grateful to her! I cannot recommend her enough! She was professional, compassionate and really goes above and beyond!

As first-time parents, we hired Janelle as our doula when I was 28 weeks pregnant. We met with her a couple of times before giving birth, and she guided us through what to expect during the birth process. My husband and I truly wouldn’t have been as prepared without her support.

When I went into active labor, Janelle was by my side in the hospital. Since I was induced, we didn’t need to call her at home, but at the hospital she coached me through breathing techniques and helped me stay calm and focused. She remained with us until our daughter was born, and her presence made all the difference.

I honestly don’t know what we would have done without her, and we’re so grateful for her care and guidance during this important time.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better doula than Janelle. She was with us for both the birth and postpartum period, and I don’t know how we would’ve done it without her.

During labor, she was calm, steady, and totally tuned in to what we needed—even when we didn’t know what that was. She helped us feel more confident, more in control, and way less scared. Her support made such a difference in how everything unfolded.

Once we were home, she continued to be amazing. Whether it was helping with baby care, answering a million questions, or just making sure I had time to shower and rest—she was always thoughtful and reassuring. It never felt like she was just doing a job; it felt like she really cared.

She’s warm, knowledgeable, and just the kind of person you want around during such a big life change. We’re so grateful to her and would recommend her to anyone expecting a baby!

Janelle cared for our family after the birth of our third child in December of 2024. She truly has a heart to serve and has a very calm, loving presence about her. She made sure to check in on how my baby and I were doing and happily performed any tasks we needed help with each shift. She is able to anticipate and fill needs without even being asked as well. Janelle is also wonderful with older children so she would be a great choice if sibling care is something you are looking for. Our kids still talk about how much fun they had with Miss Nelle and ask about her months later! She was a huge blessing to our family in the postpartum season and I would highly recommend her.

My husband and I found Janelle just a couple weeks before our baby's due date, and we are so glad we did! Given that we were so close to my due date, we were a little concerned about not being able to find a good doula that would align with our views and advocate for our wishes for birth. Janelle was the perfect fit from the start! She was very accommodating and set up a prenatal appointment with us as soon as possible. During the appointment, she listened attentively to our vision for labor and provided us with a wealth of information. She was supportive by text and phone call in the weeks leading up to labor, which was beneficial as well. When it came time for delivery day, Janelle was there when we needed her. I liked the fact that she was open to being with us as much or as little as we felt we needed, especially during early labor. When labor ramped up for me, Janelle stayed calm and provided support continuously. We delivered at a hospital and I wanted to try to deliver unmedicated. Looking back, there is no way my husband and I could have done it without Janelle's support. I was able to deliver my baby without an epidural just as I had envisioned because of the tips, tricks and tools Janelle provided for us. Not only was she a huge asset for labor and delivery, but Janelle also has shared some great resources with us after our baby's birth. We have come into contact with some great doctors and lactation consultants because of Janelle. We highly recommend her services and would choose her for any future births over and over again! Janelle is kind-hearted, personable, knowledgeable, and incredibly talented. During our prenatal visits, she provided us with invaluable information that helped me feel more prepared for the birth process. Janelle was such a huge part in welcoming our first baby Earthside. She helped us feel so calm during pregnancy and gave us all of the information we could've asked for to help us make our decisions with our birth. When I called her after my water broke, before labor started, she immediately made me feel excited that we'd be meeting my little baby soon! She rushed to my side as soon as we called letting her know contractions ramped up and stayed right by my side while I labored the entire night. She held my hands as baby was finally making her entrance into the world. Her voice calmed me during labor and reminded me how to breathe to ease contractions. Janelle provided an overall calmness to the entire experience, it was beautiful. We couldn't be happier to have had her for our prenatal, homebirth, and postpartum journey. 10/10 definitely recommend Janelle for any doula needs!

Janelle was such a blessing to our family! She has such wonderful calm energy- she took wonderful care of our baby so that I could get some rest during the postpartum period! Janelle was the perfect addition to our birth team! My midwife urged me to get a doula as I was having an unmedicated Home birth and this was my first one. I was hesitant for the longest time as we financially were stretched already. At 36 weeks we interviewed and welcomed Janelle to the team, I’m so glad we did cause I truly don’t think I could’ve done it without her! I truly had the most incredible experience because Janelle was constantly giving me suggestions to help speed up the progression of my labor. I was very communicative with her throughout the whole process and she listened to my cues. I mentioned I was throwing up with my contractions and she decided it was time for her to come at that point. I’m so glad she did cause by the time she got there I needed her support and shortly after so did my husband. He got queasy for a moment and had to take a seat in the other room, meanwhile Janelle stepped in to comfort me while he gathered himself together again and was able to participate the remainder of the labor and delivery with confidence and excitement! Janelle also captured the most beautiful moments during the birth of our son. I’ll forever be grateful for her and the comfort she brought us through the whole process. This was her first home birth she attended and you would’ve never known! Thank you Janelle for being the woman you are.

Janelle played such a pivotal role in bringing our first child into the world. Her patience, kindness, knowledge and humble spirit made us feel at ease. Because of her support via text and in person, I felt comfortable laboring mostly at home which brought us so much peace! I can’t overstate how big it was for us to be able to text questions the week of my labor and get a sense of what was normal, etc. During labor, I was so grateful for how she held space for my husband to be my partner throughout, offering guidance and suggestions without ever overstepping. Somehow Janelle knew exactly what would be helpful in each moment and created so much safety for us. She has a huge heart that you will feel the second you meet her!! She will bring encouragement and hold belief in your vision for your birthing experience. Highly recommend having her in your corner!!

I loved every part of having Janelle as my doula! She was very attentive to my needs from early morning hours to staying after birth to make sure I was settled and comfortable. She coached my breathing, helped with positions and definitely relieved stress. A five-star rating for sure!"
