Alex was our birth doula and we couldn't be happier with the experience. We didn't get the opportunity to meet her ahead of time (due to our baby arriving early), but any nervousness quickly disappeared when she arrived and quickly sprung into action. Not only did Alex bring a calming presence throughout the labor process, she supported, advocated and helped us liase with medical staff through some difficult decisions until we were able to safely deliver our beautiful baby.

All in all, you will not be disappointed with Alex in your corner. We would not hesitate to reach out to her again.

Alex was my doula's back-up doula. This was my second labor and it took some time to labor naturally. Due to the length of my labor my doula called Alex in. I was so nervous to have someone I hadn't met assist me in my labor. When she first came in I was so nervous but her postivity and calm demeanor helped put me at ease. She did such a great job attending to me both physically and emotionally. She made sure I was drinking water throughout my labor and was whispering encouraging words and phrases to me. Just the act of making sure I was drinking water made me feel so looked after. Her touch was comforting and really brought me relief. Her words of encouragement were so kind and helped me to believe I could do this. Such a good labor advocate and if I had to do again I would be happy to have Alex there to assist. She was amazing!

Alex was more than any expecting mama could ask for. Her support was physical and emotional as my labor progressed. Her hip squeezes were the only relief from my mounting contractions and her reassurances a great comfort when I began to lose my energy and confidence. From snacks (for my comfort) to twinkle lights (to give my hospital room a more soothing ambiance) she really brought it all, and then some. I've never felt so supported in my life, and I'm so grateful for the birthing experience she fostered. I highly recommend Alex for anyone looking for that extra level of compassionate care in a doula.

Alex really helped to make our labor the most pleasant experience we could possibly have! Prior to birth we met and reviewed our birth plan, any details or questions my husband and I had. She sent us tons of information in preparation for birth. The day of she set such a peaceful mood in the delivery room with beautiful lights, had my birth plan taped around the room and memorized (which was great for when I was being asked questions being stitched up afterward and barely thinking straight). She was so supportive, rubbing my back with pressure, changing my position, literally giving me my water, snacks, set up a speaker for my music. She stayed late with me and helped me in the bathroom my first time that night. Through all of that she remained just as calm, warm, and bubbly as we knew her to be! I can't recommend her enough; I'm beyond thankful we had her with us to share this experience. And she came to our home for a postpartum check two weeks later, also! She offered to cook, clean, run errands. Alex is absolutely amazing and I hope she knows I'll be contacting her if and when I have another baby!
