Mora was an exceptional Doula with amazing experience and insight to help me bring my second baby into the world. Mora is a dear friend of mine from college, which made choosing her as my Doula all the more special (and easy). I knew I wanted her support and her presence in the room. Despite our history, I did not know just how comforting and knowledgeable she would be. Since this was not my first baby (and I am a Registered Nurse), it was not a NEED for me to obtain a doula, but a preference. That said, I believe every woman should have a team of caring, intelligent, compassionate providers on their birthing team, and should never forego the help of a Doula, if able. Mora was skilled at talking with the providers when I felt too timid to do so and ensured I had all of the appropriate comfort measures in the heat of my labor. My son is extremely chill and vastly different from my daughter and I think a lot of that has to do with how peacefully he was brought into this world! And that would not have been possible without Mora! I would glowingly recommend her to anyone and know she is going to help so many moms/babies/families! I couldn't be more proud to call her my friend and Doula!

Moradeyo Adeyi was instrumental in assisting us before our son's birthday, on the day, and after. We had our first kid last month, and naturally we had many questions and concerns in the months leading up to his due date. When we were interviewing doulas, Moradeyo stood out to us because in addition to being knowledgeable, professional, and personable, she had a policy that was unique: she wanted to share a meal with us many weeks before accompanying us at a prenatal visit. Moradeyo came to our apartment for dinner. We had a great time and really bonded. Once it was time to meet her at the hospital, we were ready to labor together having already grown comfortable and acquainted with each other. Labor for us was not exactly easy, and Moradeyo stood with us day and night and another day. In the hospital, Moradeyo did so much, but perhaps most important was her massage therapy which allowed my wife to labor for as long as she did. After our son was born, Moradeyo visited our apartment once again. This time we benefitted more from her background as a therapist as she helped us process the birth and navigate our new postpartum world. Moradeyo was steadfast, positive, and kind every step of the way. We hope to work with her again someday.

I am a first time, mom with, lots of childhood trauma and anxiety. Stepping into the role as a mom to be, was very triggering, and Mora helped me navigate that during my pregnancy even when things did not go as expected, she help me stay informed and keep above water, she was my saving grace now that I am in the fourth trimester or postpartum. She's one of the few people in my life who's taking the time to ask me how I am doing. My life has changed completely and I feel lost in the transition, but she help me talk things through and feel seen , I really appreciate everything you've done for me throughout this amazing journey. I can honestly say that I am better because I had you in my circle and I will always be appreciative to you for helping me navigate this crazy change. I would always encourage other women to get a Doula  because I know that my daughter will thank me for it in the future.

Moradeyo is a calming force. She brings her expertise as a psychotherapist and knowledge in maternal health and health equity to the doula practice, and it was definitely felt throughout the experience. She helped me feel secure in my birth plan; knowing I had an advocate during the labor experience helped me stay strong and focus on laboring instead of questioning every decision. She also provided a solid advocate to help my partner navigate his role in the process and helped keep him calm during what would have felt like stressful moments otherwise. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing birth experience and Mora was a big part of making this happen. I went back and forth over several months determining whether I wanted a doula. I ultimately made the decision to get one in my third trimester because I wanted an additional support person not only for myself but also my husband.

Mora was professional every step of the way, answered questions promptly and proactively provided resources and references such as packing lists for husbands and post-partum doulas who could create placenta pills. Mora road with us to the hospital and so was there from the very beginning. She was caring, attentive and supportive. Mora was the first to rouse whenever I needed anything. She was there to walk me to the restroom, rub and massage my back and keep the tunes going as I tried to make it through contractions. She also took photos that I will forever cherish. Most importantly she spoke words of encouragement and life to me when I was in my most vulnerable state.

I also appreciated that Mora communicated and engaged based on my communication style. I never felt overwhelmed nor underwhelmed by her engagement. It was just right, and I appreciated that Mora was able to adapt as needed.

If you are considering hiring Mora as your doula, then I highly recommend it.

I started my work with Moradeyo after my second pregnancy loss last year. She helped me process my grief and get mentally ready for pregnancy again. I got pregnant again shortly after starting our work and recently gave birth to our perfect little girl. I can't say enough about the space that Moradeyo held for me throughout the period of grief and my entire pregnancy all the way up to my birth and postpartum. I always looked forward to our meetings and felt really empowered and held. She always asked the right questions, gave me powerful resources, and just overall supported me in a way that I wouldn't trade for the world. If you are pregnant, or on the road to motherhood, I would truly recommend working with Moradeyo in any capacity you can for doula work. She is in her lane and purpose and there's no doubt that she is highly skilled at the role she plays in supporting mothers in all stages of their journeys. I'm so grateful I had her in my corner during this last year and if/when I decide to do this again she will be the first person I call to be on my team.
