Post a testimonial for Weronika Walker

Weronika was everything I hoped for in a doula and more. As a first time mom I really wanted someone who was knowledgeable, confident and had a strength I could rely on. Weronika had this in spades. Magically, she also embodied all the softness of a natural caregiver. She was phenomenal at anticipating my needs and making sure I was well cared for (physically and emotionally) during my birth process. My partner and I have since had many conversations cantering around how grateful we are that we chose Weronika to be our doula. I cannot recommend her more highly whether you are having a home, clinic or hospital birth.

Weronika helped my wife and I through the birth of our daughter. On the other side of that now, I can't image doing it without her. She is incredibly kind, caring and compassionate. Before the birth she visited our home several times to help us prepare and plan. She was flexible when our due date was moved up because of complications, and then spent 14 hours at the hospital with us. Finally she visited afterwards to make sure we were setting in with no problems. Everyone giving birth should have a Weronika!

My wife and I began working with Weronika as a labour and birth doula in the third trimester of pregnancy with our son. Weronika was one of two doulas working together to support our pregnancy during the prenatal period, and was the doula who was present for the support of his birth and postpartum visit.
As first-time parents we appreciated her experience in advising us and answering questions as we considered options for our birth plan and she offered excellent advice in terms of questions to bring up with our other care providers. As we live a fair distance from our parents and other immediate family, we appreciated being able to have Weronika as a support person in the birthing suite.
Weronika provided prompt and clear communication whenever we sought guidance with questions as our due date approached. When it was time to attend the birth, she arrived promptly and was well-prepared to support my wife and me as the labour process unfolded. After our son's arrival, she ensured we were settled into our recovery room with the baby before she left, and was in frequent contact in the following days to check on how we were doing. Our postpartum visit included a long and detailed chat debriefing the birth experience, and we chose to have her assist us with his first bath at home during that visit.
Our experience with Weronika was incredibly positive and we highly recommend her.

Weronika was absolutely amazing! From the first time we met, she was so attentive and knowledgeable- asking all the questions to make sure she got to know us and what our wants were. She respected our religious beliefs and made sure to accommodate according to that.
She knew my birth plan(s) and flexibility around it making sure that I was aware of any and all alternatives in case things did not go the way I hoped.
when it came down to my actual labour, she was there EVERY step of the way. She helped me physically and emotionally when I laboured unmedicated and medicated. I laboured for 30+ hours! And during that time, she was completely selfless, letting my mom and husband sleep, while only taking one small nap. Although I decided to use pain relief for labour, there were still some complications- she reminded me of my strength and helped calm my stress and nerves so that my husband and I could make the needed decisions for any medical interventions. My husband and I really could not have done it without her. The emotional and physical support, no matter what the birth plan is, is absolutely needed and I'm extremely grateful she was a part of my team. Thank you so much!
