I appreciate Sierra having multiple packages and options. I’m fairly low maintenance when in labor and just wanted to have a doula at my birth, which happens to be one of her options. However, She has gone above and beyond my expectations to make sure she knows me and took the time to meet my midwife and check in with me regularly leading up to my due date. She sent me exercises and stretches which I really appreciate. During labor Sierra asked what time of music I enjoy and just turned on a mix in the back ground which I never had during my previous labors and didn't realize how helpfull it would be to me. This was my 3rd home birth and Sierra helped add a level of calm that I really appreciated.

Sierra is so sweet, thoughtful, dependable and knowledgeable! She took time to go through the hard things with me when I was pregnant ( I had a high risk pregnancy) and she came and helped during postpartum! It was so nice to have her company to walk and talk and just hang out. She was able to help with baby so I could get a couple things done! She works hard to grow as a doula and educate herself in all things birth and I'm so thankful for her.

I had a c section for my first pregnancy so I really wanted a doula to help me have a successful VBAC. If it wasn’t for the village doula and my boyfriend I wouldn’t have been able to do it. They helped me successfully get through every contraction by helping me find a comfortable position, giving me a comb to put in my hand, rubbing my back, telling me where I was at in my contraction and so forth. She is very knowledgeable and easy going. She also helped me with my babies first latch and then helped me a month later with getting my baby to latch better. If you are looking for a doula I definitely recommend her

When I first met Sierra I did not know what to expect as I never heard of a doula abs this was my first pregnancy. From the moment I met her she was so kind, encouraging and funny! She always kept in touch to check in with me, encores me to ask questions and never made me feel bad for the decisions I made for my birth. During my birth she was there to make sure I was comfortable and set up the atmosphere in the room to make it a safe and calm space for me. I honestly didn't know how comfortable she could make a hospital room since it was always bright and nurses coming in to check on me every couple of hours, but she made that hospital room feel cozy and less intimidating which is important since I was going to be doing the most strenuous physical labor in my life. I called her to come back when my water broke and she was there very fast! During my labor process she kept me company, told me positive affirmations and made me feel confident in my ability to birth a human! She was very helpful with pain management, helping me move to positions to progress my labor, took pictures so I can remember my birth and advocated for me when I had questions. She is someone you would want when you  are going through this difficult yet wonderful time. She made my birth less scary and I believe that because of her I was able to gain the confidence and control I needed to get through this. I highly encourage Sierra as your doula as you will not regret your time with her for a second!

Sierra was my first actual doula experience. This was my 3rd baby and after my 1st was a c-section and my 2nd was a successful vaginal. I still felt like something was missing and definitely felt like even though it was successful that I wasn't able to fully listen to my body. Now here we are 2 years later, welcoming our third baby into this world and this time with Sierra as another huge form of support for me. After going in to get checked, it was confirmed that my water broke and in turn ment being admitted into the hospital. Sierra was super understanding and told me to let her know when I felt that I would need her. After about 3.5 hours of getting started on pitocin, my contractions were getting to the point I wasn't able to speak and decided this is where I would be needing her. She was there almost 30 minutes or less later and ready to step in and help with my pain management! I have never felt so thankful for someone else being able to voice for me what I was wanting and being another form of support. From the moment she got there, it was like baby knew and labor picked up fast and strong. I did get to a point where I knew I couldn't handle the pain and she had me try a couple things to help release some of it during contractions. She was amazing! The support she offered was beyond incredible. She took tons of birthing pictures and even got intimate moments between me and my spouse. I will forever cherish her with being there for us after we welcomed our baby girl. I also found it really helpful that as a doula she offers so much more after you have baby. During our first postpartum visit, I learned she helps with light housework, helping with meals, and even just caring for baby so I could get in a much needed shower for myself. It was a definite 10/10 experience and hope that when we decide to have another that hopefully we can share it again with her!
