We cannot recommend Vanessa from Birth Mstters highly enough. From the moment we began our journey into parenthood, she was a steady source of knowledge, reassurance, and genuine care. She has an incredible ability to bring calm to the most intense and uncertain moments, and she was exactly the kind of person we wanted by our side during labour.
Throughout the hardest parts of labour, her presence was grounding, supportive, and unwavering. She knew when to offer encouragement, when to provide practical guidance, and when to simply be a calm presence in the room. Because of her support, I felt empowered, informed, and cared for every step of the way. She played a huge role in helping me have such a positive and memorable birth experience.

What also stood out was how much she cares for both parents. She made sure my partner felt confident, included, and equipped to be the best possible support person throughout the process. Her ability to support the whole team made such a difference.

If you are looking for someone compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly exceptional at what they do, Vanessa is the person you want on your team. We are so grateful for everything she did for our family.

My experience with this Doula service in Kamloops BC was amazing. I attended the prenatal classes with Vanessa Mack until right before I was due. I got to the hospital after laboring at home and Vanessa was the most amazing support. I planned on a natural delivery and ended up without medication at all. So Vanessa knew the signs and allowed me to follow my own body's guidance while she gave me tips/tricks to manage the pain. I had my son on Valentines Day with my boyfriend and Vanessa by my side guiding me through the phases of giving birth. It was the most beautiful experience. I also received a photo album from Vanessa that was wonderfully put together and included gorgeous photos that I didnt expect to be able to have. Thank you Vanessa for your experience and ability to kindly guide me through nonmedicated birth so quickly and effortlessly. I would definitely use this service again when I have another pregnancy. Thank you

I was fortunate enough to receive continuous guidance & support from Vanessa throughout my first pregnancy. She was always there to answer our questions, know our choices, reassure both my partner and myself in times of worry and help us to understand the journey into parenthood. Kayla was also a bonus support through our journey ensuring we felt more at ease with our decisions or questions and be prepared for when the time came to bring our son into this world. Both very lovely, welcoming, well experienced ladies and a pleasure to work with, highly recommend their services to anyone looking for additional support with the growing of your family. I highly recommend Vanessa as a doula. I had the privilege of having her co-teach my prenatal and baby class at Birth Matters and her calm presence, wisdom, experience and deep care were invaluable to us in our birth story. We then were gifted hours by family to have Vanessa as a postpartum doula for a few weeks after our son was born and it was a game changer. She would arrive, hold my son, do my dishes, fold laundry and I got to sleep the entire time! Some of the best sleep I have had in months because I knew my son was in the best hands. Her care and encouragement and practical help is one of the best gifts I was given! I could not recommend her more highly! Also, if you are looking for a way to support a friend who is giving birth soon or recently given birth I highly recommend gifting them hours with Vanessa as a postpartum doula.

To say that having Vanessa as our doula  was the best thing we could have done for our birth would be a huge understatement. It did not take long to connect with Vanessa and see her passion, care, and strength as a doula. To have Vanessa’s calm reassurance, encouragement and guidance through a difficult birth was an incredible gift to both me and my husband. She was thoughtful and kind , assuring that we were both well looked after throughout the delivery process. She took the time afterwards to debrief some big emotions with me and continues to make sure we feel supported and cared for in postpartum. Vanessa is a treasure and we can’t recommend her enough!

Vanessa is extremely helpful. I recommend her to any family needing assistance during the post partum period. Having help during this time is one of the best gifts you can give yourself to enjoy your family and new baby.
