Without Gen, I would have had a hard time after delivery my twnins.

Gen always provided me with appropriate help. She always spoke warmly to me so that I wouldn't be lonely. Depression is the biggest risk for postpartum women, but with Genn, you don't have to worry about that.

Genn provided childcare supplies like an older sister who had grown up with me for a long time. Her help is neither burdensome nor lacking. If someone were to ask me how many points out of 100 I would give to Genn, I would give it 200.

Actually, I think that score is not enough. The day I left the United States, Genn asked me if there was anything else she could do to help. I told Genn that I wanted to go to my home country with her.

I feel lucky to have met her. If I have another child, I will definitely have her with me.

My time with Gen was wonderful. She was an excellent doula, and provided a lot of wisdom and knowledge at a time where she was extremely needed.

What I loved about Gen was that she was non-judgmental and provided ease in a variety of ways. Sometimes if my day required more sleep, she would encourage me to go ahead and sleep while she watched my babies.

There were other times where she would come over, and I would simply rant to her about all the new Mom emotions I was feeling. She helped me become more confident in my role as a caretaker, and she helped calm my new parenthood anxieties.

I can't recommend her enough! She was fantastic, and she revolutionized my day-to-day experiences when everything was still so fresh and nerve-racking.

Back in 2019, I went through a rough pregnancy. Our baby was colicky. I had no idea how to take care him or myself as a first time mom. I thought those sleepless nights and stressful moments would only last for a short time.

However, I was wrong.

Not getting sleep or time to recover from delivery, I quickly went into a deep postpartum depression. That was the darkest place that I would never want to be back, and the recovery took over a year and half.
Most women who had postpartum depression before will end up having it again. So, as soon as we found out we would have second child, I started building a short-term supporting system. One of the critical moves was hiring a postpartum doula, Gen.

Gen helped to prepare the meals, clean the house, do laundry, deal with groceries, clean dishes/bottles, and hold the baby whenever needed. She taught me how to use the baby carrier correctly and different ways to claim the baby when our daughter is fussy. Gen also ensured I got enough rest to recover and showed me different approaches to be more effective with housework.

During the six weeks that Gen was with us, we didn’t eat a single TV dinner, which we had a lot with our first kid. We were struggling to find the formula. She keeps her eyes on the shelves whenever she does her grocery runs. Our dishwasher, garbage disposal, and washing machine decided to go out together in the same week. Gen cleaned all the dishes by hand and offered to use her washer to wash our clothes while we got things fixed. Many other tiny things she did became a great help later. I have to say; she took most of the stress out of me.

Six months after our second child was borned, I’m pretty sure I have been the odds of not having postpartum depression this time. Thanks to Gen's hard work. I highly recommend her to anyone is looking for hiring a postpartum doula.

It is with great pleasure that I am providing a testimonial on behalf of my doula, Genevieve Wang. In short, Gen was reliable, consistent, caring, and deeply comforting during my pregnancy with my second son. Gen has a knack for determining how/where/when she is most needed. She is empathetic on a deep level, and is candid and honest when she shares her own personal experiences with clients. The combination of being a good listener, of knowing how to support quietly and non intrusvely, but also being excellent company, was a perfect formula for me. Any question I might have about whether I need to pump and dump, about sleep training methods, about easing my older child into sibling-hood -she was on top of it - always without judgement, providing information and knowledge for my consumption. Speaking of consumption, Gen is a fantastic cook. Not only were her meals flavorful, they were healthy and nourishing. Gen also picked up on the trauma that I was still processing from an unplanned emergency C section. Her support really carried me through not remembering meeting my baby! She was there for the baby, but first and foremost, she was looking after me. I feel there is no value that can be assigned to the love and care I received from Gen. Last but not least, I don't think I would have been able to successfully breastfeed my baby without Gen's guidance and support. When I had nipple damage, I was very comfortable with Gen taking a look and providing me with tips on my son's latch and positioning. I was able to nurse my son well past my goal of a year and it's been a source of great pride and accomplishment for me. In conclusion, you will not find a more committed, caring, devoted, or knowledgeable doula. Gen is a fantastic mother and friend, and these inborn traits lend to being a fantastic doula, which she is. Your entire family will be thrilled with her services and she may just become a part of your family, like she became a forever favorite in ours.
