I cannot say enough good things about Chelsea. She was an excellent birth and post partum doula. I thought I was pretty informed going into pregnancy and child birth and she was still an extremely invaluable part of my journey. She explained things to me using facts and science and only gives her opinion when prompted. Her main goal is for you to be safe, healthy and supported - regardless of the type of pregnancy, birth and post partum experience you are looking for (and certainly did not judge the trashy reality TV shows I wanted to watch while laboring in the hospital - she gets extra points for that).
Chelsea goes above and beyond in other aspects as well, such as ensuring car seats are installed properly, making sure we were comfortable with ALL baby gear, etc. She is very responsive and is still checking in on my family even though my baby girl is now 2 months old. I’d also like to shout out the fact that she constantly made me laugh, which is always a plus. It felt like having a very informed/educated friend along for the crazy ride that childbirth is. Highly recommend her - you will not regret it!

We hired Chelsea for help overnights when our 2nd child was born. From the start, she was absolutely amazing to work and she’s the kind of person who you can click with right away. She was honestly essential in surviving those first few weeks with a newborn and a toddler. With her help, we could focus on getting our 2 year old to bed, and then get a full nights sleep knowing our newborn was in good hands! Chelsea is a breath of fresh air during the postpartum fog. Every night that she helped us she’d be so much fun to talk to, give great advice and knowledge, and offer support when we just needed to vent. When we were finished working with Chelsea, our baby was sleeping 7-8 hour stretches and Chelsea loved, supported, and responded to our daughter’s cues the whole time. I really believe that this postpartum experience was so much smoother because we had her in our back pocket. If you’re considering hiring her, you really won’t regret it! Chelsea is confident at what she does, because she truly is a natural at it. We are going to miss having her a part of our household!

Chelsea provided overnight postpartum support for our family after the birth of our second child. We highly recommend working with her — Chelsea is communicative, extremely knowledgeable, kind, and dependable. She’s just the type of person you want around during pregnancy and postpartum. We’re grateful for her unrelenting support, which gave us much needed peace of mind (not to mention extra hours of sleep!) as we welcomed our new baby. She’s the best of the best!

Took me a bit to write this, after having a babe but wanted to make sure to because of how great Chelsea was for us!
She is an amazing doula and well worth the investment. Extremely knowledgable in all the random things. I was a well researched mama, but she still taught me a lot of things and was always available to me to give advice (and still is, which is so kind of her!) One of the biggest reasons I loved birthing with Chelsea was her ridiculous amount of patience with my ever changing birth choices. I was extremely indecisive towards the end of my pregnancy; wanting things to progress naturally but when they didn’t and I had to make choices she was beyond patient with me. Stayed with us for an almost 24 hour labor and though I continuously told her to take a break, she insisted on staying by our side and barely left the room. I appreciated her advocating for me by just being present, which her presence alone was enough to ensure the midwife didn’t make choices that I wouldn’t have agreed to. Its extremely difficult navigating a hospital birth, but wanting freedom of choice and having a Doula gives you more freedom because they are an advocate for you when you are at your most vulnerable. I was unable to speak when I was in so much pain and she piped up for me and held the doctors, nurses and midwife accountable. When its all said and done, although my birth did not go as I had hoped, in the sense that I was hoping to have less intervention, I am so happy it went as well as it did and Chelsea was a big part of that!

I hired Chelsea relatively early on in my pregnancy after interviewing a slew of qualified and lovely candidates. I can’t say why precisely I chose Chelsea over the others, other than that we “clicked”, and I knew straight away that we’d make a good team. Her buoyancy and sense of humor were grounding and comforting during my daughters delivery, and her knowledge of all things pre and post partum has been an invaluable resource during this time that, while beautiful and unique, also presents numerous challenges. Chelsea is punctual, reliable, friendly, competent, and savvy- a steadfast and reassuring presence during a time when we all could use someone like her in our corner.

Trigger warning. This was a devastating and tragic birthing experience.
In one word, Chelsea is my hero. Chelsea will forever be in my life and always be family now. She got me through my pregnancy with an IUGR, insufficient placenta, umbilical restricted, high-risk baby named Charlie. She was attentive, knowledgeable, caring, assertive, and the best advocate I could've hoped for. As a single mother, she was my cheerleader, and by my side through everything I experienced.
Out of nowhere in my 35th week of pregnancy, I experienced severe onset preeclampsia, concealed complete placental abruption and DIC. In the ER, I learned that my baby had no heartbeat. I called Chelsea first out of my support team. She arrived within the hour and stood by my side as I was abrupting/dying. Her voice kept me alive. She was the person that kept me awake during my massive blood transfusion. My mother and her washed and dressed my precious baby. When left ICU into recovery, Chelsea went into another hard labor a floor below me. She was there for that mothers 30 hr traumatic labor as well as me simultaneously. Talk about a goddess!
Words cannot describe my appreciation for her. Interviewing her to be my Doula is still the best thing I could've ever done. Her rate is beyond fair and the best investment in my pregnancy. Chelsea was supportive while growing and learning with me. We were gearing up for Charlie to be a NICU baby and she had experience with such. She fought for me as more than a Doula could be described as. I had a tragedy and death occur but I had Chelsea. Chelsea experienced the worst of her career/life with me and yet she is more driven as ever. As we grieve and mourn, I am hopeful because I have her. In my next pregnancy, Chelsea's presence will be what gets me through. I thank her, love her, and will always be grateful for her.
My experience with Chelsea is and was without a doubt essential to my existence.

Chelsea was incredible and we don't know how we would have made it through our birth experience without her. She was there for both mom and dad to support and help advocate for what we wanted. When we were presented with a tough situation, Chelsea helped us navigate through what was out of our control and prepare for the unknown as best as we could, while allowing us to make our own decisions/choices without any judgement. We wanted a calm and supportive environment as possible when laboring at the hospital and that's exactly what we got. We really valued her support before, during, and after birth and feel like she truly cares for her clients and their family.

As a new father who was initially skeptical about hiring a doula, I cannot express enough how grateful I am for Chelsea Da Paz's incredible support and guidance throughout our pregnancy journey and childbirth. From the moment we decided to work with Chelsea, she completely transformed my perspective on the value of having a doula.
Throughout the pregnancy, Chelsea was a constant source of support for both myself and my partner. She provided invaluable information, helped us create a birth plan that aligned with our preferences, and offered emotional support during moments of uncertainty.
When the time came for labor and delivery, Chelsea's support was truly priceless. She knew exactly how to support my partner through each contraction, offering comfort measures and encouragement that made a world of difference. As a father, I felt empowered and included in the birthing process thanks to Chelsea's guidance and support. She was very successful at providing a calm and tranquil experience.
Every father should consider hiring a doula like Chelsea Da Paz. Her presence not only alleviates the stress and anxiety often associated with childbirth but also enhances the overall experience for both partners. Chelsea's expertise, empathy, and unwavering dedication to her clients make her an invaluable asset during this transformative time in life.
I can confidently say that working with Chelsea was one of the best decisions we made for our family. Her positive impact on our childbirth experience cannot be overstated, and I wholeheartedly recommend her services to any father-to-be who wants to ensure a positive and empowering birth experience for their partner and themselves.

Chelsea was our doula for 8 weeks. We initially hired her for 6 weeks, but quickly realized the value she brought and extended it for another 2 weeks. As first time parents, I felt so safe having someone we could rely on, ask questions, and be there through the toughest nights to get past the sleep deprivation. We highly recommend hiring Chelsea as a doula.

My family brought Chelsea into our home as an overnight doula for my first few weeks postpartum. Chelsea gave my family the ability to get some sleep during the first hard weeks with a newborn. She helped us understand soothing techniques that worked best for our baby. We spent time with each evening when she arrived to ask questions and get advice and she took extremely detailed notes and reviewed them with us before she left in the morning. She helped us understand soothing techniques that worked best for our baby. Chelsea was extremely supportive of me in my goals for breastfeeding and brought my newborn to me for each feeding at night. Chelsea continues to check in with me to provide support and answer any questions I have.

When I delivered my son in June 2020, Chelsea was extremely supportive of my husband and I while I was recovering from a difficult birth and was very present during those first few newborn months. Chelsea taught us the “how-to’s” of caring for a new baby and offered different tips and supplies to make the transition into our new life easier. This support was appreciated and valued by us, no one else we knew of could have provided that to us. Along with Chelsea’s knowledge and in-depth research of caring for babies, she understands the struggles postpartum mothers endure. Chelsea is happy to share her knowledge and genuinely wants to help others. Having someone else understand what I was going through meant a lot, I felt that I wasn’t alone and had support in a time when it mattered most.

Where to start? Chelsea was my lifeline. My daughter is a pandemic baby, and I was navigating both pregnancy, the newborn phase, and infanthood without the village you hope you'll have. Chelsea was always just a text away, with useful advice or ideas, words of wisdom, or just "You got this". With a link to follow every answer she gave me, or a personal story of what might be worth trying, it was easy to feel like Chelsea knows everything. My daughter was two, and I was still asking for advice, the first time she told me "I don't know." It was about bath paints. I asked her how I was supposed to trust strangers on the internet? Yet here we are.
From being supportive of my chosen parenting style to offering anecdotes about what's worked for her and what hasn't, Chelsea guides without pushing, and offers different options when things don't go as planned (my daughter still challenges me with her sleep habits). She guided me through my pregnancy, through birth, those terrifying first few days and weeks, the wonder and challenge of breastfeeding, the joys of babywearing, the impossible struggle of never feeling good enough.
Chelsea is the real deal!

Chelsea is absolutely amazing! I am impressed and in awe with her passion for all things motherhood. Through her own experiences, she has become an incredible resource for women during pregnancy and during those crucial, trying first months of post-partum. Her kind demeanor makes her approachable and easy to talk to.
I recommend any woman looking for doula support to reach out to Chelsea without any reservation. She is an intelligent, competent, capable and dedicated young woman.

It is a great pleasure of mine to write a character reference for Chelsea Da Paz. I have known Chelsea for 7 years. Chelsea has been a close friend that has become family. Chelsea informed me she wanted to apply to help mothers postpartum and I couldn’t think of a better role for her. I myself just had my first child in June of this year and Chelsea was there for me. Not only during normal hours of the day but in the early morning hours of breastfeeding struggles, when the whole house was sleeping, and it was just baby Connor me and tears.
When I think of a supportive, honest, there for you through the worst and the best of times, I think of Chelsea Da Paz. She had me prepared with ice packs and peri-care baskets that I didn’t even know I would need. She is an amazing mother and person. I have watched her through both of her pregnancies and postpartum periods and in that time, she has self-learned a wealth of knowledge that she is always willing to share. I know I was blessed to have Chelsea as a support person during my postpartum period and I hope she gets the opportunity to help others in the way she helped me.

I'm not sure I could have made it through my pregnancy and the baby prep period or the postpartum months without Chelsea's help. She curated my registry with me, advising me on the safest and most highly regarded products; when YouTube failed me, she taught me how to figure out baby carriers so I could wear my infant; and she answered hourly text messages and almost daily phone calls once I had my baby as I struggled with breastfeeding, pumping and postpartum anxiety. As a first time mom, I felt like Chelsea was my guiding light into parenthood. To this day, she still coaches me as I learn to parent a toddler. I am forever grateful to her for all that she has done for me — and continues to do — and I can't recommend her highly enough.
