Post a testimonial for Jennifer Mendez

Jenn was a true angel for my family. She came our first night home from the hospital and 3 other nights to assist with caring for our newborn so we could get some extra rest and have peace of mind. She supported me breastfeeding with tips, tricks and brainstorming the best schedule for baby to allow my supply to continue to come in successfully. She would take the baby, change her, put her to sleep, wake her for feeds and bring her to me in bed. Then we'd repeat that like clockwork so I could sleep in between. She did laundry, washed pump parts and made sure I had snacks and a full water bottle at all times. My baby was comfortable with her and Jenn did everything so effortlessly. I felt as rested as possible and confident on my breastfeeding journey.

I can't begin to describe how amazing it was to have Jennifer as my doula. It felt like I had another family member in my birth room, one that reminded me how strong I was in the middle of such a sacred and vulnerable moment. Jennifer encouraged me to find my roar. I felt free to let my body and my voice do what they needed to do, without feeling shame for any of it.
Even when things got intense, Jennifer started preparing us way ahead, before any doctor started suggesting interventions. She was 10 steps ahead of anyone. Yet she remained a gentle force that kept me believing in myself. I felt like such a badass, so strong, so proud of me! If you have the opportunity to work with Jennifer, do not take it for granted.

Jennifer was my birth doula for my very long, unplanned induction. She showed up without hesitation in the middle of the night on Monday evening and supported me every moment until my Cesarean section on Wednesday afternoon. She found the perfect balance in encouraging me to move my body while also allowing me time to rest. She was attentive while also creating space for my husband to support me. She advocated for me without overstepping. Her many years of knowledge show through instantaneously but she is also very humble and empathetic. One thing I remember very well is her gift of massage - during labor it really helped me relax and release tension. I would highly recommend her for both birth and postpartum work.

Jennifer provided postpartum services for me when my daughter was about a month old. Jennifer was kind, caring and extremely helpful as I transitioned into motherhood. I felt comfortable and assured that my daughter was in great hands which allowed me to rest. Jennifer provided helpful information about baby and nursing. I am so grateful for her and only wish I had connected with her sooner. She is incredible!

Jennifer was an absolute godsend in the early days with my first child. She was beyond knowledgeable, extremely caring and a true comfort to me during the wee hours of the night. We were so relieved and eased by her presence in her home that we asked her to come during the day to help out, as well! Whenever she was with us, she made sure the baby's laundry was done and folded - and sometimes that meant doing our laundry, as well. We trusted her completely to watch our child and to ensure that all of our needs were being met, to all of our preferences. We would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone look for a professional, caring and experienced doula.

From the very first moment I met with Jennifer I knew I had to look no further because in that moment I knew she was rhe right doula for me. She engaged my spouse and mother in the birth plan and while I gave birth at the hospital. She was my advocate when I couldnt advocate for myself. As soon as I texted her she made her way to me and when she got to the hospital she began to help prepare me with birthing exercises and setting the ambiance in the room. When I changed my mind about certain interventions she met me half way. She even stayed a little past her time so she could be there for the birth of my child. I will never forget my experience with Jennifer. She is the very best!

Jen was recommended to me by a coworker, he just had his first daughter and was telling me about doula and how their birth story was a success. I was curious of doula as my first pregnancy ended up in a cesarean and did not realize how traumatic the experience it was of me. This time around, pregnant with my second baby, I want it different. I want a successful vbac. Everything was healthy until I gotten news I have gestational diabetes and on top of that my OB schedule a cesarean with out my knowledge as a backup plan because 1. My first came over due, 2. He was 9lb baby 3. My aged over 35. 4. Gestational diabetes. This cause alot of emotions with my OBgyn and it was too late for me to change OBgyn. Jen reached out and we scheduled a zoom meeting and learning Jen's experiences in her 3 births and the way she was carried herself, she was attentive listening to me and my concerns and my desire of a VBAC. Her passionate and loving mother made my decision easy to have Jen as my doula! Jen made check ins on how I'm doing and my pregnancy. She is resourceful, she provided tips and homework for me to open up my pelvic area/floor. I made sure to work those homework daily because I want the birth that I want. She even request me to see a Webster Pretnal chiropractor which was new to me and I am willing to try! She always available for all my questions! She even provided backup Doulas for me to be reassure I am advocate for. Jen made it possible for mama like me with gestational diabetes to have a successful VBAC and being unmedicated is my dream that came true! She's so encouraging and positive. I highly recommend Jen!

Jennifer was such an amazing support system for us throughout my pregnancy and birth experience. She was extremely knowledgeable and was always there to help put me at ease when I had questions. She's patient, compassionate, caring, understanding and so much more. She made me feel so comfortable during labor and was there to advocate for me. I would 100% recommend her to anyone seeking a doula for both an educational and emotional support. She's the best!

When I became pregnant early in 2023, I decided to hire a doula. The experience I had during labor and delivery of my first born was less than ideal. I knew, this time I needed support. Upon my first meeting with Jennifer, I felt this was a wonderful match. We began working together during my first trimester. Jen was always there to answer my questions and help put me at ease. She visited my home numerous times. Earlier on in my pregnancy to show me exercises to help with pregnancy and labor. Then later to show my husband and I how to work through labor. All the help and support I received from Jen during my pregnancy was amazing, but not nearly as amazing as during labor and delivery. She met us at the hospital once we were admitted with her supplies in tow. She set a relaxing mood in the room with an oil diffuser and calm lighting. She massaged me and got me anything I needed. Most importantly, Jen was my advocate. She made sure I was comfortable with everything the doctors suggested doing, like administering pitocin, for example. If I needed a doctor or nurse, she made sure to find them. Her help though my labor was invaluable! I wanted to do it naturally. Without her support through the INTENSE pain, I'd have never been able to do it. She was there to take photos during delivery and helped with my daughters first latch. I recovered very well and quickly. I believe this was due to her help through an unmedicated labor and through the exercises she showed me during pregnancy. Jen's last home visit was a week after my daughter was born. She came with gifts and lactation cookies. She has continued to be a resource for me weeks later. I adore this woman and would hightly recommend to anyone considering hiring a doula.

Jennifer was absolutely amazing! From our first home session, to birth, to our postpartum visit... she was extremely helpful. She provided me with the necessary information and resources to prep myself for birth. And during birth she helped me through each contraction, assuring me that I can get through it and I did! She gave me with the upmost confidence throughout pregnancy and birth. I look forward to utilizing her services for my future pregnancies ??
