Lauri helped make our birth experience the redemptive, empowering experience we were so hoping for!

Our first birth in 2022 was, unfortunately, pretty traumatic for us. It was a long induction and our son immediately went to the NICU. When prepping for the birth of our second baby, hiring a doula was a non-negotiable for us. We knew that having someone in the room to support us emotionally and physically was something we were missing from our first birth.

When we met with Lauri for our consultation she took the time to understand what happened in our first birth and encouraged us that this birth would be different. What really set Lauri apart was her focus on my husband's experience. During our consultation, my husband expressed some regret about his role during our first birth. Lauri made it her mission to empower him in supporting me through labor and that he would have a positive experience as well.

What I loved most about working with Lauri was that she never told us what to do or intervened in our decision making. She empowered us in our decisions and always talked through our options with us. I wasn't sure if I wanted to have an intervention free birth because I know they have their time and place - and Lauri completely respected that. She helped educate and empower every step of the way!

I can truly say that we got the birth experience that we so deeply desired. Lauri encouraged me with her words through tough contractions, gave the best double hip squeezes and counterpressure, brought in other comfort measures, held my leg through pushing, and even snapped some pics on her phone during labor and birth for us. With Lauri's support and presence in the room, my husband was able to be completely present and involved in the birth. He was able to be right alongside me and support me.

I highly recommend Lauri if you are considering hiring a doula (which you really should)!

We will forever cherish the gift of having her by our side, and I’m endlessly grateful for the love and dedication she brings to her work.

As first time parents, my wife Emily and I didn't know what to expect during the delivery of our child. We did as much research as we could but we knew we wanted to have the best options available for our delivery.  It was at this time that we found Lauri. It was a blessing we found someone so experienced and personable. She was there with us every step of the way until the baby was born. Lauri was very helpful and kind, always assisting my wife to find the most comfort and giving her the best pep talks. She knew all of our nurses that we had and helped keep what could've been a stressful and wonderful situation exclusively wonderful. Overall, it was such an amazing experience and we couldn't have been happier choosing Lauri to be there with us on that special day.

Lauri was my doula at the birth of my second child and it made such a huge difference in my birthing experience! She is the perfect advocate, very knowledgeable about the birth process, and she helped me relax and breathe throughout the final stages as things got intense. I love her laid back personality and how in tune she is with everything. She’s compassionate, detail oriented, and trustworthy. Thanks to her the doctors and nursing staff followed my birth plan exactly how I had requested. It’s evident that Lauri is very gifted in this and we highly recommend her!

Lauri was pivotal in making my VBAC dreams a reality! She was so comforting, reassuring, and cared for me each step of the way. You can tell Lauri has educated herself well and loves to help educate you in a gentle way. I could truly not have done this without her support. My experience with Lauri was great. She listened, answered all of my questions, and as a first time mom I had a lot. She was extremely communicative and responsive all hours of the day. She kept calm and kept me & my husband calm and informed on medication & procedures while I was in labor. I 100% would recommend Lauri to pregnant moms.

Lauri was an invaluable help for me throughout pregnancy, during labor, and afterwards. Her expert knowledge and steady demeanor were the difference maker for me to make it smoothly through what could have been a very painful stretch in the hospital. Most importantly she is supportive of the type of labor you want to have no matter what it might be. I would absolutely recommend her services to anyone.

I met Lauri when she came to a parenting class I was at and gave a presentation.  She definitely had me intrigued, she gave a very informative intro and answered all my questions. I reached out to her to have a meeting for furthering and I become her client after that. She followed me closely and had weekly meetings, since I'm a complicated high risk. She gave me a lot of practical advice; especially with my severe morning sickness that didn't seem to be able to get under control. She had resources I didn't, due to being a long standing local and an efficient doula. I'm impressed with her communication skills. She was always just a phone call, text or even would just show up at my door if needed. She helped me through all my fears and was my tireless advocate.  She always supported me and made me feel like family. She was amazing postpartum! She went above and beyond, went and took care of my house, animals, and made sure we had food. I would highly recommend her. I would use her services again if I had the chance!!! Lauri is amazing and definitely should be your only choice.

Hello. My name is Eric Leon. I'm desiring to write a review about Lauri as a doula. She pays attention to detail. Always engaged and solely committted to the task at hand. Lauri provided care for my wife as she was in her final weeks of pregnancy. She was by our side almost every single day, making sure we were emtional and physically well as we anticipated the coming of our child. Making sure we were prepared, she gave great advice so the process of giving birth would be enjoyable and kept my wife and I informed of what to expect as the days were drawing toward the delivery date. Lauri loved on us so well and I as a father appreciated her attentiveness and passion and care for us. If you get to read this, Thank you again Lauri.

Lauri was my doula for my second birth and WOW! What a difference from my first birth experience! First, Lauri was a wealth of information leading up to the birth of our son. She regularly checked in with me to provide me with tips on how to deal with the normal aches and pains of pregnancy as well as help me mentally and physically prepare for labor. She was super supportive of how I wanted to give birth and how I wanted my husband to participate in the process. And while I opted for a natural birth she made it clear that if I decided after the fact to change my mind she would be supportive and advocate accordingly. Having her present during the birth made it easier for my husband to simply focus on supporting and encouraging me, while she focused on helping me through natural pain management like massage. She’s the perfect kind, knowledgeable, and motherly figure to walk with you through the beauty and hard that is pregnancy, labor, and delivery. We are now expecting our third child and are excited to be using Lauri as our doula again. She’s the best!
