Where do I begin! Being first time parents, Andrea was a true gift to our family as the thought of coming home from the hospital with our son and not knowing up from down was daunting. Enter Andrea!
Andrea came to our apartment a few weeks before our son was born to provide feedback on how the nursery was organized and share some helpful need-to-know tips. Once he was born, Andrea started her true magic. She came in and helped by showing us how to change diapers, how to swaddle, how to bathe, how to feed, how to soothe, how to pump, how to store milk, etc. She helped answer the million questions we had about having a newborn, handled light housework such a preparing meals, doing laundry, and washing bottles, all of which really helped relieve our stresses.
I’ve lived in Hoboken for 7+ years and after getting to know Andrea, she has introduced me to the true community that exists here. Andrea is so interconnected and is always in the know about what’s going on. From baby 101 classes, to mommy and me fitness classes, to places that would be great to take our newborn to, and everything in between. She has so many connections with people in town and isn’t afraid to make introductions happen!
Overall, Andrea has a real way with people. She gives her all into the amazing work she does for families and her calming/reassuring demeanor was incredibly helpful for me postpartum. The families who are lucky enough to work with Andrea know how passionate she is about postpartum support. My husband, son, and I are incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity for Andrea to come into our home and can’t thank her enough for all the that she provided us.

We are so lucky to have had Andrea as our postpartum doula. Andrea taught us newborn basics including giving our daughter her first bath and trimming her nails, gave us time to rest and recharge, and fueled us with lots of delicious meals throughout the fourth trimester. As a local Hoboken mom herself, she was able to help us navigate our little city with many recommendations for local spots. Andrea was a bright light in our home and we would recommend her to any Hoboken family!

Working with Andrea completely put me at ease as we welcomed our first baby. As a FTM I felt overwhelmed and Andrea stepped right in to make my days more manageable. From bath time to trimming nails, Andrea helped me tackled each “first”with confidence. She organized the nursery in a thoughtful way, meal prepped and sat with the baby so I could take a walk or nap. I cannot recommend Caring for You Doula more!

I am so glad to have Andrea as my doula! It was not easy navigating a new routine with newborn without the help of family members and was thankful to have Andrea around. She has provided guidance and tips on breastfeeding, taught me to wear a carrier and encourage me to bring baby out when I am alone. I was in the middle of moving house and she helped us out with packing and cleaning. She is always one step ahead on the chores and care for my wellbeing. If you are looking for a post partum doula, I will definitely recommend Andrea :)

Andrea was an amazing resource and support in our first few weeks as new parents. She joined us in our home while we were traveling back and forth daily to the NICU and provided wonderful meals and words of encouragement. When we brought our baby home she was an immense support navigating feeding, napping and general care for our baby. Each time she joined us it felt like a weight lifted off our shoulders and we always learned something new. I highly recommend partnering with her postpartum.

Angels do exist! I was referred to Andrea through a Facebook Mom Group. My husband returned to work one week after I came home from the hospital and I had been looking for a part time Mommy helper / Nanny to help out during the day. As it got closer I was having a hard time knowing what I needed since this was my first child and I still was learning so much about taking care of her and healing. Andrea came into our home so seamlessly & started finding ways to help make my life easier and aid in my feeling better. From making sure I ate, to unloading groceries, cooking, allowing me to take a nap, teaching me how to use my baby carriers, and even letting me leave the house occasionally. Andrea helped me not only gain a sense of peace when I felt like I was all alone, but helped me understand how to be a more confident and better caregiver. She even helped show me how to do bath time, taught me tips & tricks when it came to building routines around naps, and built my baby gear I still had not taken out of the box! What I loved most about Andrea is I didn't have to ask or direct her in what I needed, as I didn't know what I needed. She jumped in head first finding ways to help in any way she could! Thank you so much, Andrea!

I can’t sing Andrea’s praises or recommend her services highly enough. My husband and I hired Andrea to support us after our second was born and she could not have been more helpful in those critical early days. In addition to having a new baby and all the change and learning that accompanies that period, my toddler was home from daycare the two weeks after baby was born and we were simultaneously preparing for a major out-of-state move. During a time that could have been incredibly stressful, Andrea’s support helped us maintain a sense of calm and preparedness. She customized her package to exactly what we needed most - preparing several healthy, delicious, toddler-friendly meals (her pesto and stuffed shells are to die for!), keeping my older son (who adores her!) engaged, entertained, and maintaining his sense of routine in the midst of all the change, and keeping our house tidy and clean (taking care of things like dirty dishes or the garbage without ever being asked). Her support allowed me to focus on the new baby and my own recovery with confidence that everything else was taken care of.
Andrea is highly attuned to the physical and emotional needs of new parents and highly knowledgeable about all things during the postpartum period - she asks thoughtful questions, is incredibly empathetic, and shares helpful resources and advice without being pushy. I love Andrea’s attitude that there is no “one way” to approach parenting, and she helped me to feel more confident in myself, trusting that I knew best what my baby needed.
I’m beyond grateful for Andrea’s support in those early days and confident anyone who books with her will feel the same!
