We had the incredible fortune of having Fiona as our doula to support us through the delivery of our baby girl in October 2023, and we can't express enough gratitude for the exceptional care we received. Fiona not only brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the birthing process but also made our journey truly special.

Fiona's birth education class was also an invaluable part of our preparation. As a lesbian couple, we wanted to ensure that our unique needs and concerns were addressed, and Fiona went above and beyond to create an inclusive and welcoming environment. Her deep understanding of diverse family structures made us feel seen and heard, fostering a sense of connection among the expectant parents. The class was engaging and interactive, Fiona's ability to communicate complex information in a clear and compassionate manner made us feel empowered and well-prepared for the birthing experience. She took the time to answer all our questions and provided personalized guidance, easing any anxieties we had (as much as possible!).

When the time arrived, Fiona's presence was a source of comfort and reassurance. Her calming demeanor and unwavering support played a crucial role in making the birthing process a positive and memorable event for us. She skillfully applied the techniques we learned in class, ensuring that our preferences were respected and our wishes honored, to the extent they could be.

In summary, Fiona is not just a doula; she is a compassionate guide who goes above and beyond to support and uplift the families she works with. Her birth education class is a testament to her dedication to providing inclusive and personalized care. We wholeheartedly recommend Fiona to anyone seeking a doula who not only excels in their professional role but also makes the journey towards parenthood a truly enriching experience.

Having Fiona be a part of our pregnancy and birth experience was pretty incredible. Her calm, knowing, engaged presence was so supportive as we navigated the different world views around pregnancy and birth preparation considerations. I so appreciated her way of sharing that helped make things seem more simple and heart-centered and her expertise in further researching things we spoke about to help us keep considering and learning. I felt like her voice was supporting in the outward conversation my body's wisdom and inner knowing which isn't always the easiest to translate into words. She felt really there for both me and my partner. She helped us have our own birth experience no matter the setting around us - it was like she was able to both join us in our own little world and also help expand that world to make more space for us amidst the hospital setting. And I loved that same steadiness of heart in the weeks following our little one's arrival. We are so so grateful to her and would very much recommend Fiona to be a part of your birthing journey.

Having Fiona as part of my labor and postpartum experience for my first child was incredible. I didn't fully appreciate how much I needed her calm and steady company until we were through the first hazy days with time to reflect! She was an instrumental support to me and my partner during our home birth, making sure we had food and water, that the birth tub was warm, that music was playing, that candles were lit, and that photos were taken. She was a hushed presence working tirelessly behind the scenes. When I was struggling, she offered new positions to try and supported me through them. However, Fiona is also attuned to getting out of the way and offered space for me to find my own inner strength and knowing throughout labor.

In postpartum, she served as a lactation consultant, staying late into the night to ensure we got a good latch. During this stressful process, she made me laugh over and over while both my babe and I were in tears of frustration. Fiona also made sure I was eating well, getting continued lactation support, and helped us to set healthy boundaries with family and friends. The echo of her support continued long after she created a blissful, new-baby bubble for us, an experience I am beyond grateful for.
