My experience couldn't have went as smoothly as it did without my dearest doula Aminah. Planning and preparing for birth is a very nerve wrecking, and scary thing to do on your own. Luckily I was blessed enough to have a doula to guide me along the way. She checked up on me all the time during my pregnancy, and also had meetings to discuss what to expect throughout the stages of pregnancy. A doula is very beneficial to have because she can advocate for you while you focus on delivering. I was attempting to go natural and did up until 9.5 cm; unfortunately I ended up getting a c section after all that hard work. She was right there the whole time and never left until everything was situated and came back the next day to check on the baby and I. She was very supportive of my descisions and always advocated for what I wanted. I am so grateful that I had Mrs. Aminah as a doula because without her I can say I would have had a different experience if she had not prepared me for what was to come with pregnancy. I 100% recommend choosing Mrs. Aminah as your doula because she made my delivery as smooth as it could've went.

Aminah was everything I needed in a doula. This time around in my pregnancy I wanted to do things differently due to my first was very traumatic. I knew I needed a doula for myself to be sure I am taken care of the way I deserve while pregnant and delivery. I ended being considered high risk due to gestational diabetes and taking insulin so I had to drop the program of all natural. I was very sad and embarrassed because in my mind I thought the reason to this was my fault I was unhealthy over weight and was really just hard on myself. Aminah was by my side the whole 9  yards she showed patients she showed love she showed concern she showed compassion. Aminah helped me learn and except she was very informative with generational diabetes. She was informative with delivery and what to expect and also helped with questions I should be asking for my doctor. She was amazing during my pregnancy and delivery even more amazing she stood by my side and encourage me to get through this delivery that I had envisioned. She made sure that I did not go through another traumatic birth. She made sure my voice was heard, and my concerns were taken serious . The womanhood that she provides was beautiful! It's just very outstanding, and she was there to help bring this lovely child of mine into the world. If ever again, I become pregnant I will choose Aminah to be my Doula. I felt safe. Even during my postpartum stage she made sure I am the changes. She was there if I needed anything she is by my side and has created a bond with me and my child. I am truly blessed and give gratitude for having Aminah.

Aminah is an immensely skilled, knowledgeable, experienced, and sensitive doula. We first met her when I was less than two months pregnant, and right away, she gauged what things were most important to us and was already thinking about ways to meet those needs. Throughout the pregnancy and after, every suggestion she made was tailored to us, and we quickly came to trust her implicitly. Aminah truly is an advocate for prospective parents. When I went into labor, Aminah was on call, talking me through early labor pains and ready to come over at the drop of a hat. My labor was tough (all in my back), and my contractions were tough to gauge.

However, Aminah got me into a calm and steady rhythm that helped me to cope with the pain and labor. She was a calming force from start to finish, anticipating every possible need I might have had. Aminah helped me to hand express and feed my son, drop by drop. After we were discharged, she came over to work on latching. She is always available for any other questions we have.

We consider her a friend and could not imagine going through this process without her. If I get pregnant again, she will be my first call! We are ever grateful for Aminah's wisdom, support, and warmth throughout my pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. She was an invaluable resource at each juncture. She is open to various methods and can navigate the medical establishment while respecting alternative, holistic approaches. Her grounded composure and a good sense of humor bolstered our confidence throughout the pregnancy and birth. Aminah is refreshingly no-nonsense and brings a wealth of experience to her practice.
