Skylar was wonderful. I found her through a directory of the book I read called Made for this. After reading this book it gave me a new perspective of birth and how we as women are truly made for giving birth. It was my 3rd pregnancy but it still took the fear out of birth. My first 2 babies I was induced both times and that was not what I wanted for my 3rd baby. I decided to go the natural route this time and Skylar truly helped. My husband and I met Skylar at our house and she helped with exercises to do throughout my pregnancy and exercises I could use while laboring. I went into labor a week early. I starting having contractions, let Skylar know and she came right over around midnight. I kept thinking my contractions were going to get worse because when I was induced with my first 2 babies the contractions were unbearable and I could manage these ones so much better with the help of practicing breathing throughout pregnancy and the many different exercises Skylar helped with. Long story short, I didn't make it to the hospital and Skylar was there to advocate for me when the EMTs came and delivered my son, she spoke up for me and helped my husband keep his cool. He was very happy she was here. She was truly a blessing to work with. She even brought a delicious home cooked meal about a week later and we still keep in touch. Thank you Skylar!!
