We were on the fence about getting a doula but we are so glad we did.  I couldn’t imagine going through this process without Rachael’s knowledge and calm guidance.  Having a trusted source for questions that pop up during pregnancy was incredibly valuable. Googling information is okay but sifting to find quality and reputable information can take time and guesswork. Rachael was great answering questions and always was fast to respond.  She was also very knowledgeable about all the local hospitals.  During labor, having Rachael there to help guide me though the process and help with pain management was invaluable. She helped me labor at home as long as possible. I would have went to the hospital too early without her help.  Once at the hospital, she made the hospital room feel homey and comfortable with flameless candles and aromatherapy. Most importantly Rachael helped me navigate the pain and she was so calming and positive which is really what I needed that day.  Rachael truly cares about the soon to be moms she works with.  Both my husband and I are so thankful for her help and highly recommend her.

I hired Rachel for my last birth experience. My previous births, I had little to no education on labor & birth options. I put blind faith into things going smoothly...which led to a traumatic c section, and NICu time for my son.

When I found out I was pregnant again, I wanted to do everything that I could to have a successful vbac. I researched and planned. Hiring a doula was a top priority on my list. My OBGYN referred me to Rachel.

Rachel was incredibly supportive in my unmedicated birth. She gently nudged me to breathe and move through contractions. She honed in on the small details like the set up of the room, with dim lights and positive affirmations that meant so much to me. Rachel reminded me to play the music I had on a playlist. She helped motivate me through just one more contraction when I was ready to give up and have the epidural.

I am so grateful that I found Rachel. She helped me achieve my vbac. This was a beautiful, healing and empowering experience thanks to her.

We have never met Rachael before, but Rachael Forman was integral to the success in the delivery of our daughter. I will tell you about the type of person she is, how she works and I will tell you why this was important to us. I hope it will give you an idea if Rachael is a good match for you. Rachael Forman is a very experienced doula. She shared her knowledge with us in a way that clicked with us. She got to know us and adapted to our nature and personality, which makes her mellow and openminded. Because this is our first child, she was very adept coming forward with solutions in a manner that gave us autonomy. She coached us, respected our decisions and made us laugh. For me as a partner, she helped relieve me of tension and coached me well. For my wife she eased doubts, gave her confidence and answered any questions we had. Day or night, Rachael was there for us. Then when the time came for delivery, there was Rachael with her bag of tools. Kindly, easily and confidently helping us. Her energy reminded me that this is a delightful moment. I trusted her and that worked out great. She went with us from home to the hospital all the way to the delivery room. She was there every step of the way. She hung up lights in the delivery room. My wife still remembers it soothed her. During all of it, answering any questions I had, nudging me when I was feeling overwhelmed. For my wife she helped position her during labor, and helped coach her with breathing. We delivered a 10lb baby vaginally which wouldn't have been possible without her. The hospital staff made a point of saying they were impressed by her.We are now parents of a beautiful girl. My wife needed additional lactation advice, which Rachael provides. Rachael loves the whole proces of pregnancy and delivery. She exudes enthusiasm for the couple and the new baby. I would absolutely recommend Rachael any time or day. She is highly qualified.

Rachael was absolutely fantastic to work with, and I completely trusted her wisdom and expertise in the delivery room.  With her, I was able to properly communicate my needs to my provider and push myself (in the best way possible) to have the birth I desired even though it didn't exactly follow my original birth plan.  I felt empowered and educated with Rachael by my side, and cannot thank her enough for being there with my husband and I through one of the toughest times in our lives, helping us feel comfortable and calm along the way.  I highly recommend her as a doula for birth.
